Might be worth your while or not to invest in. But Ozark trails ( yes I know it's cheap made ), makes a small thin hatchet. It should only take 1 whack with little energy to take off limbs instead of sawing through them with slightly more energy. It wouldn't be worth it for one pole. But 4 or 5 like you did it is well worth it. So light weight you wouldn't notice it and sharp as a good butchers knife fresh off a steel. Once you seal it off and add your stove, might need to make a clay door to the front of the stove. It'll stay warmer longer and you won't use as much wood with a good ember base. Peak in the center dip on the ends. That way you don't have it dripping in front of the door but running off near the sides so you don't end up fitting where your main brace poles are.
Hey Corporal, this build is giving some serious ideas for a project on my property! I have more bamboo available than hard woods, but I've seen some awesome bamboo builds before! I'm a huge fan and anxiously waiting on part 2!! Like I said before....BUILD IT AND THEY WILL COME! ✌🤙
They don't want channels like this to be at the top. Because informative stuff like this gives people help in disaster situations. They literally don't want everyone self-reliant.
I agree. It’s easy to control & dominate those without skill sets no matter the circumstances. As long as you can learn you can survive - you stop learning you loose.
I REALLY LIKE Corporal Kelly's Site. I have my Granddaughter watching it with me and she love learning new things all the time. She wants to build the two person one for us on my property up north. THANK YOU SO MUCH AND GOD BLESS YOU,, MR SHAWN KELLY
I am surprised. When I watched this installment, there had been 32,000 views of this video, and only 5000 likes. CPL AF is doing a good job here, in my opinion, and less than 20% of us are hitting the like button. Let’s shoe Kelly some more support guys.
Nothing more spooky AF in those woods than a Marine. I’ve heard the big cat screams, I’ve heard bears fighting, and I’ve heard tree-knocks, way back deep in the bush. But nothing is as scary as knowing there are people close by that you cannot hear. Semper Fi
Don't know if watching all your old videos helps out or Knott but I'm going to keep watching them. Thanks for all the great videos and the work you put in to them.
I know you have a ton of irons in the fire, but I really think a Cooking with Corporal book would be a hit. You come up with some of the best looking camp food I've ever seen. Beats my mountain house every time.
I really do enjoy watching your videos. Seeing how to build for survival should it ever be needed. It is amasing to see how functional and comfortable they can become.
When can we expect 'Corporals Corner Cafe' ? Specializing in Deluxe burgers and coffee so strong, that it'll float a hotshot!! Love your channel and down to earth attitude! Thanks!
YT bumped your video down to the 10th after this one. The next three recommended are ones I've already watched. But I'll keep up my end to keep you in my feed. Thanks for all you do. Semper Fi.
Going out on our 33 acres on fathers day weekend and building one of Corporals shelters for a weekend camping trip with my sons. Thanks Corporal, you've opened up an endless list of memory making shelters for a dad and his boys.
Doing great! Learning a lot. That rain made the floor of the shack unusable. Consider some kind of wood floor to raise it up so things stay dry and clean. Cant wait to see your ideas and progress this series.
Damn nice shelter. My kind of place. Glad you decided to go with it. Can’t wait to see how it develops. Finally, thank you for your service to our country.
Hello Shawn! Your shelter videos are timeless; in other words, any time UA-cam still presents them, I can re-watch or see your shelter builds for the first time. Thank you very much for expanding my knowledge.
Brother your already #1 in my book. Please keep up everything that you are doing. Thanks for all of the great content and I hope you know that we appreciate all the work you do for us. Its greatly appreciated my friend.
It's really cool how your eyes are open now to actual bushcrafting, these are actually lost ways that we sorely need to remember and utilize. Because something tells me all this will come into play one day. My family was very poor so all this bushcrafting being done now is a welcome sight to what I grew up with and known since I was a child. I really love your videos and the fact that you teach others. If I wasn't half crippled I would be doing the same thing. It just makes sense to be in the woods, some people call it homelessness....being in the woods 24/7...... I call it living... good job AF!!!
Excellent outdoor shelter for two people, hopefully your son can join you for a overnight. Great bacon, egg sandwich. I enjoy your outdoor survival skills, and ways of showing proper knot uses. Love your channel, be safe, stay healthy, God Bless Everyone.
Outstanding! I’m loving this whole series approach. Bummer it rained on ya but that actually turned into a good trial. Idea: once this camp is finished make a PDF how-to document with instructions, diagrams, tools and materials needed, etc and make that available for us. Then have a contest to see who builds the best one! You are the judge. Cool AF.
Sorry about the hit to your channel.if your post didn't show up, I'd search for it. The tent looks fast and comfortable. I really liked the bottom of the tent. You almost convinced me to buy some spam for breakfast! Damn your good. Lol I loved your EMERGENCY FIRE STARTER. What fantastic, simple ideas for getting the fire going. Take care, God bless Nora
Enjoying your therapeutic dose of rain -- the smells of the doused firewood, and the raindrops on the tree leaves must, indeed, create a therapeutic experience of aroma. That possum looked like a happy camper, also.
I really enjoy your shows. They help me relax as I can’t get out outside like I used. I like the way you teach. You explain clearly the objectives, demonstrate, mentioning alternatives. As for people not watching all of the way through the videos - they are showing their ignorance & I would hate to have to rely on them for anything be it survival skills, walking & chewing gum or anything of quality.
im very grateful for having found your channel. ive always had an interest in the outdoors and you showed me how to do it with the right gear, do things more efficiently, outright teach me new things and have made camping an overall easier and much more comfortable experience for me and my friends. prior to having found your channel i had camped twice with some walmart bought tent and sleeping bag, a shit ton of water bottles and canned food, an extra pair of clothes and i used 2 school bags to carry it all. the hikes were horrendous but i still had fun. now im coolin it in a hammock set up like yours and know how to manage / collect water in the field and freeze dried food made such a weight difference my back wrote me thank you letter. thank you corporal sir and keep sendin em!
Glad my power came back on in time to watch this video today. Whole city was freaking out about how to live with no electricity. Not me. Keep up the excellent work.
I have to hand it to you Corporal...you put the effort in and the effort is well worth it. I sure appreciate your vision, your dedication and your consistency. Thank you for keeping it going.
I’m sticking! Love this build and thanks to you I learn something every time I watch a video. Can’t wait to see this shelter done and I guess the next meal is going to be , bacon rapped possum on a stick ! Through away the possum and eat the bacon and stick !! 😆

This series is outstanding and the Corporal is JACKED AF
JACKED AF!!
Best day of the week!
it really is!
Any day outside is better than any day in. Unless you don't know how to keep warm in the cold.
Going back and rewatching shows. That protein sandwich looked delish. Like the hatchet, very sharp.

I'm hooked on this series like people were hooked on luke and Laura years ago. 😍
😂
Man! I remember that soap. I am not a soap guy but even I liked the Luke and Laura episodes.
OMG bet that reference just went over 80% of the people's head! 😂

Who are Luke and Laura?
Excellent outdoor shelter for two people, hopefully your son can join you for a overnight. Great bacon, egg sandwich. I enjoy your outdoor survival skills, and ways of showing proper knot uses. Love your channel, be safe, stay healthy, God Bless Everyone.

God worked hard Monday thru Saturday so on the 7th day he gave us the Corporal!!!!
We're a Christian NPO, and this show happens to be the highlight of our Sunday as well. :D
Enjoying your therapeutic dose of rain -- the smells of the doused firewood, and the raindrops on the tree leaves must, indeed, create a therapeutic experience of aroma. That possum looked like a happy camper, also.

Damn, what a great series! I’m looking forward to the rest.
What a beautiful place to go camping!! I love watching the possum!! And listening to the rain and the birds
Have you considered going on the show “Alone”? Would be great to see you apply your skills and get a massive boost of recognition as well Cpl.
That's a really nice looking shelter! Wow I like it. I would have slept so well listening to the rain. You have a real talent for making shelters.
I have to hand it to you Corporal...you put the effort in and the effort is well worth it. I sure appreciate your vision, your dedication and your consistency. Thank you for keeping it going.

Hi Corporal
First I would like to thank you for your service to our country
Secondly, unfortunately I hate to admit it I came here for the Bacon Ham Egg sandwich. God that look good. I love food out in the outdoors. Thanks for sharing the video and the shelter building as well
I enjoy watching your videos
Wow! Impressed with this! I've made a lot of shelters so now I'm going to have to make one like this. Superb! Thank you sir!!!
Wish i could find straight trees like those in the woods near me...everything's all gnarled and bent
Love this one. Like when you build off of an idea you already started and show where it can go!
The Samich looked amazing too.
Really dig the videos. Keep it up! Oorah Devil Dog!!
Very good shelter, off the ground and with overhead protection. And tasty breakfast sandwich!
eggs: That's a good trick, it's like an over-easy, but without the broken yolks... :)
Always hitting us with the artery damaging hand dinners🤠🤙OUTSTANDING!
What a build! Thanks for bringing us the best of content brother! Much love! ✌ 💘 😊
Ayo watching this before I go to bed really does help lol
Please keep these building videos coming. You inspire me to get back out in the woods. Thank you.
Thumbs up if you would have eaten that sandwich. Thanks for the video Corporal.
Still getting your videos and watching them, again, and again.
"Outstanding" is the most sarcastic compliment you'll ever get in the military lol
One of the coolest camping youtubers 😎😎😎😎😎♥️♥️♥️♥️
Lol I like how you say your cooking will kill you. I am currently recovering from a triple bypass. That sandwich made my mouth water and my chest hurt. Earlier this summer while camping with friends I made one of your bacon bombs everyone loved them. A good friend of mine calls you the bacon guy.

“Spooky af”? Wwwhhhaaaaa?
That’s intriguing.
He needs a LOT of wood, and he'll take it all too... know why? Because the Corporal never disappoints. 🤔🤣 Outstanding!
I missed this 1...Detroit in the building!!!
Thank you thank you, Outstanding!!!! I am totally digging the mini series. The one thing missing from your two man shack is gear storage, something off the ground and room foe two sets of gear.
Give it time. I bet an Andrew Jackson he’s got it coming.
If you are planning on using that often you may want to expand it a bit so it's like an off the grid getaway for you and your son. Just a thought
These more long term camp builds are ace!
Not gonna lie, that greasy ass sandwich looked good as hell.
Very cool video...cannot wait to see that fireplace build
wood warms you 3 times 1st when you cut it 2nd when you carry it 3rd when you burn it
Very nice build. Love the looks and building style. Can’t wait for the follow up improvements. Thank you for doing it.
