Before making prediction let's wait to see how long (I hope short) will be Sinner suspension and how he will handle it. He's so strong mentally if there's someone that can go through a suspension unfazed it's him, but usually a suspension leaves a mark on players. I take for granted there will be a suspension because if what I've read about previous TAS ruling after WADA appeals, only one 1 out of 10 being ignored, is correct, I don't see Sinner going free.
I predict Alcaraz winning more GS over Sinner by about 2-3 more. But Sinner will win about 8-10 more masters over Alcaraz and have more weeks at world no 1. Alcaraz is the showcase of raw sheer talent, whereas Sinner is about mentality and consistency
@xxprodigygod7627 not a bold prediction at all. Sinner is undoubtedly more consistent and mentally tough. Alcaraz usually sets the precedent at GSs and Sinner emulates it and does it better. For example, Alcaraz beats Nole in a 5 setter at Wimby then Sinner beats Nole at AO in 4 sets. That's why I think Carlos can win more at GS
I do think so. I am not a fan of the two but, apart from their obvious talent, they got something the rest of the contenders on tour don't have: great coaches behind them and no physical problems. Cahill is a legend in his own right and Ferrero means business. Medvdev has been struggling with a shoulder injury for a year now and as much as I like Cervara and Simon, I think Medvedev might need someone beside him to add to his game. Tsitsipas doesn't have a coach at all, that Davis Cup guy never trained anyone, Zverev just keeps his dad employed and Rublev has big mental problems. I don't see anyone coming from behind as well, maybe Fils but I do feel like he has some limitations.

Alcaraz played the match of his life, Sinner played at his average level, and Alcaraz won by just a handful of points. In the long run, I'm doubtful Alcaraz can keep this level more than a few times. I might be wrong.
I think that Alcaraz will evolve into a more leveled player, he will maybe lose some of his heights but also a lot of his lows. But in the long run, if the peak level of both players remains this, I still see Sinner way more frequently at n.1 cause his consistency is crazy. That of course if no other player in the next future will match or surpass them both.
Mensik will soon make it a New Big Three Era. He has a BIG game, is just 19, and is already starting to make waves, having just taken out Rublev and Dimitrov in Shanghai. It will be interesting to see how he does against Djokovic in the quarterfinals.
No, roger rafa and novak are the only big 3 in tennis. That’s because of their capability to earn massive numbers of slams. I am not even sure that sinner nor alcaraz can earn double digits slam..
I suspect that it is too simple to talk about levels. We should be talking about tactics. Since his physic has clicked, Sinner is generally better off playing more passively than he used to. However, his taking time away was a big part of his earlier success against Alcaraz, so he would likely do better against him by adding that back in. Alcaraz can then respond by playing more defensively, which probably won't work on a fast court like in Beijing.
alcaraz peak tennis is unrivaled in tennis history, closest I've seen to better or equal tennis has to be flashes of Marat Safin(not in terms of style but in terms of combined skills as a tennis player) and maybe Federer. The incredible power WITH that kind of touch Alcaraz is displaying is simply next level beyond what the tennis world has previously seen.
Safin?? He would get beaten easily by both Sinner and Carlos (20 years makes a very big difference). And I would say that peak Federer is better on both grass and hardcourt while peak Nadal easily beats peak Carlos on clay.
Clearly, yes. Zverev may be #2, but the jury is still out on if he'll ever win a GS. Medvedev is a lovely player, but may be destined to be this generation's Thomas Berdych. IMO, no one tanked below #5 will win a GS. There are some promising rising stars. Most notably, should keep improving with experience, Ben Shelton. Janik and Carlos are better that anyone else right now. Both physically and, more importantly, mentally.

IMO - Carlos and Jannik are great young players. but a big 2 requires more than just two dominant players. what made Federer Nadal so compelling was the clash of styles as well. and then when Novak came in, he had his own style of play that was also incredibly unique compared to the other two.

I wonder if Medvedev will ever have a chance against them in future
I predict Alcaraz winning more GS over Sinner by about 2-3 more. But Sinner will win about 8-10 more masters over Alcaraz and have more weeks at world no 1. Alcaraz is the showcase of raw sheer talent, whereas Sinner is about mentality and consistency
@@tonyh4807 Winning 10 more Masters is bold Considering Alcaraz Already won 5 ATP1000 while Sinner 3..

I disagree. Alcarez only started winning against Sinner after the doping stress. We will see after it's over and Sinner is cleared
I agre Carlos won everytime It Eas vert stress Jannik
Arthur Fils will join them in a couple of years.
Quite possibly - really hope Fils matures into a credible threat. I am British I would love Draper to win a slam or two - he’s very talented.
Sinner has a higher floor than alcaraz that's why he can win more matches When Both are not at Their best but Carlos Alcaraz has a Higher Ceiling Meaning when Both are at their best Alcaraz is better…
I don’t know about the Sinner ceiling. The serve is the most important shot in tennis, and with his height, Sinner has more potential. So if Sinner reaches his serving prime, then 🤷♂️

About WADA and the appeal... i want jto say to ALL Sinner haters just to inform themselves before posting some Silly comments...: WADA is NOT appealing for doping (it accepted the ITIA verdict..) is appealing for negligence on Sinner responability of his staff PERIOD. Some "fun" fact: it is the very first time WADA appealed to an external tribunal decision a not in Tennis, in all other sports!
I strongly hope TAS will do the right thing.. maybe a reprimenda or some money fine, but if they suspend Jannik even for a small amount of time.. (3 or 6 months) it will be a very dangerous precedent and i'll will not see any tennis match until Sinner will return. Forza Jannik!!!

Afterthe Big 1 era ended last year in Wimbledon, it was inevitable. Djokovic due to age is uncertain, and there really isn't anyone else at the moment. I still think new talent will rise up but that might still be 1 year or more in the making

@@aurei44 nah, tennis journos (as well as the guy who runs this channel) claimed that Alcaraz era started, while he barely made it in 5 sets with help of umpires that even made McEnroe mad to the level of demanding hawkeye live to the very match (which repeated at recent RG, btw), but Nole went to win all 4 events he entered after that (2x Masters, 1 Finals and a Slam), going 21-1 in them, with 10 of those matches against top-10 opponents. It certainly didn't end "after australia", since he made it to the semis with no wrist and having a flu. As I said, there is no particular match or event, since he was struggling with injuries and various issues like one in Rome.

@@mendrikaJno there isn’t, look at sinner and Alcaraz stats. They have 6 slams combined already. Where’s the others?
Alcaraz is more allrounder tennis player tbh
No, roger rafa and novak are the only big 3 in tennis. That’s because of their capability to earn massive numbers of slams. I am not even sure that sinner nor alcaraz can earn double digits slam..
Too early for that. They are still young and we could have more players entering this cenario (like Jakub Mensik, for example).
Im waiting for a new player 3/4years younger than these big2 to come along and ruin everything.
Well we’re about to lose nadal 😭, so we’re getting there 😔
alcaraz peak tennis is unrivaled in tennis history, closest I've seen to better or equal tennis has to be flashes of Marat Safin(not in terms of style but in terms of combined skills as a tennis player) and maybe Federer. Clearly, yes. Zverev may be #2, but the jury is still out on if he'll ever win a GS. Medvedev is a lovely player, but may be destined to be this generation's Thomas Berdych. At least he has one Open on his resume. I think Novak could win another Slam, but things would have to break right for him. If he gets to 25, buh-bye. His finish line is in sight. IMO, no one tanked below #5 will win a GS. There are some promising rising stars. Most notably, should keep improving with experience, Ben Shelton. Janik and Carlos are better that anyone else right now. Both physically and, more importantly, mentally.
Shelton is mediocre. He has a low tennis IQ and is mediocre at net. Yes he can blast the ball and serve big, but he's not a well rounded player and doesn't seem to have developed much in the past year or so

IMO - Carlos and Jannik are great young players.
but a big 2 requires more than just two dominant players. what made Federer Nadal so compelling was the clash of styles as well. and then when Novak came in, he had his own style of play that was also incredibly unique compared to the other two.
IMO Carlos and Jannik's matches, while incredibly hyped up, have not really reached the levels that those other rivalries would. and it might get there? but its also just the entertainment level, which I argue is lower
