21" A Sweet Ride... the most beautiful, most versatile ride cymbal in the game.
I had the 21” A sweet for 15 years... recently switched to the 21” K sweet ride.... no looking back!! Both are awesome though

As a big Blink and Travis fan, I really enjoyed this. He's used so many cymbals over the years, and even now on his current tour he has completely changed it up. With using 15" hats and darker cymbals in general. I think you guys picked a great range that incorporated his overall voice.
For me the 21" sweet ride was a must in emulating his sound. He basically single-handedly pushed that ride more than anyone else.
That Trick kit is beautiful. Even though he has used acrylic kits (and hybrid kits) in the more recent years, it was a very suitable kit to use as it has that dry and punchy sound.
That snare is something else too!

I’d love to see an sound like but it’s the full band covering everything minus the vocals maybe. But like just all together having a full band cover a couple songs and go over the rigs would be sick

For the most part he always uses a 14x6.5 snare, if you want to sound like him get a brass snare to imitate the bell brass he uses , or Guitar center has a cheap OCDP 25 ply snare with vents , put an Emperor X on it and crank it tight ...🤘

That's easy just buy a cheeper set of drums with worn out heads tune them sorta and smash the living piss outta them
jason Ashenden you gotta make sure to use a 16” floor Tom as a rack Tom and tune it up just to smash it into not being tuned anymore

Travis Barker is the reason why I own a sweet ride!
With TB its honestly the ride, hi hats and snare that are key to his sound, and they nailed it in this one.

You can only sound like travis when your as good as travis. This is such a different thing from sounding like Mark Hoppus or Tom Delonge/Matt Skiba

When it comes to snares, its my experiemce that any 100$ snare just won't do.you can cheap our elsewhere on a lot...but never on the snare. Though I do have a oearl sensitone I bought 15 years ago for like 150 and its pretty good.but mostly for snares id try to go with sumthing quality.if u can get it used perfect.otherwise new id go for sumthing in the 250 range

you failed a bit because travis uses 19 and 20 a custom projection crashes, 23 k sweet ride, 16 avesis hihats, 20 oriental china trash and 10 a custom efx splash, he uses 14x6,5 brass snare, and a 22x20 kick drum
and also coated heads on toms and kick, emperor x coated on snare
He kinda tunes his rack tom quite high too

They're using what they've got in the shop... These videos are about emulating the general sound of a drummer, not just googling his current setup and ordering that stuff and putting it up. Plus, Travis probably used tons of different gear over the years on different recordings and tours.

He uses emperor x for the snare and is tuned super high. Cranks the shit out of it. That snare head sounds nothing like his snare. It sounds good but its not tuned to Travis's liking not does it have that marching crack to it. Emperor coated on top for the toms and coated ambassadors on the bottom. Remo powerstroke pro for the bass drum.
