Using a router table backwards...

I Needed a dado in the middle of a panel so I had to come up with something to make due because I didn’t have a hand held router or a dado blade at the time of this video. This would definitely be easier if I had that router table set up to be used in the normal way but due to my limited space, I need that side of the table saw for a bandsaw and a planer. Let me know your thoughts down in the comments! Is this safe to do? I felt safe thanks to the Jessem stock guides. Thanks for watching! God bless!

With your setup, that looks pretty kewl. Way to improvise! I have the same guides, but standalone router table. I'd have to come up with something different. I would try it. I've tried sketchier stuff.

Thanks! I have a stand alone router table also but was unable to get to the middle of that panel with it. I have tried a few sketchy things a couple lead to injuries unfortunately. Once I skipped a clamp and drill bit stop when testing joinery method for a table build with jessem doweling jig. That ripped my finger to pieces!
