I'm taking it evenly throughout the day, but I want to experiment with one in the afternoon and two about an hour before bed and see if there is any different effect@@tdean5840
I have epilepsy. Or at least that’s what I was diagnosed with. But even on seizure meds, my seizures happened either with stress or certain foods. I started taking Magtech L-threonate about 6 months ago at bedtime. I sleep great. But I was staying away from coffee because that was a trigger. After watching this, as a trial, I took one capsule in the morning. Then had a cup of coffee. And he is correct. I have a sense of being super hyper focused. But calm. No seizures at all. I can’t thank him enough. Because for years, I’ve missed coffee. If you know someone that has seizures, have them try an L-Threonate supplement. It’s life changing.
I have a family member dx with epilepsy. She drinks decaf coffee. Seizures don't happen too often but I think she only had them when stressed or too excited. She does not sleep at night though. I'm wondering if this can help her.

Magnesium Bisglycinate Chelate is a dipeptide molecule as it’s fully reacted and does not ionize in the stomach. Phytates and oxylates do not affect its absorption. The chelate structure makes the magnesium more effective at crossing the blood brain barrier. Two moles of glycine to one mole of magnesium.

@DrJinSung Does this mean that Vitamin D3 is only activated in the brain and spinal cord when you take magnesium threonate? If so would it be prudent to alternate with say magnesium glycinate, every so often, so that the entire body can benefit from Vit D3?
Vitamin D3 or Cholecalciferol is converted to the active form calcitrol in the liver and magnesium is used in the process. If someone is deficient in magnesium there isn’t enough magnesium for the liver to convert the cholecalciferol to calcitrol so they can often be deficient in active form of vitamin D even if they are taking lots of D3 or getting lots of sun exposure. I don’t know how this works with magnesium l threonate getting into the brain and what impact that has on the liver converting the D3
Excellent presentation. I use a product by Kappa Nutrition that contains glycinate, malate and threonate, which tend to be the most recommended forms. Hello Dr Sung, I have been trying to find studies of Magnesium L-Threonate conducted on humans, that prove the points you have made. Can I take magnesium citrate and potassium citrate syrup as a supplement daily the syrup contains potassium citrate and magnesium citrate. Is it safe ?
Hey, Dr.Sung. I read that the daily recommended dosage of magnesium for a male is around 400mg of elemental magnesium. Now if Im taking magnesium l-threonate and 1000mg = 72 mg of elemental magnesium. Does that mean I should take 5 of these pills through out the day?
I'm not doc here, but if I may, that 72mg to 1000mg is actually a ratio. So that 1000 may be a combination of magnesium variants. If it is, it may be in the "suggested" doses of those forms and be a pretty good magnesium complex.
@@blackbuck4real It's not a ratio. 1000mg magnesium l-threonate contains 72mg elemental magnesium. The suggested dose is that of elemental magnesium not of the inclusive ingredient.
@caphillres Well its trash IF it claims it is 1000mg of L-threonate with only 72mg of "elemental " It is a ratio of 72mg of elemental mag VS 928mg of what other forms it is comprised of. It can be 1000mg that's got 6 different forms construed throughout. It's absolutely a ratio that's fairly muddled when other brands have a 3:1 or 2:1.
@caphillres and I understand the suggested dose. I'm bringing up the ratio because if it contains let's say 600mg of Mag Citrate, per 1000mg dose, one has to take 4-5X that, they're going to get a real nice laxative effect is all I'm getting at. The RatiO of other magnesiums OR ingredients in the 928mg matters substantially.
@@blackbuck4real It's chemistry. The forms we consume to make them bio-available are chemical compounds. Not to be confused with a mixture of ingredients like a cake. A good example is H2O. Water is a chemical compound of 1 hydrogen atom and 2 oxygen atoms. If hydrogen weighs 1 and oxygen weighs 2, then H20 would weigh 5. The same applies with forms of vitamins or supplements. Magnesium (insert type here) is always chemically bound to another "something" eg. glycine (making magnesium glycinate), oxygen (making magnesium oxide), etc. Otherwise you'd be eating metal. Whatever the elemental magnesium is bound to has mass alongside it... so if you wanted to ingest 144mg of elemental magnesium from lets choose Magnesium L-Threonate, you'd need to consume 2g of Magnesium L-Threonate. That backwards math of that is: 2g Magnesium L-Threonate = 144mg elemental magnesium + 1856mg of the novel amino acid L-Threnoate The actual manufacturing process is more complicated than described above but the jest hopefully makes sense.
hi doctor ... please UA-cam on the topic " pre-workout during fasting " I had a discussion with a pharmacy sales representative and she convinced me that its good to have certain pre-workouts and it won't break your fast. she mentioned c4 ripped is one such non-fast-breaking supplement please check the ingredients in the C4 ripped and suggest .... thanks..

Dr.Sung, thank you so much for explaining this critical vitamin so beautifully👏🙏❤️it
Would it be good to take a magtein product and magnesium glycinate for increased magnesium?
Can I take magnesium citrate and potassium citrate syrup as a supplement daily the syrup contains potassium citrate and magnesium citrate. Is it safe ?
Can you other magnesite as well
So you take mag l-threonate before sleep and take another in the morning together with coffee?
Is it ok to take Magnesium 7 ??? Thank you 🙏
I am allergic to green tea, the last time I drank some, I broke out in hives. Can I still take this?

Does it lower your bp?
Im worried I'm on amlodipine 5mg and my bp and pulse goes quite low. My docotor wont lower my dose to 2.5 mg.
My husband cannot focus on any tv programs anymore and sleeps sitting up on the recliner all day long. Wouldn’t this magnesium make him more sleepy?
What about the Magnesium Complex?
Hi Dr. Sung; I think you're wonderful.
That backwards math of that is: 2g Magnesium L-Threonate = 144mg elemental magnesium + 1856mg of the novel amino acid L-Threnoate
The actual manufacturing process is more complicated than described above but the jest hopefully makes sense.
hi doctor ... please UA-cam on the topic " pre-workout during fasting " I had a discussion with a pharmacy sales representative and she convinced me that its good to have certain pre-workouts and it won't break your fast.
she mentioned c4 ripped is one such non-fast-breaking supplement
please check the ingredients in the C4 ripped and suggest ....
thanks..
