My Grandpa I never got to meet was a Coal Miner. Here's to you Grandpa. 🤗
My grandfather from Italy died in the coal mines in Scranton Pennsylvania
Mine grandgrandfather as well - Mironski, most of miners were from Poland and Italy
Fantastic footage Brad, well done. 👍
i can still see what remains of this building from my house. nice to see it when it was in action.
Which mine is this? What remains today? Thanks 🙏
Thanks for sharing. I’d love to go back in time for a few days with a modern camera or even an iPhone and record mining & RR’s above and below ground in Hi-Def.
The technology of a large Colliery run by Steam, manpower, boy power, cables and held together by wood is amazing. Watching a car with 1-2 tons head up that slope to be dumped is quite a sight. Thanks again.
Wow thanks for the share
My late paternal grandfathers education ended when at the age of 7 in 1900 went to work in the Lehigh Valley coal mines in Pittston as a breaker boy, this was before the 1905 child labor law came into being.
My great Uncle crawled out a window at school in the 2nd grade to go work in the mines. He died From Black Lung in the 1970’s. He worked in the mines in Schuylkill County, probably Gilberton.
Dangerous job above and below.
load coal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pennsylvania not P... lanvia..!
Thank you, Marir.
Hi Brad
My grandfather,my father,my brother and uncles were coal miners in North France...
All of them are gone at 45 /50 years old due to coal dust ( silicosis ),...!
.
Please accept my condolences, Mirir. Do you live in France? With President Trump attempting to generate jobs in the coal mining industry, coal mining is much in the news of late in the United States.
Hi Brad,thanks for your condolences
I live in Paris ,in France last deep coal mine closed in 2004,because we can't compete but it's very sad..
Dole not coal..like in UK.I hope your President will keep the promises to generate jobs ,probably in West Virginia,PA and Kentucky mainly in coal industry..
Wait & see
Daniel
@@enthalpiaentropia7804 Coal is dead. The Trumpturd simply lies to the coal miners because he wants their votes and they're too desperate to admit to themselves that he's a liar and a con man. Sorry for your losses. My grandfather died in a coal mine, so I know how that is. :(
MAGA
Liberty Rising
Yep....this is the same bullshit job from the pit of Hell Trump and the right are "fighting for" in 2018.
Good luck America!
Yup, this is one of the Trumpturd's favorite lies--that coal is the future! LOL And the MAGAts believe him! They couldn't be more stupid.
