    I’m doing this mod to my truck this weekend. Next mod on the list will be upgraded driveshaft. Then a BTR stage 2 w/AFM delete and trunnion upgrade.

    • @JMRxYM
      @JMRxYM Рік тому +4

      I just had my 2014 single cab 5.3 built with the btr stage 2, ls7 lifters and valvetrain with dod delete, 6.2 intake and TB, LT4 fuel pump and injectors. This truck now chirps into both second AND third, runs insanely well for a daily driven street truck.

    • @JMRxYM
      @JMRxYM Рік тому +5

      These 5.3s make 380/420 on e85 and the cam alone is supposed to pull 70HP out of the L86 (6.2) so I’d assume probably 50ish on the L83 (5.3). Then the intake and fueling upgrades probably another 30-50 depending on tune. I’m probably sitting at about 425-430 to the wheels after it’s all said and done. You lose a little low end with the cam but what you gain from 3500-6000rpm is insane. It pulls the exact same through the entire powerband. Just shits and gets. I have videos if you want proof lol

      @@blakeedwards1730 I was suggested BTR stage 2, Johnson lifters, chromoly push rods, and conical dual spring kit.
      Nice HP and torque gain, still drivable with stock TC and can still tow with it.
      I plan to go with this “AFM delete”…

      I don't think the peak hp or torque will be a ton higher but it will have a better range and will definitely work well for you because it should be more lower to mid range I did the 6.2 intake manifold and tbody cat back and intake and then tuned it for e85 and made about 60ish hp more I think? I'd have to check the dyno printout it was about 2 years ago haha but it's nice alot more fun to drive but now my torque converter went out :( so I'm pulling it all apart having the trans built and camping the motor doing basically what you did minus the 6.2L heads 😜 haha

      @@JTrump23 I have the airaid Jr with the 6.2 l tb and intake and I was able to stretch it over the new intake. It's a job and you may need some lube but it can be done... I ended up ordering a 4"to 4" coupler on Amazon that's a little bit oversized for the intake but when you tighten the clamp, it seals it and your not able to pull it off. I was afraid of the 5.3l coupler splitting as it gets older.
