That was an amazing little build, looking forward to you revisiting that concept later. I was a little disappointed at first, last week, spent twenty minutes scouring for a missed overnighter, but am thankful for the vid you put together considering the circumstances. It makes me wish that I either had been given more time with my father or that I had children, so do keep doing more things with medium sized dude, and pardon me for living vicariously thru the two of you.

Question Corporal, would heating those long pieces of wood maybe make them more flexible, then if they are shaped, when they cool are more apt to maintain that shape? Have seen that used in boat building, just wondered if it was any sort of option.

Not sure if you read comments on older videos but I very sincerely want to thank you for not politicizing your channel in light of recent events and keeping Corporals Corner...well Corporals Corner. When I watch your videos not only do I learn but your videos are wholesome and as dumb as it may sound (to me) they're a form of stress relief. A 'comfort activity' if you will. Only a few YT channels reach that status with me and yours is one of them. Sorry for the mushy gushy but OUTSTANDING work Cpl.

Great video again! You should start looking for pawpaw fruit since there are so many trees in your forest, it should be getting close. If you haven't had it before, wait until the fruit looks like an over ripe and bruised banana, peel it, and enjoy! The big seeds are kind of bitter, but the fruit around them is good. It's kind of an acquired taste, but I've acquired it...lol. Love the shelter too!

Hey Corporal! Outstanding AF bushcraft shelters. How about a bushcraft Teepee?! Maybe I missed it, but if not that would be a great build.

Oh and I love the fact you and your son are able to bond like you do. It's refreshing to see a young man learning and still being himself and enjoying time with you.

I'm 20 seconds into the video and all I can think to say is, "I can get behind this design." Looks cool.
You should have a couple of his friends and their dads and do a camp out.

Looks like a inspired sweat lodge. Love to see one built full scale. Not to big of course but maybe enough space for you and your son to stand up right in it. I thank you corporal for your hard work in all your videos. It's deeply appreciated.

Knowing that humankind survived for thousands of years with nothing more than sharp rocks and sticks, and occasional natural shelter, I really like these bushcraft videos that help me learn ways to survive without modern conveniences if I have to. I always watch your videos all the way through, and stick around for the outro comments! Please, keep 'em coming!

What a great surprise seeing your son! Very happy for you. As a father of three sons and a daughter, it’s the best job I’ve had. I wish I had your skills, but I’m learning. You replied in the compass video for me to tell UA-cam that’s yours are the best compass and navigation videos. Is there someone I need to contact specifically or just share the video (which I do to Facebook)? Thanks.
