I played this game all throughout my childhood and now work in the medical field as an adult. Thank you, Enter, Return, and Dr Clickitt for inspiring me!!
For music from a 90's game it certainly sounds like something from the 80's, they were probably using 80's synthesizers to compose the music for the game.
Yeah, seriously. Just like LEGO Island was released in 1997 and had 80s synthesizers in the music, Wave Race 64 was released in 1996 and the soundtrack is drowning in 80s synths, Yamaha DX-7 I think. Funny how that turned out. It's as if the 80s never ended for those composers, which is cheesy and awesome at the same time. That was rare in the 90s, when anything related to the 80s was considered very uncool and out of fashion at the time. The 80s nostalgia didn't pick up until the 2000s and 2010s.
Was I the only one who was fully unaware of the 2:20 part for years? One time I had to walk away from the game and coming back to sudden shift was surprising.
I love this song! It's so calm and soothing, like something you'd want to hear at a Hospital. Pity the Emergency theme isn't as popular as Fire Fighters or Police, when it comes to Lego toys.
I listened to this when I came out of my coma in the Northern General Hospital in Sheffield after suffering a brain haemorrhage it rocked me off to sleep at night when I couldn't sleep I might buy myself some LEGO this Christmas I love LEGO xx
Josh Layng We're gonna need this *puts in stretcher* And This *puts in some random lego piece* *Comes in with a shark on my head* Can't go without the shark! *Puts a tree in the ambulance* I hope there's room for the tree. *Brings out an umbrella* And what do with do if it's hot out there?! *Puts in a post office box* What if we have to mail a letter!?
This theme pops into my head from time to time as I work at a hospital. Have to say, though the EMTs at my hospital are much better than the Lego island EMTs 😂
The golden age of hospitals, fulfilling their symbolic oath to healthcare and the well-being of people in need. Doctors were doctors, nurses were nurses and patients were patients in good hands.
I was born in 2001, but when I was little, I played games that were at least from 1994 to maybe around 2004. I remember playing this game, some Monsters Inc. PC game, Sonic's School House, and many games from those Egames 250 game packs; and I played them on Windows ME and Windows XP. Am I the only mid-2000's kid like this?
PrussianKamikaze I had the same OS as you which is Windows ME. I also had something like this from a similar alternative to egames. It was simply just Arcade Games for Windows. I was born in 1999 and thought I was the only one :D
I was born in 1999 and they had this game on the school computer when I was in kindergarten (circa 2005). Went on to beg my parents for it and played it up until about 2010, when we ditched our last PC :(
This song was specifically made for LEGO Island, and a lot of "phone hold" music is from the 80s or early-mid 90s and has a similar "aesthetic" to this, so it's more likely you heard a similar-sounding song.
My favourite song from the game I listened to it when I was in the northern general hospital after i came out of my coma when i suffered a brain hemorrhage thank you for uploading it ❤❤
The first time in a game I played where the hospital is fun and inviting! ( I usually play horror games.) Something about the music when I was little made me feel proud for driving the ambulance. The game was goofy and silly but for some reason I drove the ambulance feeling super dutiful and vigilant. XD
Anyone who knows this game or was on UA-cam back in 2006 to early 2010s will know this song from two sources (If not both): -The game itself -Or from Trouble With Trains
Maybe, I know Lorin did before his boat accident ruined his master tapes, but I haven't been able to trace Huston down, so I dunno if we'll ever know. I wish some kind of soundtrack had been released of this game, it deserved it the most of any of Lego's games.
You know what's sad? There would have been a time where you quitted out of the game and intended to play it again, but you never did
what have you done
you ruined everything!
That was rather heavy to take in!
stop ruining my nostalgia!
fuck ._.

best hospital music ever
Don't drop him!
You mean like that other guy.
Whatever happened to him?
Who?
The Other guy.
We dropped him!
Well don't. drop. him!

Aelita1234 LOL!! That part always made me laugh.
You just reminded me of those hospital men! I knew those lines off by heart LMAOO
Don't forget the shark!
@@HarryBillyBobGeorge I hope there is room for the tree!
I don't know about anyone else, but wouldn't this make the best hold music ever over the phone?
that should definitely happen
A heavily compressed and loud song? Yes perfect for a wait tone. Lol that’s legit all I get when I call my doctor’s office.
Yes, it would.
When I put someone on hold I’m doing that
@@Ztr9 this is actually less compressed than VoIP phone lines.
When life was so much simpler and happier. To all those we lost along the way and those we keep in our memories. Thank you x
Enter and Return are the best male nurses of LEGO Island :D
Incoming!
Outgoing!
Replacing them with Pete Bog in LEGO Island 2 was a poor decision.
They may be the only nurses on the island (male or otherwise), but they're still great!
@@SkaMasta097 That's why they're the best! :D
more accurately they were orderlies
i mean, apart from being the most disorderly people on the island
lego island invented vaporwave

a tree
an umbrella
a shark
a mailbox

Can’t go without the shark...
What if we need to mail a letter?
And what do we do if it’s hot out there?
If I was a paramedic I would listen to this at least once per shift.
I play this song to all my patients over the intercom before I make my grand entrance into their room.
TwoLeggedTriceratops how many actually recognize it?
That's amazing

Was I the only one who was fully unaware of the 2:20 part for years? One time I had to walk away from the game and coming back to sudden shift was surprising.
I loved the Synthesizer in the Background.
I love this song! It's so calm and soothing, like something you'd want to hear at a Hospital. Pity the Emergency theme isn't as popular as Fire Fighters or Police, when it comes to Lego toys.
+Cyberbrickmaster1986 I agree! I love the keyboards and bass guitar in this song. I also wish the paramedics/hospital were more common.
I listened to this when I came out of my coma in the Northern General Hospital in Sheffield after suffering a brain haemorrhage it rocked me off to sleep at night when I couldn't sleep I might buy myself some LEGO this Christmas I love LEGO xx
Why did that part at 1:00 actually make me cry when I was like 7?
I get heavy eyes when I get nostalgic for my childhood in the 90s. Not like "i'm gonna cry" heavy but like just kinda tired. Anyone else get that?
I knocked my head off last week and lost my memory for a while!

Same here.
Absolutely loved the song back then, that synth in the background is so good
Hey that's mine!

Hi, Lorin here. I didn't do this song, I believe it was David Huston.
Would love to hear a high quality version of this!

Hi Lorin,
Sorry it took me 2 years to see this. I've now corrected it.

The best song for a hospital
This theme pops into my head from time to time as I work at a hospital. Have to say, though the EMTs at my hospital are much better than the Lego island EMTs 😂
oh sure take your time, no hurry. after all, you are driving an AMBULANCE
and yeah sure cyclists do your dance routine in the middle of the road. No big deal.
This has triggered memories from my childhood that have nothing to do with this game
same
2:20 to 2:36 I could always imagine this as a musical ambulance siren!
This is one of my favorite songs on here, along with the music from the Residential area and the Information Center.
The golden age of hospitals, fulfilling their symbolic oath to healthcare and the well-being of people in need. Doctors were doctors, nurses were nurses and patients were patients in good hands.
this song invokes an entirely different vibe than what they really are
getting political in the lego island soundtrack comments i see
chase that feeling of nostalgia
Why isn't the lego island soundtrack available on spotify
this theme has been living rent free in my mind for 24 years.

I was born in 1996 and this was one of my the favorite games in my childhood. Except the part where you have to chase Brikster Bastard.
You're not the only one. I was born in 2004 but growing up I still played quite a few 90's games like this one.
I was born in 1999 and they had this game on the school computer when I was in kindergarten (circa 2005). Went on to beg my parents for it and played it up until about 2010, when we ditched our last PC :(

The information center and this song are the most nostalgic. That synth woo 😃
KHRT, K-Hurt, all hospital music, all the time! We just finished a 40 minute block with one of your favourites, the Lego Island theme song!
this one was my favorite - i remembered knowing this the first second hearing it after 20 years
idk why
I hope there's room for the tree

Haven't heard this in soooo long! Love it!
Road Block, I'm not going anywhere! Try the other road.
+CessnaPilot1B9 Damn shark.
That was in the tow truck mission. The only obstacle with the ambulance was two bikers
If I remember correctly you could actually bypass it if you were quick enough and kept nudging yourself into the corner.
Wow its so cool to see so many people have the same childhood moments..its like i wasnt the only one playing this?
Props to the composer for making a theme that compels me to save lives.
We gotta have this!
And this!
Can't go without the shark!
I hope there's room for the tree!
And what do we do if it's hot out there?
The memories.
Fresh soundtrack
This was an absolute banger and still is lol 😂
I want this song to be played at my funeral.
This song is way to epic.
Can't go without the shark!
I'm not crying in happy nostalgia tears, you are 😪

PEPPER: HURRY! Some dude is choking in there!
POV: Friday September 15th, 7 pm in the hospital after a long shift. The sun is setting
So emotional I’m tearing up just listening to it
Not that you NEED any help, but I can't help myself!
This one is the best
AAAAAAAAA I NEED A MEDIC BAG
I liked music back in those days.
I always thought it a shame you can't build your ambulance or fix a patient. You can only recuse sick people with the ambulance.
So this is the song that planted the love of synth in child me? It's so good even today.
The days when hospitals were the symbol of humanitarian rescue...
Nowadays people think of those nurses from Silent Hill when they enter hospitals
Enter and Return always startin some shit
this song is so comforting, I played this game at 6 years old!
This song reminds me of Andy's Theme from Advance Wars
I fell asleep to this last night x
Try and figure out the shortest route, it doesn't matter which order, just go!
I came back here in 2021, now I see why people are asking for a pepper mod for Friday night funkin.
I want someone to put REAL HUMAN BEAN over this
AND HERO TO ZERO
Holy V A P O R W A V E
This song hits.
It is Lego.
It IS the 90s.
fuck, man
Still own the game... Time to play it again.😊
This was by David Huston... not everything in this game that wasn't by The Torpedoes was by Lorin
I wonder if he has a "normal" quality version, since I assume the song as it appears in game was compressed.
Maybe, I know Lorin did before his boat accident ruined his master tapes, but I haven't been able to trace Huston down, so I dunno if we'll ever know. I wish some kind of soundtrack had been released of this game, it deserved it the most of any of Lego's games.
I'm not sure if he's legitimate, but he seems to have replied to this thread recently
"Can't go without the shark!"
"I hope there's room for the tree!"
LEGO WAVE
Does anybody have the music that plays when you open up the install wizard for this game? It's like a really short loop but it's so good.
2:19 this part though.
When played at 0.75 speed, it sounds like Bittersweet Symphony.
So the last time when I was stoned, for some reason this played in my head out of nowhere.
Hey enter, I need a leg up.
Enter: (gives leg) here you go.
+The TIMidator (Timothy Krebs) Return: No, I mean help getting up. (Knocks Enter back with the leg)
+Ben Gray
Enter: (falls down) I'm the one who needs help getting up.
+The TIMidator (Timothy Krebs) Return: (gets up) Are you pulling my leg?
+Ben Gray
Enter: (gets up and points to leg) you mean this is yours?
Beginning reminds me of atmosphere by joy division
Reminds me of the music from Evolution for dreamcast.
Wha~?.. I played Lego Island a lot, really a lot, but never heard this moment at 2:19. o_0
I don't know about you, but this music reminds me of Roblox when I hear it and that seems fitting enough.
now watch me whip
LEGO Island invented the Backrooms and vaporwave before it was cool.
Sounds like "Back in the High Life" by Steve Winwood.
Exactlyyyyyyyyy
Now that is some excellent boat music
