One of my earliest memories of Warhammer was reading older White Dwarfs I bvorrowed from a friend's older brother. Those early trolls were pictured a lot in Advanced Heroquest articles back then. Great minis.
Fantastic army, I spent the lockdowns filling in the gaps in my 1980s and 1990s orc and troll collections. Almost time for some painting, the first time this century!
The chap on the chariot ‘pointing’ is Ugezod from Ugezods Mother Crushers. It indeed was a Nick Lund sculpt and has been my general since around 4th Ed. I have a softer spot for his other version in Mighty Ugezods Death Commandos as it was one of the first Orc boxes I picked up in 3rd.
Yes! I forgot about the named regiment of renown. Incidentally the two on the back of the chariot are actually unreleased sculpts and not in the catalogue!
Great stuff, some really wonderful models. Love the old C20 trolls. Sadly I only have the other one - the warrior. He's a bit of a messy figure, but then the same could be said of the Marsh Troll who always seems to end up looking great once he's painted. My favourite is either the Marsh Troll or the Cave Troll, can never make my mind up, but you look to have done a lovely job on the Hill Troll too. I don't know if you mean to, but you sort of imply that it's just the 90s goblins that are Kev Adams ones when in fact other than the Ironclaw figures pretty much all the 80s ones are Kev Adams too. I spotted Maggot in there and am a bit sad to see him relegated to Goblin status though always nice to see him regardless!
Yes that’s true Kev Adams is the goblin master! I think in my head I think of the 80s as Perry twins and Adams together and 90s as pure Adams but I suppose you’re right he did most of the early ones too
@@d6wounds We could ruminate about sizes of fish in sizes of pond or perhaps write 'The Tale of the Ugly Goblin' though I'm not sure if he's ever supposed to 'grow up'.
@@d6woundsFree Maggot! Reunite him with Ruglud! Also you have an orc champion amongst the gobbos. No doubt sneaking about looking for a fat gobbo to eat.
What a beautiful army. You can never have enough Orcs and Goblins.
Pure joy thanks for that amazing Sunday evening viewing. You army looks amazing and lived seeing all the gobbos
Beautiful work. Videos like yours inspired me to start my own orcs and goblins. The entirety of 2025 will be spent as a 12-month “Orctober.”

Good luck with the painting!

I always had Eeza Ugezod and the Mighty Ugezod as ‘relatives’. I also have a smaller non-GW orc by Nick Lund who looks very similar to Eeza.
@@paulsyrahI like that.

Ah yes I think I acquired Maggot as part of a lot before I knew who Ruglud was!

LOVE ❤️ IT !!!
I’m also thinking 2000 might be a little low, but they have to tweak something to tone down the hero hammer aspect of the current meta.
Im not sure, would have to play some more games at higher points. 2000 points takes long enough though!
