    I have yet to blood my 2 Daiwa Double Clutch 95cm lures. It is only a matter of time. My wife now asks what I expect to catch- "Donuts!" It has been a long time since I disappointed her. The weather has been an impediment to kayak fishing. Did not attempt it at the weekend (wet & windy) & next weekend forecast is for more wet weather. Wait & see. I liked your video & hope to also catch a pan size Flathead in the near future.

      Haha literally bring home some donuts - everyone would be happy! But yeah the 95mm double clutch is a great all round, versatile lure. Give it a go! Thanks for watching and leaving a comment 😊

      Haha thanks man. It was a on the spot quick review. So didn't have any prepared notes or anything. I did leave alot of important information like lure weight, etc.. it's approximately 20grams - so you can give a good cast out (especially with the wind). Thanks for watching and leaving a comment 😊

    Great video Jason very informative! I've not had much luck either up here on the sunshine coast..... I'm quite new to soft plastics and lures! It's quite disheartening not getting regular hookups. I hope to see you up this way so I can rack your brain on what I might be doing wrong 😂 cheers mate keep up the great work!

      Hey mate, thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Where on the Sunny Coast do you live? There are so many better fishing spots up there than Brissy. What soft plastics are you using? Make sure you say g'day if you spot me out! Cheers 😊

      I'm just near bokarina pal, but work in noosa so I try and hit everywhere in between..... Well when I have the time that is. I've just started on the cheap plastics which is probably one of my issues normally use a paddle tail or grub but last session went with a shad and had no love what so ever! As I said very new so will persevere. I haven't been using any scent in your opinion would you say that is a major game changer? Absolutely mate I'll certainly say Gday if I see you around! Cheers Phil

    • @ImJasonFish
      @ImJasonFish  3 роки тому +1

      Hey Phil, keep at it mate. Keep being persistent with the lures. Sometimes I go hitless session after session. But it ends up being worth it when you catch a fish. Plus using bait is too easy 😆 But yeah grab a packet of Zman slim swims 3" in Motoroil colour and see how that goes for you. You don't need scent, but it can help a bit and it doesn't hurt. If it means having that extra hookup time with a good fish, go for it - try it out 👍

    You should totally do some cooking videos! I usually batter mine in flour egg and salt. But good to get some more recipes 😊

      @@ImJasonFish you should get your mum and sister to do some fish cooking videos (seriously). I bet people would love it. People are so busy now a days they would love to have some more fish recipe options, and showing how to cook them. Have a think about it 👍

    Any reason why you went out in the afternoon Jason (apart from the tide obviously)? I usually try to plan sessions around sunrise or sunset rather than during the day.

    • @ImJasonFish
      @ImJasonFish  3 роки тому +1

      Hey mate, great to hear from you. This session was in the afternoon starting around 3pm straight after work. I go fishing whenever I have free time, the tides and wind are the right conditions. I don't really pay attention to moon and bite times. Thanks for leaving a comment and watching 😊

      @@ImJasonFish I was using a little Fuse 80mm oriole in green and white on a 1/4 oz 2/0 head, my stepson got a heap of them for 1$ a packet, they have a great action , i have great results using plastics that are white or part white, that good fish you saw bite me off went through 16lb leader.
