A massive explosion rocks the entire ship. And causes a massive shockwave that ripples within the ship. In the rejuvenation center, massive damage causes many to be injured from the blast.
Athena: "I thought we were too far inside to take a laser hit."
Boomer: "We are! That was something else!"
While Boomer and Athena take stock of the damage.they start attending to the wounded members.

I did. It was great. The Sensurround sound system was used. Large amplifier in each corner, aimed at the center of the theater. The floor rumbled, like the Galactica's engines were under the floor. In the theatrical release, Baltar was beheaded.

That was the episode "The Lost Warrior", where Apollo crash lands on the planet Equellus. When Apollo goes to town, it's like a wild West atmosphere. The Cylon named "Red Eye" thinks that LaCerta (the town boss) is the Imperious Leader. LaCerta resembles Boss Hogg in that white hat and suit. Loved it when Apollo smoked Red Eye in that duel.

One thing I always loved about this episode was that there was two NEW spaceship model scenes, and not just recycling of the same old ones (though they were in this episode as well.
    1) @2:34 When the Cyclon Raider was turning in front of the Galactica to make its suicide run on the bridge.
    2) @3:30 When the Cyclon Raider suicide runs into the landing bay.
First time either of those model scenes were shown.

I was 17 when this hit the airwaves. Liked the show, the characters, the space saga story, the Egyptian style helmets, guess they where hinting at that their ancestors visited earth in ancient times. It was pretty wild how the viper would shoot out of the launch tube with that very extremely loooong exhaust flume. Thought it was going to burn all of its fuel up. Prob. a lot of guys back then fantasized about meeting and hooking up with Sheba ( Anne Lockhart ), me included. Oh well I guess a lonely boy can dream. In 1980 I even bought one of those fake knockoff colonial warrior jackets( but didn't know it at the time) from the back of Starlog magazine I believe. When it arrived it was med thick cotton and drab olive green, NOT brown like the TV show. And it lost it's shape after 2 or 3 machine washings ! Yeah my family and I used to watch and enjoy this show in it's first and only season 78'-79'. I specifically remember the episode were they were down on a ice planet to destroy a Cylon super weapon and avoid being detected by those chrome headed toasters. it was a nail biting 2 parter I believe.Yeah those were some fond memories. Wish I could go to Comic Con or a convention and meet the rest of the surviving cast.

How the times goes by, must be 44 yrs now when i watch this in cinema. Yes, following the big success of Star Wars everybody wants to make money with this SciFi, like Star Trek the Movie, Disneys the Black hole and this...
They glued three episodes from TV together and brings that in theatres, 1. Battlestar Galactice and 2. Attack of the Cylons, in Sensorround sound system. The TV show wasnt here in german TV that time.
my friend and i were so impressed about (14 yrs old) and ordered the Soundtrack (record)...
Today i am shocked how cheap it looks, i mean the stages, clothes, the cheap TV acting...only the SFX are great, but for to save money they used the space fights and explosions ever and ever again, repeat for repeat. And i never understand why the helmets have so many lamps INSIDE.
My wife loves Star Wars and all that stuff but when BG was in TV last year here we tried to watch but...naa, impossible. One episode and we were off.

Always wondered why in most SciFi movies and series they place the bridge of the large ships in such a vulnerable location when there are cameras and screens and in space direct visual is of very limited use anyway and you'd mostly rely on various sensors.
Even on WW2 battleships the actual command center is buried deep within the heavily armored citadel and the exposed bridge is mostly used when not in combat so why would a spaceship from future have an unprotected bridge with huge windows sticking out just begging to be blown to pieces?.
