I went into the DLC with a dual short sword character I had been enjoying playing with, switched to keen backhand blades and it's carried me through all the content ever since.
Another good place to farm the Curseblade's Cirque is just northeast of the Gravesite Plain grace- there's a Curseblade hanging out on an arch that will descend when you come close.
for the smithscript weapons, put flame art/sacred/magic scaling on it with a faith or int build they already have innate faith and int scaling which affects the physical damage, which will go from E to C/B when you change the scaling and affect both the physical and elemental damage like that
I've noticed some DLC weapons have a unique move when you move forward, hold roll and tap RT / R2 but I don't know if any base game weapons have a move for that input
the Cirque is my favorite. if you can fully charge a R2 at close range you will deal INSANE damage with the right talismans since your guy throws both, but it is worse at range than some of the other throwing weapons
Smithscript Cirque with Swift Slash convinced me to ditch Moonveil. It's worth noting that jumping heavy is also a throw move. I use it a lot when jumping away from assailants.
Swift slash is straight up one of the most op things from soft has added in a dlc, right beside the unnerfed version of Ringed Knight Paired Greatswords when the ringed city came out
The Smithscripts are my favorite because they fit my Pyromancy build perfectly. A flame themed Chakrams that can be thrown? I'm practically Axel from Kingdom Hearts!
One thing I think is really worth abusing with all the smithscript weapons is the jumping heavy, they come out fast and are gonna catch people off guard
I love using backhand blades cause I used to just stand there waiting for the enemy to come then use the ash of war to completely catch them off guard lol
I put Flame Art on the Smithscript version which gives it really crazy Faith scaling and huuuuge AP. Combined with Golden Vow, Flame grant me strength, 15% fire damage tear and Alexander's charm, the damage is ridiculous. Base AP is around 1300, with all buffs it's over 2000.

I put swift slash ash on the backhand blade with blood affinity and I put the blind spot ash on the Cirque's with blood affinity and they're ABSOLUTELY INSANE!
Do someone remember flipping Havel moms before they patched them out in DS1? For some reason backhand blades reminded me of them. With how lightweight they are and how fast you can move with them (with help of weapon arts) even with heavy armor equipped
Honestly I just wish that flying kick on the Curseblade weapon art was on the martial arts weapons lmao Also, fun fact, the Smithscript Cirques actually have a heavy feint! They're the only backhand blade that does! And also because of Smithscript weapons having int/faith that effects physical damage, they have a weird interaction where when you infuse them magic or sacred/flame art it will actually gain both physical AND elemental AR with those stats, making them do a lot more damage than I think was intended lol
tipp for all smithscript weapons the int / fth scaling for physical persists after infusion meaning you get insane damage on flame art, sacred and magic on flame art with 40 str and 80 fth the smithscript greathammer is only 13 ar behind the giant crusher.
Backhand blade swords worked a charm against Maliketh on my second play through after beating DLC and continuing main story. Not so much against Radagon and Elden Beast.
I thought the smithscript weapons were going to suck, but the smithscript cirque may be one of the most fun weapons they’ve ever made. Also, you didn’t mention this, but weapons also get physical damage scaling with faith when flame art infused.
with running you can spam the light attack and you dont lose momentum it actualy prepels you foward. i tried it on like the first day and its probably really good in pvp
I still think they get outclassed by power stanced curved swords for love at least. They have significantly better dps and a better jump attack that applies bleed quicker
I used to have dual nagis on most of my builds as a upwards swap from my main weapon. I wasn't shameless enough to main them, but they were great for chasing down hosts who ran to resummon or as a shitter deleter. They got nerfed, but these fill that same role. Running attacks that don't lose any momentum? That's the best chase down in the game. Of course there's the ash of war for if my coinvader is an honor red and I want to kill him to get heals and maybe get someone useful in.
what's hilarious is most coopers will miss swift slash from their need to 100% coop every inch of the game, so they won't even see the summon signs for the fight you get it from.
Fun fact : if you put a holy scaling on the last one , faith will not only scale the elemental damage bht also the physical , so putting flaming on it and having faith build is broken
Honestly if you use a max out backhand blade with vykes thunderbolt and claw talisman and a few more talismans you can do some damage that’s how I beat messmer
You never mentioned the running r2 attack on the backhand blades it’s so ridiculously broken. For some reason, the first hit of the running r2 is pretty weak, but the second hit of it does nearly 2600-3000 damage for me and it’s so fast.
The standard R2 recovery is messed up on the backhand blade. You can do a followup, you can use the aow just fine, but it will not let you dodge after using R2. You HAVE to attack out of it or use an evasive aow. Screwed me over so many times Edit: I just tested something and it does let you guard cancel the recovery to roll so it's not a huge deal.

The stage front one is better cause you can backstab him first every time you fight him
That guy grabbed me and threw me off the cliff when I first went by him.
for the smithscript weapons, put flame art/sacred/magic scaling on it with a faith or int build
they already have innate faith and int scaling which affects the physical damage, which will go from E to C/B when you change the scaling and affect both the physical and elemental damage like that
I've noticed some DLC weapons have a unique move when you move forward, hold roll and tap RT / R2 but I don't know if any base game weapons have a move for that input
It's a feint attack, and is on some other weapons as well. The Astel Wings, being my favorite int blade with this feature.
Played my first dlc run entirely with backhand blades + black flame blade incantation, such an amazing weapon
the Cirque is my favorite. if you can fully charge a R2 at close range you will deal INSANE damage with the right talismans since your guy throws both, but it is worse at range than some of the other throwing weapons
Monk, if you use swift slash I swear to god-
Smithscript Cirque with Swift Slash convinced me to ditch Moonveil.
I'm pretty sure all the new weapons have heavy attacks that true combo into the light attacks.
These weapons are awesome, super cool running attack.
Tbh the backhand blades(not rings) are my favorite weapon I’ve ever used in any soulslike ever. I love this moveset so much
The jump throw is insane into a light attack string. So easy to get off with some pretty insane damage
Brother...
I have been watching you since your fist videos
I completely love them and used your videos a lot to gain more power across the lands between
But now our beloved journey ends
Because of the DLC that i don't have
But you are still amazing
I want to watch you reach a million or even 100 million
Keep going my brother

@@ارتینهستم what platform do you play on?
I put swift slash ash on the backhand blade with blood affinity and I put the blind spot ash on the Cirque's with blood affinity and they're ABSOLUTELY INSANE!
For some reason the cirques have absurd damage scaling with certain affinities though. The faith req adds pure physical damage which is neat
Do someone remember flipping Havel moms before they patched them out in DS1? For some reason backhand blades reminded me of them. With how lightweight they are and how fast you can move with them (with help of weapon arts) even with heavy armor equipped
Honestly I just wish that flying kick on the Curseblade weapon art was on the martial arts weapons lmao
Also, fun fact, the Smithscript Cirques actually have a heavy feint! They're the only backhand blade that does!
And also because of Smithscript weapons having int/faith that effects physical damage, they have a weird interaction where when you infuse them magic or sacred/flame art it will actually gain both physical AND elemental AR with those stats, making them do a lot more damage than I think was intended lol
tipp for all smithscript weapons the int / fth scaling for physical persists after infusion meaning you get insane damage on flame art, sacred and magic on flame art with 40 str and 80 fth the smithscript greathammer is only 13 ar behind the giant crusher.
for the one you gotta farm if your not that confident in killing them in a confined space that next the 1st grace you get in the dlc is fast to farm
Great vid. Cant wait for the Light greatsword vid, my new fav weapons
I’ve been just using those standard ones and they’re really really good
I was so happy when I saw they added shacrans into the game! Not many midias show them but I think they are awesome to look!!
I wish blind spot could go on daggers, that's how it was in ds3
11:10 even the guard wanted to jump them💀
I got the curseblade cirques off literally the second one I killed, the one that tries to ambush you near the church near the beginning of the DLC.
The blind spot ash of war is insane
I didn't even know you have to farm for the Curseblade Cirques lmao. I got it like 5 minutes into the DLC from the first Curseblade I came across.
For me the most broken part of these weapons is the fact that you can keep moving even attacking.. it's soo good at roll catching.
The 1 damage happened from your body hitting the opponent rather thwn the weapon, sinilar to when you fall onto an enemy from above without attacking
the most satisfying thing in pvp is countering the backhand ash of war with the obsidian lamina
Dancing lion was kicking my ass when I was using moonveil, then I tried with cold backhand blade blind spot spam, did it first try
I feel so bad for him having to use swift slash for the video my deepest respects for this man
It's actually much easier to farm curseblade near the starting grace in dlc. One jumps down off an archway in front of you.
I've been playing a quality/faith build using the Smithscript shield in my offhand and the Smithscript cirque in my main. I have dubbed it PIZZA TIME.
what's hilarious is most coopers will miss swift slash from their need to 100% coop every inch of the game, so they won't even see the summon signs for the fight you get it from.
Dual reverse grip is every fence master nightmare and I love it
Nice video can you do the remembrance weapons pls
Fun fact : if you put a holy scaling on the last one , faith will not only scale the elemental damage bht also the physical , so putting flaming on it and having faith build is broken
Blind spot Aow & smith script cirque bleed infused are fast, unpredictable & sick aF.
So many hard hitting 1,2 shot DLC weapons.
Bunch of Awesome new weapons and armor in the new dlc, really wanna get back into the game
You forgot the fact that the running heavy hits four times, just like powerstanced curved swords
blind spot also has alot of s so u can punish any move with it
Lowkey upset that we got ranged chakrams, but they weren't the Crystalian discs.
Love rhe video. Def gonna have to make a build with the backhands. Also, would you mind sharing the armour combo you’re using?
Land of Reeds Helm, Ronin Chest and Greaves, Eccentric Manchettes
Can't wait for your vid on Light Greatswords.
Honestly if you use a max out backhand blade with vykes thunderbolt and claw talisman and a few more talismans you can do some damage that’s how I beat messmer
the one damage for the first cirques is despicable
With Blind Spot you can literally just stand still and press L2 whenever they attack. It’s THAT stupid. You’re putting in extra work, for sure.
You never mentioned the running r2 attack on the backhand blades it’s so ridiculously broken. For some reason, the first hit of the running r2 is pretty weak, but the second hit of it does nearly 2600-3000 damage for me and it’s so fast.
I used the backhand blades fort the first half of the game. then I got the Claws of night which are absolutely insane
The standard R2 recovery is messed up on the backhand blade. You can do a followup, you can use the aow just fine, but it will not let you dodge after using R2. You HAVE to attack out of it or use an evasive aow. Screwed me over so many times
Edit: I just tested something and it does let you guard cancel the recovery to roll so it's not a huge deal.
