I would love to be able to afford some of your equipment, but I am currently trying to take care of 2 families after losing a brother. But I love watching your videos. Keep on making them. S.F. to a Good Marine.
As you no doubt already know Texas froze over this last week or so. I however was not discouraged. I was able to provide clean drinking water and hot meals for my family. All of it I owe to you. I'm eternally grateful for your videos and look forward to the knowledge you will pass on to us all. From one Cpl to another, thank you. Semper Fi.
Wow! Can you go into detail at all what you exactly prepared and how it helped? I'm getting prepared for stuff myself (just got some water storage gear for example). I have wood and can cook with it, but I'd be delighted to learn how you dealt with that horrid situation in texas.
@@SalP123c luckily for me I bought wood the day before. Luckily we didn't get hit with both issues the same day. When the waterline cruise up we collected snow to boil then filtered it through my shemaghs to get drinking water. Then when our power went out our water was back. I managed to build a fire outside and cooked us food. I took some extra time to split some of the wood for the future and used this vase and candle trick from one of the older videos to keep us warm. All in all we were pretty well off. Luckily it didn't go on for too long but I have the utmost confidence that I could keep my family relativity comfortable until everything finally got back to normal.

Thank you Corporal Kelly!! You have taught an old lady, an amazing amount of survival living. Being a 50’s baby, and having severe fibromyalgia, I know if things get really strange, worse than what they are now, I will be able to survive. At least for a little time. Thank you! I Love Learning. Every, day I Learn something new, is a Great Day!!!

I was legitimately surprised by the axe tip to turn the axe upside down and use the hammer’s shock to cut the wood. That’s a pretty cool bit of information that ought to be useful.
That trick is good, also for tough wood. Make sure, however, that the Axe is stuck firmly in the wood. Otherwise, the wood could fall on Your head when you swing back. This happened to me 25 years ago. Since than i've got it..... ;-)
We had the exact same conditions here in Alabama. It iced and then we had six inches of snow fall. That was soon followed by a bit more freezing rain. It's been horribly nasty outside. Thank you for your videos and all of your effort...even in these gnarly conditions. I appreciate you!
I got one of these and a Kni-co stove for Christmas. Looking forward to using this for hunting next fall with my 7yr old! Totally agree on hatchet and axe safety...the more people talk about it, the fewer trips to the ER.
After everything that happened in Texas this winter, I have seriously thought about buying one of these tent stoves for emergencies. Set it up in a large room on tiles, run the pipe out a window, block the area around the pipe with metal flashing or even a couple of baking sheets cut to fit. You'd be able to keep a large room warm and save a few lives.
Tying knots in frigid cold is hard.... glad you were able to make the knots and lashings, when you get older with arthritis it will be really hard! You are eating well, bacon, of course, glad you got out and about! Thanks for posting this video!
Not gonna lie, jealous AF. I also would love to see a snow shelter in one of your potentially upcoming videos if the weather will cooperate. Although, technically I think your solo overnighters addressing the unexpected is also just as worthwhile.
This will work in Alaska very well.thank you for keeping it simple. You are awesome person. I can hardly wait till next Sunday to see what you come up with. Have a great week
Just saying, PLEASE CONTINUE TO BUILD YOUR SHELTERS!!! I learn a LOT from you and can't wait to try it out. P.S. I LOVE ALL your ideas! You NEVER know when you really will need a shelter if you like to get out.
I agree. I would rather seem him building shelters, building fires under different and difficult constraints, fishing (catching bigger fish someday, I hope), reviewing different gear (including backpacts, boats, kayaks and canoes), showing us navigational skills using a real topological or other map for where he is, and anything else (such as archery), rather than sharing on UA-cam the killing of deer or other land animals, although I know that is part of survival training. I'm sure I will be able to learn how to set traps for certain types of animals, but I can't imagine me using a trap or other means to actually kill a deer, moose, rabbit, chipmunk, or squirrel where I live presently (I have no qualms about killing and eating snakes, armadillos, alligators (by others; I won't even get close to them), or other reptiles, though). It would be different if I actually lived off the grid, such as in a wild part of Alaska or Canada. And I can pluck feathers from a dead chicken or wild turkey and cook game after it has been cleaned. It's one thing to know HOW to kill and butcher or clean an animal if necessary to survive, and another thing to really do it before the time comes when it is actually a survival necessity; that, I cannot do.
Some slick ass gear. It's amazing how wonderful it is to hear Marine Corps words. I find myself watching a lot of guys who served on UA-cam just because they communicate clearly and with no bullshit. They're not trying to impress me, and even when they hawk gear it's basically, "I use this one because it's a good one. If you need one too, you should consider this one." For someone like me with an extra-sensitive bullshit detector, guys like Corporal Kelly and Alan Thrall are lifesavers.

If shtf people can grab their go bags and follow the knowledge you provide and have a better chance at survival and they will be good to go. Cpl corner leads the way. Outstanding video once again. Coming from a veteran from Illinois, love all your videos my friend.
Let's take a moment and give the corporal some respect for showing how to properly allow the axe to do the work for you, unlike far too many don't. I watch other people's videos and I legit fear for their legs the way they use an axe. This man is the real deal. Thanks for all you do for our enjoyment.
I like your Videos. In Germany is it not so easy to build such nice Bushcraft peojects, without own wood ground. It is great that you work with minimal gear. Stay healthy

Kelly, it’s good to see a fellow jarhead showing the in and outs of survival living out in the field. I found your video by accident but I’m glad I did. Your knowledge of the knots are really outstanding, I would be grateful when you go through that process you would verbally go through the process as well so that knowledge could be passed on as well. Please don’t give up on this for the sake of your viewers cause this knowledge is so appropriate right now. Peace and love my fellow brother be with you as well as your loved ones. Semper Fi !!!!!!
I've been a huge fan of the hot tent in theory, have never owned one or tried one. I live in the northeast, and a combo like this tent and folding stove would be an excellent option. It looks like you can keep yourself warm for 8 hours of sleep, with a relatively small harvest of wood and sticks set inside the tent. If it's good enough for you, it's good enough for me.
So I had to get UA-cam premium so I could watch your show. I’ve been partly living off grid/and partly in the city out of my van since May. You have been very entertaining and informative. I appreciate the hard work. You’re really helping people live their best lives!
Love winter camping When I was in the Army we built igloos and I loved it. I built a igloo last winter and me and my daughter slept in it all weekend!! It was freaking awesome
Having seen you cooking over embers, I look forward to trying that out, and I agree that steaks should be cooked over a wood fire. I bet the smell of the bacon and steak cooking was exquisite! Something I like to cook with are smoked garlic granules, they're delicious and really enhance the taste of food.
Hi,.👋 I enjoy your style and learn so much from watching your channel. I'm an old veteran with disabilities. Camping low to the ground was ok in my youth but lol, it's a real challenge to get up these days. Question: what's a good cheap & tall pop up tent that doesn't weigh a lot ?

🙂Hey I appreciate all the work that this man put into his videos. They're really great.
Sundays with Corporals Corner. Priceless
I have waiting on this vid all week since I seen the Instagram vid!! Outstanding as always!!
love the way you explain things
Winter camping/hot tenting is always a win in my book.
I totally concur with you on that assessment of the facts!
Fantastic! Been looking forward to your post and was wondering where it was. Have a great day coming.
That steak looks fantastic
Looking at the steak, bacon and eggs made my mouth water. Not gonna lie. That dinner is spot on. Love why you do and love the videos.
I got it! New quote: If it ain't snowin', I ain't goin'!
Punch out protein style!
Looking forward to more winter camping. You do it right!
One of the most talented and hard working professionals on youtube. God bless you chief!
Love winter camping
When I was in the Army we built igloos and I loved it.
Hi,.👋
I enjoy your style and learn so much from watching your channel.
I'm an old veteran with disabilities.
Camping low to the ground was ok in my youth but lol, it's a real challenge to get up these days.
Question: what's a good cheap & tall pop up tent that doesn't weigh a lot ?
This came on right after a Coalcracker video. Then YT followed it up with another one of your videos. Great video man and thanks for making them and sharing them with us!
Brother, I was skeptical of your channel at first but after following you on a couple adventures I found myself watching like 6 videos! Of course I’m subscribed now and look forward to seeing your next excursion. Thanks for your service!! And, thanks for the motivation.
You might wanna develop a game you can play on your watch where you come out of Corporals Corner fighting against swarms of the Zombie Apocalypse... for early night, quiet downtime moments like these. Just saying.
They got professional drives, stay home ,rain/ snow. Corp did their job !
Hands down the best bushcraft chanel ever
Sir Respectfully, when I was 16 yearss old my bestest friend, he taught me something important... Here's what my Marine Sgt for NJROTC taught me.
When you feel depressed by other's, like your floating with yourself up to water noise high.... Give yourself the power to not give those who get you down the power to do that, considering the sources & adapting to a positive outlook, it's harder" sometimes, but we don't give up, we get some, & keep marching forward, I know I've been picked on / Called Jr Marine, but that's okay, I take the title to heart & it feels good, NJROTC Hoorah" & Semper Fi Sir~
P.s.s~
If it wasn't for you, alot of the time I'd have been in trouble, I learned alot from you that I wouldn't have learned if it wasn't for your Sir.... outstanding / awesome channel, & yes sir, your a good role model & outstanding survivalist & Bushcraft man, I never had any real influences to teach me anything, so I had to adapt, improvise & overcome alot, & also, Thank you for all of your videos Sir, thank you sincerely for everything Sir...
Respectfully / Sincerely.
Signed:
Paul~
Well put and said.
Yut!
Respectfully Sir@@michaelreyes1337 I need to ask a Question, I'm not familiar with Yut other than something I learned in NJROTC"! does this mean Excitement like in the NJROTC USMC I underwent ??? I apologise this sent early without abilities to correct, the deck is clear & my motto is Aye as the the land, air & sea can see"! Semper Fi Big bro~
Sir, Respectfully@@PCraig Thank you sincerely Sir.
@@paul-wade-hampton6766 yes! It can be used as excitment in agreement for example: "listen up Marines...no PT this morning! Get some chow and come back for formation so we can get our libo brief."
Marines would most likely respond with a Loud YUT!
Don’t get me wrong I love these videos, but I miss knowing that I had the know how and advantages over other people when shtf now everyone has ideas on survival 😂
Everyone who's seen an episode of survivorman thinks they do
The more educated people, the fewer trying to to Your stuff.
Awesome video. The sled and shemag was a great idea. The steak and eggs definitely was a great touch. Other than tent use, would the stove work in some of your shelter builds?
I love the sound of a camp fire.
I know it's been a couple of months but that was a neat tent. The stove made it happen in those Temps. Good job.
We need the Corporals corner
