I love your Dad, I lost my parents in an accident when I was a kid and I dream about what my life would have been with a Dad like yours! Keep him safe too! Eric.
The amount of work you do as young as you are is what America is all about! We need more young men and woman like you that are willing to get up and work but sadly we have ppl that wont work bc they don't feel like it.
I always wondered how farms were run just from curiosity and I have to say you do a great job showing everything it takes to get milk from farm to table. Also can't believe how much you know about so much. It's like you're a landscaper, farmer, mechanic, heavy equipment operator and vet tech all in one person!
@@Swan-rb4yg the mothers don't cry for their baby's and there is basically no suffering the cows are inside a barn for 1 and fed like 2 or 3 times a day. The cows lives are made better by farmers. Now get out of here with your vegan ass
Thank you showing your day, I'm glad you can handle highest, as for myself I get light headed, and so glad to see your dad is back working please do not let him over work that shoulder.
I applaud your work and how you know all this. My four year old wanted to know how milk got from cows so I UA-cam it to better explain it to her. Also told her you can hand milk your own long as there’s not that many cows. Thank you for posting and sharing your farm life. Greatly appreciated!!
Eric, The beginning was hilarious. You were talking about the stalls and manure management while in the background, a cow was demonstrating how effectively cattle make manure!
This was very interesting Erik and with so meany different things in it. Its getting to that time of year were the curtains on your shed needs to be working and the antifreeze in the equipment at the right rate. I love your new stalls Erik the cows love them to. Great to see your dad back out beside you working away. Great video
I love this channel. I started watching when we started quarantine. And I had some questions. And this cleared it all up. Thanks for the inspiration. I am going to be a farmer when I'm older!😇
We really like watching you do the chores so please don't think "oh, this is what I do every day, it's got to be boring." It's not what they want to see. We do. I could be watching Netflix if I wanted but I find you and the chores, very interesting and sort of relaxing to me. Thanks a bunch from KS.
I bet the cows start leaking milk as soon as they hear your voice 🐮 a least most of them 😂 I really like these video’s where you explaining everything as you go! We never have had milk cows only everything else 😂 we had beef cows, pigs, chickens, turkeys, ducks, goats and almost every farm animal you can think of! Dairy farming has always interested me, especially farms like yours and Jan’s, you two have restored my faith in dairy’s you both run your Dairy’s the way I think everyone should! I love making my own butter ever since I found a local dairy to supply my milk, cream. Now I want to make my own cheese.
Love the videos. I got half my family watching these and every day they ask me if you have a new video they are going to be excited tonight when we watch this one
Love the video and how thoroughly you explain every thing you do! Would you maybe be able to give us an aerial view of the farm and point out, where all of the buildings are in relation to one another?
I imagine the cows like some semblance of organization in the barn too. The stalls give that. I never experienced premilk with our cows. Maybe they were not heavey milkers. Four cows need bred and you come out with a coolant tester. The audience goes "what?" Good video 10GD. Peace.
Love how the cow pooped while you were explaining why you have them lay a certain way lol. The lift springs on your overhead door may need to be tightened. It helps take the strain off of the opener. I wore my shirt today and it is really well made and I love it. thanks for a super video.
To be fair mate your videos are actually so good you paint a good picture for the dairy industry with how well you look after them keep up the good work bud
A helpful tip to save wear and tear on the defacer. Deface the bottom 3-4 ft of the bunk first then deface the top part. That way your defacer isn’t buried into the fresh pile of silage as you work your way down the face. Keep up the videos I enjoy them
I’m that someone who asked about the stall dividers 😂 thanks for answering my question I was always curious I figured it had something to do with efficiency I just wasn’t sure specifically what it was I love the new ones that you put in!
Loving your channel. Daughter and myself just move to wi. Now we understand what's going on around us. Much respect. Love the relationship you and your dad have. Love watching....
The powered greaser cuts down on RSI and that's its main benefit in my mind. Your point about the absence of feedback you'd have by doing it manually is very true. See ya!
Hi Eric, thanks for the recent vid. Just simply enjoying your daily chores. As a you are working hard. What kind of breakfast, lunch etc. do you eat? We know you love sodas and sweet snacks.
I relly like the way you take care and dont beat your cows like bigger farms i dont like farms over 300 becase they unusually beat there but you are different in a good different Eric you sre one special farmer you make my heart feel like farming is the best thing ever 🐄🐄!!
Thank you for sharing. I live in small town Iowa and my friends are grain and beef farmers. I am fascinated with the difference in dairy farming between you, Kip in Michigan, Tom in the UK and SasDutchkid in Canada. While it is all the same it is also very different.
Great video I am a farmer as well but my uncle sold the cows in 2001 so was not around then to help out with that style of farming so this is really cool to watch someone like you guys and your operation great video keep up the good work
2:10 The Los Angeles cow!!! (562 area code) Also 482 in the front as always...... The internet is crazy, I know about a cow in PA being first in line all the time but I live in Los Angeles lol
Hi eric,we watch all your videos your cows look really good!we are also dairy farmers in the uk.we also have easyfix cubicles in our dry cow shed the cows love them👍
Hi! Love your videos. I am a senior animal sciences student at the University of Missouri and am currently in a dairy production class. I have a question about feeding. Why don't you keep feed at the bunks at all times? I've read that the bunks should always have feed available to keep the cows eating at all times and producing the most possible. Is this an economic decision that you have found benefits your farm in particular or is there another reason? I love your channel and being able to compare the university's farm decisions to what you do. They milk almost exactly the same number of cows you do so it's really a great resource for me!
Eric: How did your office turn out? Did you get it all squared away? Maybe you could show us that in one of your videos. Thanks again for letting us peek inside your life too. Relaxing watching your videos after a long day and helps to unwind.💯👍🏻
The foot wash looks like it works great, love it. The battery operated grease gun seems like it would be handy in hard to reach grease fittings. Just my opinion from using hand pump gun.
Here i am, a 41 year old IT guy from the Netherlands totally fascinated by this young man's work. Don't you just love the internet?

Yes lol he's definitely something special

That foot washer has to be the coolest thing I have every seen
I agree lol
I agree...
You are the one that got me intrested in dairy farming and because of you i work on a dairy farm here in Norway:)
Me as well. I didn't become a farmer, but I am very fascinated with agriculture now, thanks to this channel.

We pay someone to breed our cows for us, sorry bit of a rough transition.

Cleanest farm that I have ever seen. Keep up the great job 🇺🇸
I really like the care you put in your work. These day in the life videos are great keep it Eric.
