Hello, my name is Clarence, and I am a 2+ year stroke survivor with aphasia. Your videos are very inspirational especially for younger survivors. I viewed your entire video collection yesterday, and you have made tremendous strides in your recovery. You give hope to all those who are in the process of recovery. Thank you!

I stumbled across Sarah and her Mum while studying neuropsychology, have watched all the videos, and am so impressed with the love, patience, and encouragement within this family, and by Sarah's strength, kindness, and tenacity. Thank you so much for sharing, and all the best as you continue to regain your communication skills. I think you will have allowed many other people with aphasia, and their family and friends, to better understand the condition, have more compassion, feel less isolated and more a part of a community, encouraged to seek social support, and know how better ways to communicate with someone with aphasia. Keep going, you are doing so wonderfully well!! Jasmin xxx

It's really admirable how full of life and how positive, confident, joyful and resolute she is in her battle with aphasia!
My grandfather (RIP) had three strokes in total over the course of a decade. Unfortunately, he was deteriorating after each attack both physically and mentally.
The last insult left him almost 100% unable to speak (vocabulary of just a few words), eat, drink, or take any care of himself or his needs. He couldn't walk by himself (he would lose balance and fall), was always choking on any kind of food or drink, could not chew without spilling, had to be assisted with every bathroom activity, and his verbal communication was mostly reduced to crying. One time he fell and had this huge hematoma on his face, looking as if punched by Mike Tyson.
He spend three years in this state, before succumbing to his illness. He witnessed the death of his son from a car accident in this period, and cried a lot.
Anyway, after what I've witnessed in my family, it's absolutely astonishing to see such a recovery! I admire your courage to speak openly about, and not being ashamed by these difficulties. Sarrah's also very beautiful! :) I am absolutely sure she has an amazing and wholesome future ahead of her!
    Bless you!

Hi there! I am currently a student who is going to school to be an SLP. I have a client right now who suffers from aphasia and I've been talking to her about self-advocacy, telling people about aphasia, what could help her communicate better, etc. I was wondering if maybe Sarah would be willing to produce a video about being confident, teaching people about aphasia, teaching others about how she communicates best, not to lose hope, continuing to get better even 6+ years post stroke, etc. I've been looking online and I haven't come across much to share with my client about these things and I feel that Sarah would explain it flawlessly. Thanks!!
