I've never had a salad with this fine of pieces. This is interesting however I don't think I would enjoy this. And the bowl seems more effort actually and with the cutting tool. It seems like I'm very unnatural position and more effort. If I was going to chop it finely like this I think I would have to use a cutting board and my sharp knife. Or maybe my food processor. I have had blended salads before with using my blendtec blender so I might use that on the pulse mode if I was interested but that's rare. Usually I like to chew on bigger pieces. With that being said I may try this because it looks interesting and maybe I might love it! Thank you for this video.
Rocky Hemke , so do I. 😊 Using the S blade, I chop the harder veggies like carrots, apple, celery, and peppers first (maybe 4-5 seconds). Then, without removing the hard veggies, I add the leafy greens and softer veggies and chop those. It doesn’t even take 20 seconds all together. The food processor is so easy to wash up too. Tami you are right about the chopped salad tasting so much better. I now look forward to my salad every day, rather than think of it as something I “should” eat.

This is so helpful to see the methods of chopping a salad. I am grateful to have a larger chopping bowl, it is definitely easier. However I cannot take them traveling. Someone posted her method of using scissors ✂️ to chop a salad! Lightbulb moment for me! Kitchen scissor are now going to be part of my camping gear! 🥗✂️❤️

Thank you!! This is helpful. There are some healthy salad ingredient textures I don't care for (red cabbage and kale come to mind!), so this would be a perfect way to incorporate them. And it's great that you showed a low cost way to try this out before investing in the higher end bowl. I can't wait to give it a go!
LOVE your channel! I have the OXO wheel cutter and I just can't be without it! We also have a chopped salad everyday, and it is so much tastier than a conventional salad. Thank you for all your incredible wisdom. 💖
Thanks so much for showing everyone that doesn’t have a Holland bowl yet. Hoping to win one and am signed up for the give away. Thanks Tami for all you info loving it.

It is made by OXO a well respected kitchen gadget company. It is like a plastic cutting board but in a bowl shape. It is what I started out with and it is the one I show in this video and I talk about it in the video. Thanks for showing us how to chop without the board. Prefer the flat chopping board to the bowl.
You are welcome. The bowl is much faster and easier!

What size Holland bowl do you have in the video?

im thinking i could try pulsing it a few times in my large food processor a few handfuls at a time?
That is exactly what I was looking for! Could you use the mezzaluna on the flat wooden cutting board?
can't u use a food processor if you have one?
When you eat your chopped salads, do you use a fork or spoon? I'm curious because I've never had a salad chopped this fine before.
I eat my chopped salad with a spoon but Tom uses a fork! 🌷
Thank you Tammy sp? for doing this can't get a Holland bowl. Maybe someday :-)

You have a salad chopper and bowl on your amazon affiliate page that resembles a pizza cutter. How do you feel about that one? Is the plastic safe?

I wonder if a pizza cutter would work to chop a salad. I have one of those. Great video !! thank you!
that is sort of how the oxo set works, it just has two blades
Thank you! I'm not quite there with the bull yet but hope to be one day. :-)

Why don't you cop before you put in the fridge?
Use a food processor.
