I spent my early childhood with this car. The W153 of my grandparents (same colour with beige leather interior) had been meticulously maintained and saved from the Nazis during the 2nd World War and hidden from the USA occupying forces, who would otherwise certainly have stolen it, as was usual with private cars. In the middle of the 1950s it had to make way for a W180, ... which from today's point of view was an unbelievable stupidity!
10 Lt. Diesel /100 Km., ebenfalls mit Pullmankarosse.
@@michaelmeliambro5117 Dude why do you hate old cars? From seeing your recent comments, you don't like a lot of the old cars featured on this channel. This looks great and I honestly don't know why you think it is rubbish. It is beautiful
It's a nice car. Its design is pretty simple and pure. Its affordability is reasonable. It seems like an easy car to drive. The colour is okay. Although I like it, I prefer black or red. I like it though.
The pricing around today would be expensive. But, at the time that this car was out in the late 1930's and 1940's, the Mercedes Benz W153 230 models were affordable, mass produced cars. And this Mercedes Benz series was one of the first mass produced cars in Deutschland. There were even some of these cars remaining in the DDR and in Poland well into the 1960's. They can last a long time if you take good care of it.
This has got to be one of the most strikingly timeless cars from 1939 - exquisite taste!!
Yeah 😍
Thank you for uploading!!!
Oldtimer Mercedes-Benz cars are the best, and they do not like electric and plastic scrap which produces now. Best regards from Azerbaijan.
so quiet and smooth...

What a fantastic&alluring car. Thx for making this awesome&ravishing video.
Very thin A and B posts and the door glass is almost flush with the outside of the door. Other carmakers didn’t do that until the nineties!
There were some beautiful cars from the 1930s.

Why should ANYONE think to take care of it???? It's such a piece of sh*t that it's not worth wasting anyone's time.
