I went through similar in 1990 involving cruise liners and heart broken break up with my 1st love. I'm 51yrs now and haven't had any good or solid relationships ever since. Hence I find myself single. I hope I can meet a nice companion one day. I guess its all fate and I'm happy for you Caroline and you have a wonderful son x
Awwww so lovely to hear this story, poor Ashley, the women in his life have led him a bit of a merry dance, but he stayed put and won his queen x lovely x

Thanks for sharing! “How did you meet?” is one of my favorite questions. Sometimes so random, if not for this etc and sometimes a story of twists and turns like yours and sometimes a bit of he/she was always there. Life (and love) is a mystery.
Really enjoyed your story Caroline, thank you for sharing! It reminded me of when I met my now husband. We are both from Carlisle but my husband worked in Newcastle then Nottingham when we met so we had a long distance relationship for 4 years. I still have lots of letters and cards that we sent to each other all the time! He came home on weekends, it was hard but we got through it. After we married I moved down to Nottingham where we both lived and worked for 4 years. Before we started a family we were both lucky enough to find work back home in Carlisle! Our son is 9 next month and our daughter is 5. So pleased to be home and close to family. Now I'm a full time Mum and enjoying dabbling in reselling to earn a bit of extra money😊 xxx

A great idea to make a video with your future generations in mind and us lot on UA-cam. I thought a while ago after discovering diaries written by ancestors in the 18th century, that I wished that I had been a 'diary' person and kept a record of my life events and other trivia etc.

Loved this story, just to clarify, had John been cheating on you or were you officially split when he got together with Ashley's girlfriend?
No, we were officially split (although it was literally a couple of weeks afterwards). Tracey was definitely cheating on Ashley though.
