    Hi Tami ~ Another great video! Thank you for all that you and Tom share :)
    A little tip I'd like to share. I place a folded kitchen towel under my chopper - it helps quiet the noise, but more importantly it cushions the bottom with the little silicone round feet. My last chopper actually cracked where a couple of the 'feet' were forced up through the bottom - this takes care of that.
    And also - it's **so much easier** to chop the harder items like the onion if they're sliced into smaller, thinner pieces. I don't know what we'd do without our chopper - we use it every day. Such a great investment :D

    I feel as if the romance I have with my self made end grain cutting board and my average knife skills, would be lost by the repeated body slamming of this dicing box. However, the 100 lbs. I have on you would probably make it a little less violent looking. I am excited about trying your recipe though. 😉

    I was wondering if the chips could be made in the oven. If so, what temperature would you suggest and for how long?

    • @NutmegNotebook
      @NutmegNotebook  5 років тому +1

      I do address this in my blog post. 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes but it all depends on your oven and the brand of corn tortillas you use so you have to play around with it and figure out what works best for you. If I don’t get it I will purchase on Boxing Day when many items are discounted (Canadian holiday after Christmas Day). I can’t wait to try this recipe. Quick question, do you eat the overt higher fat whole plant foods like avocados, nuts, seeds, olives and tofu?

    How long have you had this chopper? It seems like it is hard to operate. With that much force will it break?

    • @NutmegNotebook
      @NutmegNotebook  5 років тому +1

      I'm short and it's much easier for me to use it on my kitchen table rather than the counter top or the island because then I get leverage on it and it's much easier! I use it a lot and the firmer the tomatoes the easier it is to uses too! If they are soft it's more difficult to chop them in the chop wizard.

    Pico de gallo?

    • @NutmegNotebook
      @NutmegNotebook  5 років тому

      In Mexican cuisine, pico de gallo (Spanish pronunciation: [ˈpiko ðe ˈɣaʎo], lit. beak of rooster), also called salsa fresca or salsa cruda, is traditionally made from chopped tomato, onion, and cilantro, with lime juice mixed in.
