My daughter and I made this tonight! It is soooo delicious!!! we didn't have any buttermilk so we just used milk and used half and half instead of heavy cream because that's what we had on hand. The absolute best vanilla cake we've had! I have made soo many of your recipes and they are all wonderful!! Thank you Natasha!

Did you used buttermilk?... I can't find it at my local stores so I made my own by using sourt creame and water as a video indicated.. my cakes are stiff !!! 😫

I made this cake a few weeks ago and wow wow wow, was it AMAZING!!!!. Thank you so much Natasha for this great recipe. When you make a simple cake, the taste must be the standout. This cake did not disappoint. I’m gluten free and I’ve always had a problem with gluten free APF having an odd texture when using just baking powder, so I was skeptical about making this cake. I can only say that this will be my go to for vanilla cake from now on. And the buttercream was perfect. It’s hot where I live, 110+ degrees in the summer, so breaking is a problem.....not this time. I made this for a school project and it was the BEST vanilla cake i had in my life! I also had an idea to add a few drops of food coloring in the batter once it was in the pan, then i swirled it and made a marble cake, it turned out better than i though. Would definetley reccomend!

This is my go to for yellow cake. I love it because it comes out perfectly and only uses 4 eggs and regular AP flour. A lot of others use cake flour, and 6 eggs. Thank you for this gem.👏👏👏🙌🙌🙌❤

I made your cake today as a practice run for the cake I will be making for my Mom's 77th Birthday coming up, this tasted professional bakery quality ans way better than store bought and it was the first cake I made from scratch. Hello@@sufiamulla you can make a buttermilk by combining milk and vinegar or lemon juice. 1 cup milk and 1 tbsp vinegar makes 1 cup of buttermilk. Mix them both and set aside for 5 mins. Hope that helps 😊

I tried this recipe yesterday 16th april 2024 and thumbs up its mosit and nice.... I did a few changes i added nutmeg, cinnamon, lemon juice, instead of putt the 4tsp of vanilla essence i put to tsp of vanilla essence and 2tsp of almond aessence also i didn't use to 9 inch pans i only use 1 pan which was a 8inch...so if theres any one looking for a moist cake this recipe is a must... Finally got a good recipe

mariaa gi, if you using American buttercream it was supposed to be very sweet but you can use swiss buttercream which is less sweet

Make sure they cool for at least 20 minutes. To fast up the process put them in the freezer for a few minutes
