Goering had a car with a V-16 engine, that came out of a Zeppelin airship. I saw the car, about 50 years ago, at a place called "Cars of the Stars," in Buena Park, California. In another part of the same building, was the "Planes of Fame," which included a beautiful Me-262, painted in camo. He drove a 2-seater sports car, around Berlin, all the time.
Freimopp777 As I recall, the car had an open top for the driver/chauffeur and was completely enclosed for the passenger/s. The hood was so long, it looked like airplanes could be launched and recovered thereon. It wouldn't be a problem to "stretch" the front end, just a few feet, to enclose the Zeppelin engine.

Freimopp777 It was similar to this one, but it wasn't a convertible; it was fully enclosed in the passenger area, and fully open in the driver's area, except for the doors and windows. The hood was, as expected, longer.
theoriginalbadbob Interesting, but it was a mercedes? I searched a while on google but i couldnt find a car what belonged to goering, had this size and a v16 engine. Watching the way suves grow in popularity and size, i wouldn't be shocked to see some sort of resemblance between this car and a future one... But we won't see engines like the one in the 770k again! it sounds like a tank!

Starting with 5:40 we have a great view!It looks incredibly epic: it's very cinematographic. That is just a great shot. I'm no cinematographer, but that is a money shot right there...also its like a throwback scene to The Car(1977) aka La macchina nera
There have been several exclusive and expensive american makes which could cope well with european cars of that era : Cadillac ( V 8 + V12 ), Auburn,Cord,Duesenberg ,Pierce-Arrow,etc.!
@omenakakku-ek8sz If it's still completely original and hasn't had the ignition and timing upgraded, It's a chore.. Drove a 29 Cadillac a few times and it definitely took a bit to understand and finesse it. After that was when I truly understood why back then they had drivers.. Especially pulling those winding hills in Berchtesgaden up to the Obersalzberg and Berghof site.. I drove a standard up that mountain road up to the Zum turken and even in a modern vehicle it was tricky. AndnIve got an American CDL.. The roads are so winding and narrow and you meet a bus that's coming down the hill, it definitely can make your arse take a bite out of the seat.. Great experience though.
War is wonderful isn't it, full of interesting cars, planes, guns and people. It gives you a possibility to exercise in nice surroundings and breath fresh air.
Those cars are so cool and they should bring back the German uniforms or 1930s and 1940s those uniforms are so cool too it’s time to make Germany great again
As the son of a WWII vet who fought his way across France, I can't think of anything less thrilling than a re-enactment of folks who engaged in mass murder. Just impressive.
I love the pomp and ceremony of the 1930's German military. This reenactment brings a little prideful tear in my eye.
Timotheus157 They should bring back the German uniforms of the 1930s in the 1940s those uniforms were so cool looking and awesome

German cars of that era were so far ahead of American cars it's not even funny.
Operation Paperclip solved it

As a son of a German WWII veteran the pro-Nazi comments here make me sick. What a beautiful car in very bad time. God bless and keep peace.
Why are veterans always such sensitive snowflakes? I say fuck the troops. How do you like them apples?
