It is great to see the devs and everyone have fun and not just try to promote a game. I like that Nintendo posts stuff like this. I enjoyed watching this.
The Game Trials yea ,, everyone'' the most fun have the developers who worked under them so they can draw pics! Yay! (Not hating them just saying)
I know what you mean, but I rarely see developers come out and do stuff that is not about promoting a game. This video for example, they are not here to try to show off the features of BotW or Odyssey, they are just trying to guess what the other director would like more.

I like how, seemingly by accident, all of Mr. Koizumi's answers related to Zelda (even though he's the Mario guy). Kept throwing Mr. Aonuma for a loop.
Actually, Koizumi used to be the Zelda guy. He wrote the backstory to A Link to the Past and he directed Link's Awakening. He also co-directed Majora's Mask and wrote the entire story. In a way, he's responsible for all the major lore of the series.
Koizumi was originally the creative force behind both the Mario and Zelda series before Nintendo divided them into their own separate studios. Every time these two do interviews together, you can tell Koizumi is just itching to make another Zelda game - While Aonuma is obviously just trying to change the subject back to Mario.

For what I heard, Koizumi was responsible for the "time loop" idea in Majora's Mask, which is brilliant. One of the best Zelda games in my opinion.
What if Koizumi thought Zelda was Aonuma's favorite Nintendo franchise? What if his favorite Zelda game actually is BotW? 🤔
If it was marketing then they wouldn't have said "We're doing this to promote the game right?" yeah I don't think it was marketing, marketing would just let any mistakes like that out. But no, the way how Eiji Aonuma was laughing and smiling that looks like actual emotion.
I mean Koizumi preferred the NES zelda over Super Mario Bros because he thought it was easier.

Always thought it was a extremely underappreciated gem.
Everything you love about Majora's Mask is probably because of Koizumi. No Koizumi, no Bomber's Notebook, no 3 day cycle, no story.
Not my most favorite Zelda game, but yes, Majora’s Mask certainly is my personal favorite.
