I joined your waitlist and will be sitting on my hands praying to hear from you Dr. Sung!
I just had to stop triple therapy for h pylori bc it was causing severe stomach pain and diarrhea. I told my new gi doctor I couldn’t take antibiotics after having cdiff 13 times over a year from taking kflex only once for a sinus infection.
I wound up having a fecal transplant by the grace of my now retired gi doctor. I haven’t taken an antibiotic but twice in almost 14 years and that was for a uti.
This new gi doctor I had to see for an endoscopy proved I had h pylori and gastritis but thankfully no ulcers or damage yet! He refused to work with me without using antibiotics. He told me he doesn’t do or believe in alternative medicine.
I despairingly tried to find a natural alternative but the more I looked the more confusing it became. I hesitantly started the triple therapy for h pylori but only lasted 3 days before having severe side effects and had to stop. This being said, I’m desperately trying to get someone willing to help me try an alternative method away from antibiotics as they are way too strong for my system.
I joined Dr. Sungs waitlist and pray he will reply and offer some help! I’m sick of these doctors and specialist not helping people who can’t take antibiotics! So many people die each year from c-diff bc their doctor doesn’t believe in alternative medicine or they just are flat out stubborn and don’t want to go outside their box to save their patient. It’s truly sickening! I certainly miss my gi doctor who retired but saved my life 14 years ago using alternative therapy.

Every one of those benefits are related to one thing, and that is the decrease in insulin resistance. In other words, berberine, Lowers fasting glucose and hemoglobin A1c because it decreases insulin resistance. Berberine improves lipids because it decreases insulin resistance. Berberine improves PCOS because it decreases insulin resistance. So on and so forth.

Excellent content!! I presume that you reference talking to your doctor as a disclaimer because most docs wouldn’t have a clue about this. They are pharmaceutically trained and seldom understand how any substance, outside of that, can be beneficial etc. They’re licensing precludes the use of anything non pharmaceutical! It’s a very sad situation. There are few that are willing to practice outside their licensing and legal parameters. This is why patients meet with such strong resistance from a medical doctor. It’s not that they don’t care. They have to legally practice what they were taught and licensed to do. There are exceptions, but very few!

You are exactly right - they are sadly trained to treat symptoms and NOT ROOT causes - and will write a prescription for any and everything. The state of medicine is beyond sad, frustrating and disgusting. Our "medical care" here in the U.S. has become corporate medicine - where patients are shuffled from Doctors, to specialist to specialist - the root causes of their ailments never being discovered, and rarely being treated. Big Pharma and insurance companies run the show. Most Drs. are no longer "healers".

So true. I presume I’ve been fired by my doctor, as they won’t answer the phone when I call, or return any of my messages. Why? Because I wanted to wait on getting the shot. You know the one, that requires boosters. Not because I’m an anti-vaxxer, but because I’m the person all pharmaceutical ads are refuting to when they list off all the adverse side effects. I almost died from Farxiga after being switched from the other deadly oral medication for diabetes, Invokana. Any way, this same doctor that discovered the cause of Diabetic Ketoacidosis that rendered me unconscious and comatose for 4 days (Farxiga) got very agitated when I asked if I could wait until some of the science to clear before I took another NON FDA approved medication. I really was hoping to get vaccinated, as I do have several comorbidities. Now here I am looking for a new physician, I literally haven’t been treated for my diabetes since mid 2020. I check my glucose regularly, and I now have a health BMI, losing 50+ pounds. I used to require an insulin pump. Haven’t had it attached to me in 2 years. When I started losing weight I adjusted down the insulin dosing as I started experiencing hypoglycemia. My sugars run between 150-200 so I’ve added walking and burberine I’m hopeful. Funny thing is, my chronic rash is gone, I’m no longer dealing with overactive bladder, and I’m no longer intensely hungry, and I feel satiated much sooner, I think my food portions are about half of what I used to feel I needed. I’ve only been on Berberine about a week, and I’m going to stick with it. I’m healthier now in my mid 59’s than I ever was in my late 30’s and 40’s.

The “consult your physician” inclusion is to add a layer of legal protection as a disclaimer. In turn, most physicians don’t want to recommended or instruct a patient on using a supplement such as Berberine. Why would they though? They wouldn’t be protected from legal action if there was a bad reaction. There are so many supplement companies where quality control and source is unknown.
I have had some doctors that won’t discuss at all. Period. Then others I have appreciated who explain they can’t professionally recommend but support your trying.

This guy is the most well informed on Barbarine than anyone I have seen! 👏
No Doctor is perfect. Unfortunately they are human and will unintentionally err sometimes.
The vast majority are trying to do their best with the unbelievable amount of information about physiology, treatments, all the plethora of medications and even surgical interventions they must learn in Med School.
My son is in Med School for Neurology and the amount of stuff required for them to know is staggeringly incomprehensible. Also if their particular school does not teach certain things we can not hold THEM accountable for it.
Med schools are known for often rejecting comprehensive medicine - stating lack of research. Pharmaceuticals are so useful in so many things but the profit motive is suspect.
With supplements, available studies & anecdotal reports can add up to real data worth considering.
We need to pick the right specialists and pick our health care providers very carefully for our particular situation.
For example, my 5 Star Internist is AMAZING at LOTS of things - but she doesn’t know everything about everything because she is human -
    like all of us.

    Nice video!
It takes about 9 grams of barberry branches, 12-25 grams of goldenseal flower, or 3-12 grams of goldthread, boiled into a tea/broth to provide the recommended 500 mg of beberine. If someone is brave enough to chew it directly, they get a higher concentration.
If someone is taking the standard 500 mg capsules, made popular by the supplement industry, they probably aren't taking enough.

Thank you for this presentation! I'm here for the perimenopausal and insulin resistant; I was put on B/P meds last year and aside from not being able to lose weight due, my last blood work was normal for the most part but It did show I had elevated C-reactive protein, and I have seasonal allergies and a mild form of eczema, so my doctor attributed it to that, told me I needed to lose weight and that's what wrong with those doctors! I'm finding on my own that taking berberine and going on healthy diet with exercise of course will cure all this! I'm just glad I'm a nurse and sometimes I wonder why I even bother listening to some of those doctors, all they do is give you a freaking pill! Just useless!!! It's rare to find a holistic Doctor this day! Thank you so much! This is the most detailed presentation on Berberine!!! I actually just got the dihydroberberine which is better absorbed by the body than just the berberine!!!
