Just ordered a few 1.75’s for my Bear hunt end of this month. Done a ton of research and the buzz is all about Sevr so going to give them a shot in 2023👍🏼
Using the Sevr 2", 100 grain with a Tenpoint Turbo S1. This is by far the best mechanical out there. Took one 10 point buck, and two does using them. All three deer didn't go more than 60 years and dropped. The buck and one doe were taken with the same broadhead. Unfortunately it hit a rock when exiting on the doe and messed up one blade. But they have replacement blades. Since then, the 4 other guys I hunt with have all now bought the Sevr 2". Best mechanical broadhead on the market.
Been using rage with collars and had no issues. Bought some no collar rages and twice I found a blade deployed just walking to the stand. Looking to switch. Thanks for the review.
I shot a 1.5 right through a does shoulder blade this year. Passed through the first shoulder and stopped in the second one. Was a 15 yard shot where I nicked a branch. She went 50ish yards
Used 2" Rocky Mountain Gators and gator xp's for 25 years. Always loved the big cutting area. When Rocky mountain went under i was so happy that the Ulmers decided to keep making them and improved the head with locking blades and sharpening them on both sides. Then Easton took them over and the Sevr brand was created and made a great head even better! So cool that they build them in 1.5, 1.75 and 2 inch cuts! And if you really want penetration the build the 150 Robusto as well. I've been preaching the benefits of the rear deploying floating blades for over 30 years now. Such an awesome proven head. Great review, I new in advance though that you were gonna love them! 😉👍👍 Lusk' torture tests with them even blew me away. I did not think they would survive being shot into the concrete block at the end, and they did with flying colors! Hell Rage's were flying apart shooting into the cardboard box penetration test😂😂😂😂 what a joke! Again great honest real world test/review. 👍👍
Wow, you go way back with these style of heads! I leave for CO today to put the 1.75 to the test on elk. I appreciate you checking out the review and channel!
I started using the Sevr Robusto with a crossbow last year after using fixed heads and a compound since 1988. I shot a mature doe in Illinois quartering to hard. Hit it in the brisket in front of the left shoulder and the bolt went through center of the heart and passed through straight through the vitals exiting the liver on the opposite side. The blood trail was tremendous and she went about 30 yards. I’m hoping to get some more experience with this head this year.
This past deer season I shot a doe with the sevr 1.75 and a buck with the 1.5. I was impressed with the shot on the buck. I like sevr and they fly so well.
Just bought the 1.75s looking forward to trying them out. Ive shot swhacker for 10 years never lost a deer but blood trails were minimal at times. Love ur honest reviews!
Shot an almost 150 eight point last year with 1.75. 35 quartering to a little. Went almost all the way through from right behind the shoulder to the back of stomach. This season 10 point a little over 40 with the 1.5. All the way through with a 400 gr arrow. Ill be using them again this year with just a little heavier setup.
Nice video and great review! I've used the 1.75 SEVR with good success, and I'm anxious to try the 2.0 Robusto next season as well. Thanks for sharing!
In more than 50 years of bow hunting I have always used two blade fixed with a few having bleeders but several months ago I tried the 1.5 Sevr on pigs. Most were in the 150# or less class. When hit just behind the shoulder shield plate they would mostly give me a pass thru. Now here’s the deal. I only draw 61-62 #’s at 28”. Arrows are Black Eagle Carnivore at 462 grains. I have hit the plate and still get through it and into the far side and a few the broadhead was protruding out the far side. Blood trails weren’t necessarily any better than my fixed blade hits. The part I like is I can use either the Sevr or fixed blade heads without doing anything to my setup. I only test flight to 60 yards and these Sevr heads hit right with the other. I am surely going to use a Sevr 1.5” on a couple of does at least this fall. And hopefully a coyote or bobcat.
Definitely a head I would like to try. This year I used an afflictor K2 hybrid with excellent results. Basically a mechanical that locks and turns into a fixed head ! Shot a big rutted up Ohio 8 point and it was 6 yards behind him in the dirt . Not saying anything bad about the sevr broadheads at all. But check out the afflictors.
I just ordered a dozen I’ve been shooting rage hypodermics and love them but I was skeptical on the no collar design so figured I’d give the 1.75s a try
I think you'll like them! I've had nice success so far with the 1.75 - shot a nice pronghorn a couple weeks ago and taking them to the elk woods next week!
I shot a buck a couple of years ago with the Sevr 1.5. It was a 32-yard, hard quarter to shot, so I put the pin right on the front part of the shoulder. The broadhead blew through the scapula and exited at the rear ham and buried in the ground. The deer died within 50 yards and the only damage to the broadhead was a slight nick in one blade, which could have been from a bone or a rock in the ground. I will say I was confident the broadhead would perform in that situation as I had done tests earlier that year where it outperformed some solid one-piece fixed blade heads in durability.
@@s.g.holmeshey there man just came across this and definitely has me extremely interested. I live in va was curious to see if you were as well because you stated your season limits and sounds a lot like va. I have the reign 6 and not sure which ones to buy any help from you would be great.

Very thorough video and well put together. Thank you for the input on the Sevr Titanium 2.0 broadheads. I had some in my cart waiting to buy, but this review instilled confidence to move forward with the purchase. How many shots do you get out of one silicone band? Is it one and done when firing the full function of the broadhead, but multiple when in practice mode, since the blades don’t deploy?
You will love those! In practice mode, I recommend to roll the band back to the vanes or remove it. For hunting, the bands are one and done, but each Sevr come with a couple spare bands. Thanks for stopping by the channel. For future purchases, use my Sevr code (SGHOLMES) to save some dough.
I was using iron wills and they’re great but my bow is a pain in the ass to tune with them. I get a bullet hole and then to broadhead tune I have to move the rest so far down and left that I don’t like the arrow flight so I’m gonna give these a try. This way I can check make sure I have a bullet hole and my tunes good and then not mess with anything.
We tried them on Ravin R29x crossbows...they were awful. Did not deploy all the way..Super small entry and exit...didnt recover a nice buck with one..no blood trails!
I use the 2.0 sevr this past fall and the only issue I had with that model is the tip is a weak point I had 2 Broadheads where the top just rolled over and it was hard spine bone shot but I called and they recommended me over to the new 1.75 it’s too is like the 1.5 shorter not as much long point and of course I am using a Ravin r29x at 451 fps so maybe it is just to much for that tip so we will see this fall
What are your bow specs i shoot a mathews v3 27. 28inch draw and 52lb draw weight with 456 grain total weight arrow at 250fps I was wondering if the 2.0 would be to much or should i go with a smaller option
My specs are 29” DL, 70-78 lbs depending on my bow with a 450 gr arrow. I’m usually getting mid 280’-300+ fps, so the 2.0 suits a lot of what I hunt. I would, personally, not go with a 2.0 using your setup - but that’s just me.
@s.g.holmes yea, I have shot the 1.5 before smoked a doe blew through ribs on both sides was just curious on the the 2.0 and how much energy I'd loose.
I've used them on multiple game over the last couple of years with no issues. When you guy 100gr heads, they are 100gr heads regardless of the size. Heads all weigh consistently - very little deviation.
Yo! My man! Would you recommend this broadhead on elk even if I've lowered my draw weight down to 65# (only 28" DL)...provided good shot placement? I purchased 6 of them last week of their 1.5" version. I'm subscribed to your channel now, bro!

Are they purchased as singles at $15 per piece? Do you also cut your arrows to accommodate the length of the broad head for overall length? Last question how do you set it to practice mode? Is there 2 Allen screws?
Yes, so they are around $45ish for 3. Use my code SGHOLMES to save you a few bucks. No, I don't cut my arrows in respect to broadhead length. To enable practice mode, there is 1 allen screw. Thanks for stopping by!

You'll love the 1.75s. I've used Grim Reapers, great head but prefer more of the rear deploying design.
