Very easy to follow tips and instructions. Wasn't sure if i wanted to do this, but after this im sold on it. Thanks for the video. Keep up the good work, and be safe out there.
Lorenzo Palacios yeah the fit was no big deal. The only thing I recommend is swapping out the clamps they gave me with the speed engineering y pipe. I would go v band if possible or a lap joint exhaust band clamp.
@@AaronHinesAuto I have an issue with the passenger side header/y-pipe hitting the trans crossmember causing an annoying rattle inside the cab. Would you know how to fix this ? It only happens when I accelerate and not on park . Thank you
Great video!! I'm going to be installing speed engineering headers and a catless y pipe this week on my 18 silverado, problem is the guy that's going to be tuning my truck can't get me in until November, would I still be able to drive my truck without the tune? I know the cel will be on but that's not a problem
Hey Aaron, I couldn't thank you enough for p9sting this super helpful video guide for installing the TSP headers. However, now I'm having a P0420 and P0430 and tried everything to fix it from new 02 sensors, MAF, sparks... dunno what else i can do. Need help!
Great video man. I installed some TSP longtubes a few months ago on my 2015 Silverado. This would have been super handy👍🏼. Only thing I didn’t do was completely drop the trans cross member out. I took 3 of the 4 bolts out which allowed it to swing out of the way.
Bryan Depiazzy I got was able to get the driver side plugged back in had to get the extension for the passenger side. Texas Speed sells them. Casper electronics also sells them PN 109288-24.
I really like your work. I’m in Arizona and I need work on my 2014 Chevy Silverado 1500 . It’s lifted. I need to install some long tube headers. How much u charge? I have the material.
Preciate you making this video. Sounds loud, but not obnoxiously loud. Been considering the kooks. Just might have to do it now! Did you notice a loss in fuel milage? I did a little after replacing intake and exhaust. I guess small price to pay for a growler! Lol .. thanks bro.
I have a few questions brother, why didn’t you get ceramic coated headers? Is it not that important/waste of money... and thank you for the links, I’m just starting to get into my 2015 and this tutorial helps a ton. My second question is about fitment. I did not see you have to modify the driver side header as I keep hearing from manufacturers. Did you not have that problem?
I read when installing long tube headers on 2015 chevy silverado modifications have to made so i went with shortys that are a pain in the ass. You made no modifications and they fit perfect except for the different Y pipe.
So I have my 2017 Silverado 1500 and I installed long tube headers with y-pipe but I don’t have a tune and I need to drive my truck to work every day for 3 weeks until I get the tune! Do you think I will be fine running the truck without a tune?
@Aaron Hines do you have any slight ticking on cold starts or under load with these headers? I’ve had the ARH on a couple and the exhaust tick gets annoying...
Anybody know if it’s safe to run a few miles (10 tops) to get to a dyno shop after install? The rear o2s aren’t going to like being catless. I’m not doing mail order tunes and trailering is an option but it’s such a pain..
Shit I’ve never seen a O2 sensor come off that easy I was just sitting here thinking dude must be strong as fuck haha 😂. Then editing came to mind but I won’t steal your Thunder lol
6.2L GMC Denali Does it increase power? Or just make noise. I've installed a total k&n cold air intake, master flow exhaust because the original had a leak now in thinking of getting new headers. Truck runs twice as fast and with much more torque then before
I recently purchased the speed engineering long tube headers but i dont see a catted y pipe, do you know which one will fit that specific set of headers?
Installing TSP long tube headers on my 2014 GMC Sierra 6.2L this weekend. On the TSP website it says that I don’t need any 02 extensions except for 2016 and up, any truth to this? Should I be good with what’s currently installed? Also, I’m buying some 02 spacers to avoid the CEL.
Aaron Hines I went with ceramic pacesetter headers. I’m actually going to put them in the weekend, I was just wondering if there was ever a problem after your install. I do have another question if you don’t mind. I have a 2016 GMC Sierra how many 02 extensions will I need ?
Yes I did. Kept them plugged in and used hp tuners to disable codes p0420 & p0430. Even though the catted y pipe comes with high flow cats, they still trip the light intermittently

Coming from an old school GM guy, there was totally not enough UGGA DUGGAS in this video :D Nice, detailed video. Good job!
What do you do with the other O2 sensors ?
Really good DIY video. Just installed my pacesetter headers with speed engineering y pipe and a corsa touring catback. Tune coming soon.
Raul Calvillo did the y pipe from speed engineering fit the pacesetters without a problem ??
Lorenzo Palacios yeah the fit was no big deal. The only thing I recommend is swapping out the clamps they gave me with the speed engineering y pipe. I would go v band if possible or a lap joint exhaust band clamp.
Very useful helped me out a bunch gave my truck soooooo much more power
Did you have to use O2 sensor harness extensions?
Really a good ass video most people don’t exactly show it or just make it harder than it looks
Did your check engine light stay off?
Did you install the back o2 sensors? Or are they not needed?
Did you end up needing an ECU tune after installing the headers and Y-pipe?
Awesome video! I'll definitely be looking back at this video when I purchase Kooks for my 18 Sierra All Terrain with the 6.2l 👌

Texas speed now offers GM gaskets
Will this still pass inspection
Can someone explain to a nonmechanic, why I need or would prefer an impact socket vs a normal socket?
