I love that Sarah is on this episode. She has been championing BGIII for years. I wish she had been on the summer game preview issue when Kyle Hillard didn't even bring up Baldur's Gate 3.
One of the few I'm guessing who wasn't that familiar with Kyle Bosman before this stint as guest host - he's killing it! Would love to see him back as a guest in future
Loved the vibes on this episode. Everyone bounced off each other brilliantly. Really hope that Kyle stays around and appears on episodes frequently when Ben returns
@@jonathanbaird "toxic" is a bit strong. I was making an acerbic quip, and snarky humour ≠ toxicity. There's rarely any actual toxicity in the MinnMax community, thankfully.
33:26: It is because of the story few weeks before when other AAA game devs told that this game is anomaly and people should not expect them to make a game this good. I have been following game media since late 90s and I haven't heard such a thing for a game which is not even out. That story sold me the game.
I was in the same boat as Jacob when I first jumped into early access with my boyfriend, super confused even with a very straight forward class at the time but once you get a feel for the mechanics every class becomes so accessible, now I'm controlling a necro wizard and a barbarian leaping around the map tossing enemies at their friends and resurrecting them all as my minions in tactician mode, approaching the end(??) of act 3 and I don't want it to be over
The most hyped game for me was Warcraft 3! Got my older brother to take me to the midnight launch at Fry's, got the undead box, played until dawn that morning. Great game, first launch I had enough money of my own to get a game the day it came out and loved the franchise enough to want to. Sure would like a Warcraft 4...
Yeah. I sometimes start a new EZA episode, get bored after five minutes, and watch an old one from 2018 just have on in the background and have a few laughs.
@@GamingInTheWild I've followed EZA since the start and loved GT and finally made the decision to unsub yesterday. I love Huber but he's not enough to carry the channel and I just keep finding the podcast either boring or annoying. Such a bummer, I used to absolutely love it
I might jump on the Baldurs Gate 3 hype train, alot of my friends have shown interest. Just seems like a huge commitment for a genre I havent touched much.
Fun fact: "Jumped" can mean f*ck or fight depending on the speakers intent. Really says a lot about how aggro America is when we have interchangeable terms for those two very different activities.
Everyone's been asking Fromsoft why AC6 isn't open world after the success of Elden Ring. I firmly believe From has some kind of crystal ball, because they chose the perfect moment to not-compete with open world games.
Kyle has definitely shaken off the rustiness because this week was very enjoyable. The other two weeks you could feel the rust but despite that it has been very fun each time
When I played Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness. I accidentally saved as I pressed the jump button. So everytime I loaded i fell to my death. I couldn't cancel the animation and I had to start the whole game again.
15:50 No clue why Larian over tuned approvals from early access. The "Approval Tweaks" mod is mandatory for me. 59:33 Possibly a Pictomancer styled job from FF6. TMNT were all named after famous artists.
So what I have learned from this episode is that Kyle isn't DND-pilled enough to know when an orc and ogre at jumping each other if you interrupt you should expect them to get their rocks off at you.
The Dark Urge is not necessarily evil... He is something else that can't be talked about without spoiling the story of the dark urge. Even the smallest hint would reveal who he is to anyone who have knowledge of the Forgotten Realms. I probably already have sad too much.
I'm bum out that MinnMax did not do a live reaction to the Pokemon Direct and that has to be the first time. Other than that, Damnnnn this was a good segment on BG3 and still a banger of an episode.
I love the podcast and everyone has knocked it out of the park with Ben gone but gotta admit, I miss him. With it being a few weeks now I will say there are a couple of specific things I am ready to go back to normal. Love how good everyone has done but yea.
I don't know why you make such a big deal about the new expansion of ff 14 being in Mexico. The white girl seem offended but me and all my friends who plays the game are glad to see thoses characters we love interact with our culture. Leave the game a chance before being all negativity
I promise you Taco Bell is not what anyone thinks of here when we think of the phrase "Mexican food," barring the very specific scenario of "Man, I really want Mexican food, but it's late and all of the good places are closed, so I guess I'll settle for Taco Bell."
33:28 You know what got me trying baldur's gate 3? All those developers on twitter crying for gamers not to raise their expectations for other rpg/games after this. It made the round on the news a few times. A few youtubers made fun of those developers, and now ign made a similar video dissing those devs. Before that I didn't care about it at all. I got to say, I have never played dnd and don't currently have fun with BG3 yet (don't even know if the fun would ever come to me).
I'm 15 hours in and Baldur's Gate 3 is not a very good game. It's an okay game. If you like it, good for you. But no one should be intimidated to say it's not GOTY for them. This is just a fad, it is overhyped imo. As a point of reference, I tried Divinity 2, I'm 5 hours in and am having moderately more fun with it than BG3.
Jacob Geller and Kyle Bosman on the same podcast, does it get any better than that? Super excited for this one.
Great episode this week. Having Kyle hosting a show again is spoiling us man, I'm gonna miss this!
Yes.
MinnMax just, keeps winnin'
Cohorting Bosman, anyone? haha
This is too good.

Also, Kyle I hope you continue to host some podcast somewhere. You are such a good host.
I'm so glad Kyle Bosman got some time in with Sarah and Jacob!!
Sarah 100% deserves to gloat about how popular BG3 is! The rest of the Minnmax cast poo-poo'ed it before release.
My volume always needs to be turned down when she does but I agree
I love Bosman's Tim Rogers reference one minute into the show.
Please keep Bosman on when Ben comes back!!
Kyle and Jenna are great, I really hope they continue to be regulars when Ben comes back
