Thank you! I'm 73 and have problems finding affordable make up but will be trying some of what you used. I really enjoy your videos, thanks again Caroline ❤
I just recently discovered your videos , I binged watched for the past week (I’ve been sick) … I just love your try on hauls and all the handy tips you point out regarding body shape. I also love your holiday videos, especially your brother’s outfit of the evening on the QM2 😂 and now this make up style ❤ … I would just like to say , you’re very natural on camera, very classy and I find your honesty refreshing for a change .. Loving your company while I’ve been stuck at home, thank you 😊 I’m from Australia
I want to thank you for this very informative as well as relatable video. I am 73 and only started using some makeup fairly recently. It makes such a difference, both in how I look, but more importantly, how I feel.
Thanks for your intro stating that it was not a tutorial. I am so fed up of some, well many channels doing "tutorials" when they are not qualified. Whether it be makeup or flower arranging. My blood boils. So thanks Caroline, lovely makeup demo and at the end of the day if you prefer something go for it. You tell it the way it is which is refreshing to say the least. Your monthly favourite vlogs show that you do use products. Long may you continue - God this sounds like a ship launch! Have a good week and best wishes.
Your eye look is beautiful. That final step with the black eyeshadow does make a big difference. I do the same thing with a very soft pencil. Your foundation, bronzer, etc, also looks great. I think I definitely need to spend more time doing that.
You have such a lovely face and beautiful skin. I love how you do your eyeshadow and always look forward to seeing it on your videos. Fellow palette lover here 😊
@@CarolineMrsM love your make up videos. Your just one of the girls with all the bumps and lumps that come with being in our 50s - but you don’t shy away from that - you embrace it with ‘what’s the alternative’ kind of attitude and I love it. I think my husband thinks I’m having an affair with you cause every time I say “Right, I’m going to bed early he says “oh, Caroline has posted another video then” 😂😂
I’m 63 and I absolutely love makeup. I use neutrals as well as colorful eyes. There’s a trivet unfollow that says “ it’s makeup and at the end of the day it washes off” it makes me happy to play with makeup
Great video thank you Caroline. When I was little, I noticed ladies blotting their lipstick, then applying a second coat, so that's what I've always done. I'm trying to get my eyeshadow right, but it's tricky with small eyes. Love your hair colour, btw. Have a good week. x
Pretty look Caroline 😀 I absolutely love the look of that palette and the W7 bronzer looks lovely too, watching you do this is making want them😃really enjoyed this, always enjoy your grwm's and seeing what makeup you're using~lovely video, tfs xxx 💕
Nice job Caroline. I enjoy that 15 minutes each morning doing my makeup at my dressing table . Don’t retouch through the day other than maybe some gloss or lipstick but I take the time to apply it nicely first thing.
Stumbled upon your channel and WOW!!! You sure have changed my mind about shimmer eyeshadow! Thanks for the tips, especially loved the tip with the black eyeshadow! Thank you!
You have beautiful skin, Caroline, it is not terrifying close up LOL. I enjoyed your makeup notes, as I haven't used much in years but I am thinking of getting back into it. You just glow!!
For a non makeup artist, you do an excellent job! I have to put in contact lenses in order to do my makeup, as putting on a taking off glasses is such a pain. I use as many products as you, although I always curl my lashes, and always do a lip line (right after I've done my foundation/powder) as otherwise my lips disappear. I don't use an eye primer, but always go over the entire lid with a neutral shade before I start with the crease. The only other thing I do, is when I'm finished, I take my blush brush use whatever is left on the brush and add it to my brow bone and join up with the cheek - ties it all together, and then use a finishing spray to soften all the powder. Cheap as chips Elf Setting Spray - no alcohol - which is brilliant for me.
Lovely tutorial- just ordered the palette and, yes, it is still on offer for £9 plus postage- just beautiful subtle colours! Thank you for the recommendation! X
Your make-up always looks polished Caroline. Found this tutorial so helpful and now want to start experimenting a bit and get out of the old ‘make-up rut’ think we often fall into when getting older! Love the lip colour 💄
Love this make-up look. I wear make-up all the time, and like you, I love to experiment (even at my age). I will definitely look up this pallet. Love the colours in it. Thank you. You have given me tips I haven't used myself but will give it a go. X
Great makeup video, thank you for sharing. I love the nutruel tones. First time I've seen blk powder shadow used at lashes. Much more subtle than eyeliner.
Thanks so much for this, Caroline. I love how your make up looks so I’ve ordered quite a lot of the things you used just this morning! Thanks too for answering my question about your blue glasses, I’m off to order those too 😘
Absolutely loved this. Am going to get that inner eye maybaline eraser. It fairly brings out your eyes. Some crackin tips Caroline loved the colours you chose for your eyes. Really pretty and very natural. And omg your eyebrows are to die for totally stunning. Thanks for sharing this brilliant video with us all take care xo 😘 😘 🤗 🤗
Lovely video Caroline. I love make up too. An instant lift to the spirits. Will be trying your tip for eye definition - I have short, sparse lashes and need all the help I can. X
I also have just recently discovered your videos and you are an absolute tonic. I've watched lots and lots of your videos and thoroughly enjoyed them. Keep up the good work Caroline (I'm from Ireland)
Hi, just recently discovered your channel. Love it! So glad I found your makeup video, because I love your make up look. Will also try shimmery shadow look. Your makeup looks way better than some of those makeup artists, plus you have beautiful skin. Love your fashion style too. Thanks for sharing 😃. Hugs from Canada.
Thank you! Your make-up looks great!! I need to invest in a setting powder for underneath my eyes and an eyelid primer for eye shadow. Have a great day!
Thank you for that Caroline. I love the way you've applied it. I am looking forward to trying some of these techniques. Can't promise mine will turn out as good, but I'm excited to try it x
Hey Caroline! I do all of the steps you demonstrated nearly the same. I have used the Maybelline Eraser concealer for many years, good product! I put a little Cerave face moisturizer on my face before I put my face primer on. I have been using face moisturizer since I was around 20. I think it has helped alot, I am turning 58 this month. I used Olay Oil Free for many years until the price of Olay products went up so much. You look so pretty Caroline!! Thanks for ALL of your vids!
Thank you for sharing your makeup routine ,I found it very helpful.I have quite deep set eyes and dark circles under my eyes so I think I'm going to get a primer .I always pat my lips with tissue ,Mum used to say it stopped it coming off on cups .I hope you have a great week .x.
Caroline, an excellent vlog, I think you are clever & your make up looking fantastic... Myself I don't wear eyeshadow as my eyes are watering with this heat & hayfever. But exciting to see what colours are available so pretty....
Hi Caroline. I am fairly new to your channel and have been binge watching your past video's and recent ones and have so enjoyed them. I love your fashion style and think you always look stunning. I had just been wondering how you make your makeup look so pretty and was delighted with this video as you can imagine. I will be trying a bit of shimmer on my eyes and invest in that pretty pallette. Thank you so much. X
Very nice tutorial !It's always good to see what other women do.I have been using Max Factor Lipfinity for a couple of years now and for me it was a gamechanger as it stays on all day!!! I like the clothes haul too!
This was a great video Caroline iv got loads of tips from you I was actually putting on my own makeup at the same time I followed everything you did only thing I didn't put the brush under my eye lashes I use a primer before I use the mascara I have never used a bronzer but it's on my list for the weekend all in all I loved everything you did and of course you looked fantastic afterwards thank you Caroline for sharing this video xx
Enjoyed that! I never spend time on my eyes but wd like to learn how to do a tight line. Lipstick blotting - the tissue yes - but then I reapply the lipstick. It gives a base which stays put.
I’ve started wearing eyeshadow again after watching your videos and am enjoying it again, sometimes it’s better watching a non expert to see makeup on a “real face”
Thanks for the tips n tricks Caroline…… your make up always look lovely ! I love make up too but not always great at eye shadow 🤪. Hope you’re having a good week 😗 xx
Absolutely gorgeous Caroline. I’ve really struggled with concealer under my eyes lately with my ageing skin so I’ll try the maybelline one again I think the last one I tried was a little too light for my skin. Thank you I’ll love all your videos especially the GRWM ones xx
Hi Caroline many thanks for this video I found it very informative & appropriate for myself. I have been struggling a lot with the format of the eye shadows - my question is how do you know what colors are relevant for different sides i.e. crease/lower lid/eye corner/etc???? I have purchased numerous eye shadow pallets, but are just not getting that finished /polished end result. (as a lady of a certain age I def need a little coverage ) by the way I love the combination you have chosen.
Hi Lorraine, for the crease I usually use a shade a couple of times darker than my skin tone, sort of a mid range shade, then for the eyelid I like something pale that brightens it up, particularly as we get older and have more hooded eyes. Then a darker shade in the outer corner, blended and well to shape the eyes nicely.
Make-up artist or not, your make-up always looks lovely Caroline. Since giving up work a year ago (my elderly parents need to come first now), I don't wear my make-up as often but I do love to wear it and, like you, really enjoy having a bit of "me time" at my dressing table. They're not cheap but they are so easy to apply, stay put all day and don't settle into the creases. I've noticed, too, that I need to pay much more attention to my overall skincare routine or no matter how much care I take applying my make-up, it always looks awful.
I agree on the skincare routine, Iris. If I Slack off on my skin care routine for a few days, it really shows in the condition of my skin and the way make up goes onto it.
Hi Caroline. Really like this in-depth view of how you do your make up especially your eyes. I have blocked tear ducts so have a watery eye problem unfortunately. My eyes have become more hooded too but i always like how your eye make up looks. I don’t wear make up every day but definitely going to try a few of your ideas. The first item you used in the corner of your eyes , what sort of shade do you use? Thank you. X
Love that palette, sadly I’m allergic to Revolution, very annoying!! Really love the natural balance of the make up too, will be looking at those brushes, thank you xx
Thank you so much for this vlog. It's inspired me to think about my general appearance some more. My eyes are hooded and my makeup expert at the shop counter showed me a trick or two; Smitha Teepak I think the name is has a vlog with outstanding guidance on makeup.
Your make up always looks good 😊 I bought the Maybeline cover stick on your recommendation and I love it. I used to work in a huge Dept store on the make up counter, WAY back in the 70s, and then there were just a few well-known brands. 50 yrs on, I still wear make up 😅 and yes, softer colours are better!! There are SO many brands now its mindboggling, too much choice. You look fab. 😊😊😊
Hi Caroline. This was both useful and enjoyable! 😊 My mom used to blot her lipstick too; she only wore lipstick and powder but she kept a little pot of red rouge in her makeup drawer. Also, I would love to see you review SHEIN's line of makeup because I know you would be honest. Take care and stay safe 💙🌿
Interesting you should mention Shein's make-up, because I've wondered about trying it several times for a video, and I've even been on the website and looked to buy some bits and bobs. Do you know, I just couldn't get inspired by anything I saw. No idea why. I will revisit it though, because as you say, it would make a good video.
Oh Caroline! How I love your videos! Your honesty, charm, and self confidence are such a joy and inspiration.
Thank you so much for your kind words, really appreciate them.

I’d kind of given up on eyeshadow but after watching you today I am inspired to give it another go! Thank you 😊.
No one would ever know that you haven't had training in cosmetics! Lovely!
I’ve never seen that black eyeshadow trick so thanks for sharing and I was told nose and ears keep growing infinitesimally
Absolutely loved this tutorial. Im nearly 70 and love make up and colourful eye shadows. All these great colours now I'm older. Thank you

Thanks so much I find as you get older you need more color and so I appreciate your input
Love this. I’m going to follow your lead. Thank you.
Looking fabulous, thanks for the video x
Great vlog. I was looking for a new mascara.
I'm also finding cream bronzer and blusher better for my complexion nowadays. I've been wearing cream based shadow too lately, courtesy of a Trinny London gift voucher from my daughter.
Thank you. X
Hi Julia, the shade name is Brighten, The link in the description box takes you directly to the shade that I use.
Dear Mrs M You look beautiful, love the makeup. Take care, love from Franx
Great video. Very informative. But the link for your face powder is not working. Many thanks for all your work on UA-cam
Sorry about the link not working, I’ll have a look at it in the next couple of hours and see if I can correct it.
And I always prefer to do my eyes first bc of the fallout. It ruins my makeup if I do face first 😂 Tfs lovely loook
Please avoid Shein. You cannot trust the toxins. Research them ..a terrible company in terms of plastic, slave labour and animal cruelty
Would you please be kind enough to share the link for the stretch belts you purchased from Amazon. Thanks in advance.😀
