Recipe: (Makes 3-4 x 6" pans OR 2 x 8” pans)
5 eggs
2 Cups Granulated Sugar (400g)
1 Cup Vegetable oil (240ml)
3 3/4 Cups Cake Flour (480g)
1 1/2 Cup Milk (375ml)
1 Tbsp Baking Powder (15g)
Pinch of salt
1 Tbsp Vanilla Extract (10-15g)

📝 NOTE: Resting the batter is totally optional, you can skip this step and bake right away. I found that resting the batter helps eliminate air bubbles which results in a more even and consistent cake.

I tried so many butter based recipes and could never get the texture right but this recipe literally blows my mind, the cake is so soft and fluffy and takes like the bakery. I made my friends 2 tiered wedding cake with this recipe (and some passionfruit/guava curd) and everyone loved it. It really doesn’t taste oily or cornbread-y, just trust the process!!

I tried this recipe. So simple to follow, it came out perfect!! I’ve followed many recipes before and they never come out how I would like. I added biscoff spread to make it a biscoff cake. With the recipe I was able to make 4, 7 inch cake.

I made this today and I just had to come back to say THANK YOU. I've been baking cakes for years, tried many many recipes and this beats them all! This was the most delicious, fluffy, moist, yummy cake I've ever made❤ I filled it with dulce de leche and used american buttercream as frosting. A M A Z I N G!!!!

The cake is so fluffy but yet firm, doesn't crumble apart, not too sweet neither too bland, smells amazing and has a really gentle vanilla taste to it, absolutely loved it, I'll make it more often :3

Finally I tried this recipe for my birthday cake order and the results were very satisfying, delicious and soft. Didn't expect that cake batter without butter could be that soft. First time I used this recipe was in June, it was my first time properly baking and decorating a cake for a birthday and it was a huge success now fast forward to October and I still absolutely love and use this recipe all the time! It comes out perfect each time. I’ve even used it to make cupcakes and lemon cakes ( all I had to do was use some lemon extract/ lemon zest and juice). I’ll definitely recommend this recipe and video! 💕 I’m still always getting compliments on the cakes and I’m currently in the process of baking one now 🙈😂.

@@msfarrah2451 no since it was for a few hours but if you want to keep it in the fridge for a day or so then it would be better for you to wrap the cake in plastic wrap.
