When TAC vanes shoot they shoot well for me. My biggest issue is that I can't get them to stick consistently. And yes I used their prep pens and glue. Maybe I need to use wraps and use arrow wipes.
I know this is a late comment but , I’m lookin to get the Sonics this year for whitetail hunting. Have you had any durability issues …? I will be going the opposite direction with my setup. 300 spine,75g insert with new Magnus 150g Single Bevel.

I gotcha. I don’t use wipes or alcohol, and just fletch them right to the shaft or wrap.
I run a 3 fletch just put your odd vane down instead of up still shoots the same and get same clearance as 4 vane and takes a few grains off the arrow
With my rest square, I have run into clearance issues. I’ll take a look at that again 🤙🏼
I use victory rip tko with heat vanes I had the tac vanes liked them just like trying different set ups so I switched to heat vanes no complaints yet

No durability issues from my experience. I think they would make a sick whitetail arrow that would absolutely fly!

Yes, but for hunting I’d go up a spine and a heavier insert. I like my arrow around 450ish grains. They’ll get the job done!
