"We Gotta have this!" "And this!" "Can't go without the shark!" "I Hope there's room for the tree!" "And what'll we do if it's hot out there?" "What if we have to mail a letter?"
When I was a teen, my cousins would come over and we'd play the HECK out of this game. We all liked the music so I dragged in my stupid-huge CD/Cassette player with the recorder and tried recording this from the cheap desktop speakers. It sounded terrible but I think we all loved that silly recording. To hear it again is such a cleaned up version, man it feels great!
Finally, someone who is actually paying attention to the original material in terms of dates and where the exact samples/patches came from in order to recreate stuff properly. This and the work you put into Xtal are something almost no one ever does I'm highly impressed. I think you might be the first I've been aware of to go to this length.
Man, that's what I love about music, there are a lot of people that cares about this songs of their childhood, the hospital theme gives me a lot of 80's vibes
I can't express what this piece means to me. So much time spent just listening as a child, trying to grasp why this song hit me the way it did. It touches something pure and simple but complex and exciting at the same time; a dream of health for all.
you madlad you actually went to the bottom of the sea and went to get a lego island master tape to get this lol kidding, but srsly this sounds awesome!
I remember this game very fondly and I miss it very much. Hearing this again reminds me of the time in my life when things were a lot more simpler and more innocent.
Dude this is so good!! I think this was the only song on the soundtrack that didn't have a high quality backup but your recreation is superb. For those who don't know, the masters of all of the Lego island songs were lost when the houseboat of the person that had the tapes sunk. Somebody else had sam high quality copies of most of the songs in the soundtrack but the hospital was not one of them so the original high quality recording is lost forever
So many memories this game. I found also the different dev interview very interesting : democratization of video games so Lego decided to take the lead and dev own video games, in case of the "classic toys" will be abandon by the kids and users. Today they continue to sell games promoting their own products and collaborated with licences. A good example of change management
Man, this song, along with the Information Center and Information Center Top songs, were the best in LEGO Island's OST. Very nice replication, this sounds practically like the original!
@@Milepost93Productions I played LEGO Island a lot when I was a kid (I played the LEGO games a lot in general). I’m 24 now, and I still find myself randomly humming the melodies to this game’s music once in a great while.
I tried a General MIDI cover once and gave up... while just writing the intro! You're extremely right, it's tough to pick out all the notes in the chords when your reference material is such a low sampling rate... and mono. Great job on this, you went to some crazy depths for the authenticity
Fantastic work on this. I was sad to see that the master tapes didn't have this track, as it was my favorite. (so 80s aahhhhh) Great work on this cover!
Amazing. One of my all-time favorites... and it came from a Lego video game! So nostalgic, smooth, and chill. Very impressed with this mega-accurate remake.
Thank you so much, this song is incredibly valuable to me hahah. It sounds so stupid but I always hoped I could have a HD rendition. Thank you so, so much!

The golden age of hospitals, fulfilling their symbolic oath to healthcare and the well-being of people in need. Doctors were doctors, nurses were nurses and patients were patients in good hands.
Thank you so much. This was my favourite piece of music from the Lego Island soundtrack, and I was so gutted it wasn't one of the recovered HQ songs. This has made my day, maybe even my week :)
He doesn't have the HQ tracks, he had to create this one from scratch himself because while most of this soundtrack was able to be recovered from some Master tapes, the Master tapes Dad contained the hospital theme was lost in a houseboat accident
@@FIDEL_CASHFLOW_ Well that's a shame. But the fact that this song is available online in high quality in spite of what happened is already incredible to say the least.

Most of the original LEGO Island soundtracks have been found in high quality! They’re available from the Project Island homepage. Information Center theme is in there!
@@HuskyNET No, no. we need the top one. the 3rd floor where you can change the sky colour and day/night. the one that plays the loud crunchy "DU-DUN DA DA DAAAAAN" when you enter
I like the re-creation of this song. I would note that the mid section in Em-C-D/F#-G-Em-C-G-D could have used a more similar sound for the Synth pads, because I can tell the difference between the re-creation and the original scaled-down 11.025 KHz and 8 Bit audio file
I wouldn't be so scared of visiting the doctor if this was the theme for the medical center! Also, I've always found a fascination with Lego Hospital sets. I currently have the one released back in 2018, and I think it's better than the 2006 version, even if there's no garage or carport.

This is so good! If you ever do a V2, the lead part sounds a bit quiet (compared to the drums) and, do you have any control over the sustain/release? The lead notes sound like they tend to ring out longer in the original piece
