Thanks for sharing! I have no desire to be underground so it was cool to see through your eyes. I can't imagine working in there!

Yes! Must have been pretty scary in the dark with only a tiny little light, and facing all the dangers. It was a fun tour to check out, though.

I think the older i get the more claustrophobic i am becoming. I can honestly say that I really could not see myself going on a tour of a coal mine. At least it was well lit. Places like this just seem to remind me of the high value i have placed on breathing in the last year lol. It was an interesting video and thanks for bringing me along this time. I literally would have wanted to drag an oxygen tank or two with me if I went down there. I suppose I would have to share with you and the missus if things got difficult. .lol

You're not the only one. I know a few people who would not be comfortable down there. It was fine during the tour, but during actual mining, mostly in the dark, and with all the dangers? Would have been pretty scary.

Amazing when you think about how labor intensive and dangerous it is to retrieve energy products like coal, oil natural gas, or even uranium from the Earth in order for us to get by. it really gives one pause to think about the sacrifices the minors made/make every day. One of my son's best friends is currently a coal minor and it is hard for me to understand how he does it. I suppose that if you lived in these area and were unable to get out through education or opportunity else where this is simply what you did from the time you began working until the day you retired.

Every morning at the mine you could see him arrive he stood 6'6" weighed 245 kinda broad at the shoulder and narrow at the hip and everybody knew ya didn't give no lip to big john
There's also a third type of gas that was down there... assithane...the gas that was generated when someone in the mines had beans for dinner
