How To Cake It, Cookies Cupcakes n Cardio, How To Cook That & My Cupcake Addiction were all part of my childhood! I used to watch you back in 2015. Good to see you ladies are still active and posting!! 🔥❤️
Of all cakes I've ever made, and all the recipes I've every created my Ultimate Vanilla Cake Recipe has been my most popular, most requested, most famous and most LOVED by you all! What I want to know is have you tried making this Vanilla cake recipe? And I also want to know what recipe you want to see from me next?!!
I'm sure that the "simpler" the cake is, the more perfect you feel you need to cake it, and you've nailed perfection. I learned so much from this video alone and I've been watching for YEARS! One question: do you cool your cakes in the pan? I think you said they're chilled so did you put them in the fridge? Is that how they come out of the pan so easily or did you take them out when they were warm? Thanks, Yo!!
I just tried your recipe for a group of nurses I work in honor of my last day and they loved it! I used vanilla extract and vanilla bean paste in the batter and buttercream frosting I made. 🍨
My partner and I have a small baking business and we use your vanilla cake recipe for all our cakes and cupcakes, the only variation being swapping all purpose flour for cake flour! Everyone tells us it's the best cake they've ever tasted! 🎂🧁
Soooooo, im goin to step out on faith and try this recipe. Iv always been worried about making "all butter" cakes, with the exception of pound cakes, bc i have a huge fear of my cakes being dry. Ive seen the wonderful comments about your cake, so im going to try it out on tomorrow. Ill definitely let you know how it comes out!
I have used your vanilla cake for a couple of big family events. It is raved about every time and no leftovers! Thanks for sharing. I do find my edges are crispy, but that could be because I spray/butter my pans.
I've always watched but never let you know. LOVE your LOVE for cakes & people... Thank you. I think those are strawberries 🍓 I haven't seen any raspberries that big in the "States" . 🎂❤️🙏🏽🕊
Hi Yolanda!! Your ultimate recipes are my go to. The vanilla, chocolate and red velvet are my clients' favorites too. I use the same recipes for cupcakes and I have never been let down. Stay blessed always and keep inspiring!! Lots of Love from Mombasa, Kenya!!
Hello Yolanda! Thank you so much! for redoing your most delicious vanilla cake recipe. I love everything about it, Taste, color, texture, you’re so right it is the ULTIMATE Vanilla cake! I must of watched your original video easily a 100 times, listening and watching exactly what you are doing. The only ingredient that I’m having an issue with, is the type of all purpose flour to use, do you use bleached or unbleached? Do you recommend a particular brand? I live in New Jersey USA. Also, I would so appreciate the measurements of the flour in either grams or ounces, please 🙏🏻. I’ve been using 120 grams per cup measurement for the flour and 200 grams per cup for the sugar, what do you think? Again, Thank you so much! your majesty! Your are truly the queen of baking! 👑👸👑
Lovely to see you again.. a question i want to ask you.. after baking cake, how long you leave it before start decorating it.. and where and how you store it before decorating it. Thanks
I made this cake for my sons birthday a few years ago and it was the best vanilla cake I ever had. It stayed moist for the longest time…I was shocked. We actually left a small piece of uneaten, unfrosted cake out on the counter AAAAAAND it was still moist like 2 days later! 😮 I’ll never use another cake recipe!
Um ok I'm taking a screen shot of this and using it as a testimonial. That's amazing!!! If your on IG please tag me the next time you bake this or if you want to rave about this recipe again hahaha
@@HowToCakeIt oh man! 😱 GLADLY! 🎂I’ll have to look for some pictures of the cake and shout out this recipe on IG or find a reason to make it again lol 🤔 I’ll be sure to tag you! 😉
I made this vanilla cake two Christmases ago and let my nephew help me decorate it with handmade chocolate pieces. It was so fun and delicious.😋 Everybody loved it.👍🏾❤️
Such a long time I haven’t watched your show but OMG!!! You are looking so good, I know you’ve probably gotten this a million times but u need to bring Orhan and Jocelyn on and do a nailed it style episode where u make a cake and they have to replicate it. Thank u for making my childhood so special and inspiring to make my own homemade cakes you are awesome 🎉. God bless you and your child keep up the hard work queen !
Made this cake and loved it. It was the best vanilla cake. Yo, can you tell me how to adjust the ingredient amounts to make in a 9" pan instead of an 8" pan. Thanks in advance
I agree. As someone who has caked Snorlax, I can confirm this is a beginner cake. This probably would have taken Yo 2 days because she likes to chill her cakes overnight, but you can easily do this in a day. Btw, I requested this last week and it must’ve been just a coincidence it’s up today, because the types of cakes Yo makes are time consuming. However, thanks Yo for making my request. 😊
I have watched a lot of ur TV shows but this has made me want to take ur cookie online classes this is very detailed cause I'm a visual learner this is excellent
Hey Yolanda! You said to bake it at 350°, but it displayed 250° on the video. It’s 350°, correct or is this a low and slow bake? BTW, absolutely love you.😊
Yes!! 🎂🎂🎂 Yolanda you’ve changed my whole baking experience with this recipe❤ love it, always delicious and versatile! Thanks for another great video🤩 all of your recipes are amazing, I would love to see the cookies and cream cake recipe, those Oreo chunks in vanilla batter was incredible😍😍😍
It makes me so happy to hear you use and love my vanilla cake recipe. It took yearsssss to perfect and my heart bursts when people tell me they use it and love it! Thank you for sharing and will definitely think about sharing a cookies and creme recipe.
Hi I am new to your channel. I live in the UK and use in ounces and grams. Do you have a conversion table. Can you also let me know to how downsize the recipe for 8in cake tins
I think they are almost all sold out on line. Maybe just a few copies on Amazon and there may be some at your local bookstore but very few copies left online
The vanilla cake is classic and can be done with many different variations. All cakes bow down to the queen of cakes. You whisper one time and they behave.
I have made your ultimate vanilla cake multiple times, but most recently for my kiddo's birthday. Quite delicious. Everyone enjoyed it. I'm team raspberry. Other emojis with berries like the slice of cake clearly show the leaves on the strawberry.

I get this question a lot and sadly I don't have the answer as I've never baked in high altitude (and neither has my team) sorry I can't be of more help. I can ask people on my IG to see if they have suggestions?
Any tips for proportioning? It seems like Yolanda always gets it right, and just curious to know what kind of tools or dare i say math is used to make sure that all your cake assets are proportioned correctly.
When In tried this it didnt work. I am not sure what I did wrong but I measured everything according to the US system (which I believ you are using) and it wouldnt bake. I usually use metric as it's precise and never have issues. I wondered whether it could be that?
Is there a good way of converting this to... actual measurements that are the same? I ask, cause I have recently found out that cups vary from country to country (ours are substantially larger which causes... too much dry to eggies)
@HowToCakeIt the uk xD like it's the pint issue as UK had a pint as 20 fluid ounce and US has it at 16, and cups are based on that. It doesn't sound like much, but it really adds up in the dry measurements. Plus it results in a lot of dough which impacts the baking time and stuff. This is such first world problems.... waaah my cups are too big xD
Please help. There is the pan size chart on the homepage, but I don’t get it. It for example says per one 8 inch round 3 pounds. but then here she uses 3 pounds for two rounds. So know I don’t know how To use the chart

According to emojipedia, they are strawberries. Not sure how accurate of a website that is though 😂.

Have you tried making a tres leches cake? yum!!
I want her to do that ( so I can steal the recipe 😂) and a strawberry cake.
So to clarify, is it 350 or 250 for baking? You said one but on the screen it said only 250 which is not usual for cakes. Looks yummy!
