Nice selection of Bikes. I have a Bianchi SL road bike which is over twenty years old still in good condition. Used as my winter bike nowadays, never let me down, built to last.😀
Having had both a Brompton and a Dahon Eco (and a custom gravel), really recommend a Brompton. It's unbeatable when riding in city surroundings. So much fun. Specially when overtaking road bikes 😆. They get furious.
Japan's love for Bianchi is super crazy. Those are super expensive bikes❤️❤️❤️. I finally got myself a Colnago CLX after a long wait. Unfortunately we went into another lockdown in India..😭😭. Thanks for another great video.
I would love to travel back to Japan and visit a Bianchi dealer there. I’m currently in the Philippines. I own two Bianchi bicycles and was a bike mechanic at a Bianchi dealer in Las Vegas. We used to look forward to seeing what was debuted in Japan as it gave us an idea what Bianchi USA would be getting as Japan usually had that model year bikes before the US. I was stationed in Sasebo when I was in the Navy, but I had a Pinarello that I brought with me.
They are still made in low cost Chinese factories though. Check out fuji-ta factory videos on youtube. You'll see Bianchi shown on the factory floor. It's not about what something costs to make its what people are willing to pay. Why sell at $500 if someone will pay $1000.
@@RudyGunawanSG of course if you compare bianchi to them they will be more expensive. Those are like the top tier brands. But still, bianchi is still relatively expensive.
Bianchi is just as prestigious, if not more so than the other two brands. They’re all made in taiwan/china/vietnam so i fail to see why onr would bianchi is any lesser.
My wife and I have Tern folders. Take them to VN (Hanoi, HCMC, DaNang\Hoi An) when we go over. Both pack into standard sized suitcases and make travel super convenient. Mine is standard 7 speed shifting. Her's is internal hub shifting. Looked at Brompton as well, but cost difference and how little we use the bikes during any year didn't make sense. Very pleased with Tern quality.
The Bianchi bikes looked cool and all but the color on those Trek bikes oh my. Trek has some good colors. I liked the Heaven and Hell and the red one. Great video.
I'm seriously considering shifting to gravel bikes from mountain bike. Those Cervelo bikes look awesome, but then the Bianchi bikes makes me want to go back to road riding. Too many choices to make, haha!
I personally like all the bikes there, love the unique color of bianchi, I noticed the trek bikes were in a room that appears to be a bank safe with the large doors...
A big hello to you both. You are very fortunate to live in Nagoya where they have humongous bike shops. The biggest like shop here where I live will fit inside the Bianchi section with lots of space to spare. They are a joke. Love your tour. I’m sooo jealous 😂. Take care.
Me, too. I was wondering, (Cruise may or may not know) can you get larger frames on Okinawa? FYI I have a road bike, a KHS Flite 747, size XXL (65cm). It's manufactured in Taiwan, but probably not available in Japan.
@@ronpierson3725 I am 6' 5" (down from 6'7" when I was a gaijin USAF sergeant). Yes, I need such a large frame. When I was on Okinawa the biggest frame I found was 25 inches (roughly 60cm?). when I got back to the States I picked up a 27 in. (68cm) Panasonic... and the rest is history. (ancient history ;-)
Another good bike shop tour video, thank you Andy and Thuong Phan. With some of those discounted prices it would be tempting to start an buyers representative business. t would fill the void of current shortages elsewhere in those sizes.
I love your bike shop tour videos, thank you for uploading another one. You can buy an electric Brompton easily here in the UK, but the non-electric ones are like gold dust still; sold out everywhere.
@@TwoWheelCruise Yes, not surprised. I don't know what the wait is here in the UK, but I wouldn't want to hold my breath until one arrived! I'm looking at the e-Brompton currently, but the price is making me twitch a bit! lol I need something I can throw in the back of the car easily and something that can also manage hills; some of them long and/or steep, the e-Brompton seems to tick all the boxes.
Woa they had stock! Here in NA there's a bike craze since covid started and I haven't seen a shop with so many available bikes on the floor anywhere since this pandemic started. They're all sold out and you need to pre-order for Fall for most models. Sometimes you do find some bikes in stock but no way they're going to have a sale here with this cycling frenzy, everything just gets sold in a few days.
Bianchi minivelo looks cool!! i hope i can see more minivelo on other stores too. for folding bike i think its better to find the one that can fold like brompton, because it will be easier to carry without the bike bag.
That must be a super light version Brompton. Made of titanium, and they switched out original parts for third party made titanium parts which made the bike even lighter. I was lucky enough to get a black one in stock a few weeks ago in Canada, and it is awesome. Thương, you gonna get one!. I dont know if you guys have seen this color before but I think Thương would totally love the Flame Lacquer or the Turkish Green Black Edition Brompton. Check it out!
Don't give Thương the idea. Cruise is going to be broke. Good thing Thương doesn't know English that well to understand what's all this, right, Cruise? 😉
Nice new camera! I want a gravel bike, I already own a Dahon Boardwalk D7, a GT Transeo 3.0 Hybrid, a Miyata Folio 700c folding bike and a Maruishi PaPa Frackers (papachari). But if Im looking for simplicity, I would pick a single speed from the underground bike shop you showed on your other video.
You would have thought in Japan they would have had bikes with non Campag group sets. I hear they are starting to make their own group sets. It's a cottage industry at the moment, I think they call it Shmonu or something.

Did Sayaka ever buy her Bianchi road bike or future riding videos with her. It's been awhile. Wish we had large, amazing bike shops like that here in Detroit. Thanks for sharing great content!
Cruise, I found a shop in Da Nang (bike street to be more accurate) where you can buy expensive bikes for a bargain. A friend of mine got a Canyon bike which costs around 1.5k USD for 800. It was packed in original box. No warranty of course. They have Domane SL, Scott, and many other bikes. Not sure how they get it, and they are not fake either. Most have the bar code removed, so not sure if they are stolen bikes :)
@@TwoWheelCruise they have been here for years, only now I discovered them. They are really messy shops with kids bike displayed outside so I never checked them before. They had Domane SL5 and other bikes :)
The carbon brompton should be a custom carbon finish on brompton frame.. there actually a company that did that customization called carbondryjapan you can check them out... If its actually carbon then Chedech but those look more like carbon frames and dont follow the tube style...
Im planning on staying in Japan for 6 months and gonna need a bike. I want to buy a bike there for commuting and a few longer trips (like Shimanami Kaido) and then take it back with me as a souvenir. Are there any special Japanese brands I should look out for? I want it to have good quality and it should be made in Japan or at least be a popular Japanese brand. I am happy about any suggestions!
That is a huge shop, but U.K. stores to shame. Also, we have very little of any bike stock in the U.K. maybe I should try ordering from this store? Do they do a English translator? 👍👍😊😊
Hi Two Wheel Cruise! I watched all of your Bike Shop Tour uploads! Any tips on how can I order a bike there in Japan and ship it here in the Philippines? :)
Yes Giant and Merida are actual manufacturers and often do stunning bikes at very decent pricing. Bianchi, Cannondale, Trek, Specialized they don't make anything they are just brands that buy from different factories often with a price premium. Not the brands to buy if you like maximum value and are a bit of cheap skate.
