Your LBS should be the best bike shop FOR YOU. If you’re not on at least nodding terms with the owner, then you’re really not a proper cyclist. In a perfect world you should get the majority of your spares and parts from them. Local bike shops are dying because of the internet. Please help them out. That said, Wolfi’s is my local bike shop when I’m at work and I really can’t afford to go in there too often!
The best bike shop ever? The one near my apartment. 😉 Racer Sportif here in Toronto has great products, friendly staff and know me by name. I like that.
It's pretty cool, but it looks more like a museum than a bike shop. Lots of bikes, but not many people. I prefer my bike shops smaller, more intimate and a bit more people-oriented.
Having just bought a bike from there, I can see it is an excellent bike shop! Probably world leading in its segment and the staff are very knowledgeable and in the local bike community which helps. This is also a market where the Merc G63 is the equivalent of a Ford Fiesta or Toyota Camry. So horses for courses! Buying a car from Park Lane in London isn’t the same as other places either. Wolfies also has helped me on small bits for previous bikes with no charge and help, so they do deliver on the LBS touch points. You also can’t compare UAE prices with other parts of the world, as it just doesn’t work. Although, bikes are comparable to EU prices (FX depending). If you get chance go! Cycle track is epic just watch the heat in summer!
Not sure if the internet spoils things but I’d love to see an actually well stocked bike shop. No matter how large it’s always about 10 different tyres, saddles or wheels and everything on order. Meanwhile just lines of a few bike brands they choose to stock. I get why, and overheads and dead stock will kill a store but yeah - we’ve kinda moved on haven’t we? There’s a reason a good car mechanic isn’t the same thing a car showroom and this just shows exactly the wrong side of things.
Our Dubai store is still located on SZR and is celebrating 20 years this year! The store featured is our newly opened branch on Al Hudayriyat Island, Abu Dhabi.
Went in there last month. Thought a new saddle was needed. Nearly fainted when i saw the prices. Best to wait till I get home. The Al Hudariyat track is excellent though, and free! The bridge over to the island is the nearest thing to a hill out here too.
There is no such thing as a best bike shop as you can never get what you want in all bike shops! There is so much choice of bikes, parts, and clothing, that no one stocks it all! When I was younger, shops had some Campagnolo, but no one stocks any, anymore. They also don't stock brands that are not available in the UK. I have to go abroad for my clothing/shoes, etc, as not available here! Santini does not sell bigger than 3XL in the UK(I take 4XL/5XL!), and Italian-made Vittoria carbon shoes are not sold in UK!
Hi Craig, many thanks for the great comment! Check out more about us in the video description above! It would be brilliant to have you in-store and experience it yourself soon.
Thanks so much for the tour, enjoyed it a lot. What a beautiful shop. It's the people running the bike shop that determine whether it's "best." So to go along with everything else, hopefully Wolfi's has an amazingly helpful and expert team that can take care of whatever you need.
Thanks, Jim, we have passionate staff members from all disciplines in the cycling industry that are always keen to share their knowledge with fellow cyclists!
I don't like those that go hard on upselling. The one I worked at previously actually encourages us to do this. During my first year or so, I admittedly naively did that (well, it's my first job), but as time went by, I became, let's say, more rebellious. I learned more about the products they sell, one of which is their in-house brand, which actually contains outsourced Chinese products slapped with their logo on them. One of them is a shoe with no real quality with a price that's a few times higher than what it's actually worth. Any customer that's looking at this shoe, I advised them they're better off with something like Shimano, which I think even their most affordable models can best it. It looks bad for the company, but I'd rather win customers' hearts. This is one of my ways I keep things real.
Highend bike boutique/Store,if i was a rich man,that was my dream,to have a multibrand road bike shop,with everything inside,gym,restaurant,nutrition,equipments,etc.

no prices? cycling is becoming as expensive as running a car. When you add the price of a bike, clothing for riding in summer and winter, chains, tyres, brake pads etc it adds up to a small fortune.
Glad to know I'm not the only one with this opinion. Even the last shop I worked at doesn't feel like a true bike shop and being situated in an area resided by the rich doesn't help one bit too.
Nah, not even close to the best bike shop ever. Not a single full custom manufacturer (I know Colnago does custom geo, but not many). Very few brands, too.
Top of a list bike shop requirement's is not cake and coffee. For myself is great service and helpful and good advice. I think Manon you need to go to a cafi.
For me, it's one with a proper workshop with real quality tools based on the input of real mechanics, not just one with everything Park Tool. The last shop I worked at (which is supposedly high-end), all their hex wrenches are made out of soft China-made chrome vanadium. After being fed up about it, I bought myself a Bondhus set. Though pricey for a set of hex wrenches, it became one of my best purchases ever that I don't regret. I'm more of a tool nerd than any of my ex-colleagues.
Since Manon asks, I should say that place has got just about nothing I'm looking for in a bike shop. What's the chance of getting a spare jockey wheel for my 1984 Suntour derailleur at Wolfi's? None. The best shops have broken cardboard boxes overflowing with knackered old bike bits you can pillage and offer you a bit of discount because you're a keen rider and honest geezer.
You never know! They had some great vintage and rare bikes 👀 That's the beauty of bike shops! There is one for every taste 🙌 Do you want to shout out your favourite shop?
@@gcntechFwiw my favourite shop is Cicli Scavezzon in Mirano, Italy. This is no boutique, the place is heaving with bikes. They've got the 12,000 euro Italian stallions if that's your bag but you can wheel a bike out of there for a 1000 clams. Don't know what stem size you need? Take home three, try 'em all out and bring back the ones you don't want. And they have a little room at the back with the overflowing boxes of old bike parts. Enter into their good books and you'll get to rummage around for that elusive jockey wheel. And they do coffee. Italian coffee.

Very cool bike shop if you close one eye and ignore the petro-dollars and the rest that makes such a bike shop possible. What‘s missing? A women‘s group ride? A group ride where you are accepted no matter how expensive your bike is for example. And I would like to run the ultimate test: Do they have the spare batteries for the Garmin power pedals? I'd never put a foot in such a bike shop. And am sure they weren't targeting me when they opened this bike shop XD
Dubai targets everybody
If you like PNS, ride in groups of 40 around town and put everything on Instagram then this place is for you
Great spot I was there last year. The track is light so evening cycles are great. A bit cooler. The salads are great at the Colnago experience. I've a C60 myself.
Such an amazing store, those bikes are just mind-blowing. Such history, its soo cool.
Hi Brendan, many thanks for the lovely comment and check more about us in the video description above!
I visited the shop this week. It is as amazing as Manon reviewed it. And yes, the coffee was amazing as are the facilities and bikes.

@@joshualawless8939 Awesome thanks ;) om gonna grab some of those :)
2:22 that looks more like one of Ollie's chemistry experiments than a coffee cup.
Please reply author. Is this really all to looking for a bike shop? Really?
How about a great bike for 2-4k AED?
best bike shop it's only bike shop with lot of money for you ? ridiculous
if you understand something it's more than big investor
Sure, if all you are after is a bike, it looks fine. If you go to Decathlon though, you can also get yourself a canoe. Does Wolfi's sell canoes?
Just missing a velodrome!
Coming soon 😊
My message to some bike shops: STOP STRIPPING SCREW HEADS!!!!!!
Truly an amazing shop to be in, whether spending money or not. First time I stepped in the Wolfi’s store in Dubai it was phenomenal, I’d never seen such a nice range and collection of the worlds best cycling brands and products in one place
Dear Nathan, thank you for your nice comments about Wolfi's. We are so happy that we had the opportunity to help to develop Cycling in this part of the World. Is amazing to see how the passion for the sport has been growing year after year. Please join us on one of our many weekly community rides take care Happy Cycling Wolfi and Team ♣🇦🇪☀🚲🐺
The best bike shops are about bikes and riders. This place is about neither, it’s about gross oil money wanting attention.
Along with the Supercar shops everything in Dubai is fantasy.
It's got everything money can buy and absolutely nothing money can't buy. Uncool.
😍
Hi Ali, many thanks for the lovely emoji! Check out more about us in the video description above!
This shop has everything.. except customers. And half of it is a museum.
Coffee and cake have never been in a usa bike shop, interesting
They're obviously catering for Tom Pidcock! 🙂
As blingy as it gets ;-) Super bikes at there best. Lovely !
(even The Service Course in Girona failed here)
Not sure about the Garmin Batteries but rest is there :-)
Sure they have all these things
Can you actually buy a bike Didn’t see any customers hanging around
That's sweet bike shop wow ..
