Wow! The double tap on sharps and flats in mind blowing. Connecting their place in the scale with something that's viscerally obvious is a game changer for me. THANK YOU!
Once we discipline ourselves by this video and getting it right by sticking to it soon we will learn all of our skills by heart
Thank you Gracie
Absolutely amazing job
Gracie, that was so much fun, can you please do this with more scales ⚖ 💖
I will try! any scale requests?
@@GracieTerzian Dorian or harmonic minor. 💛💛💛

This is great, but could you do one on extended chords, like 9th, 11th and 13th s?
this seems interesting and effective, but i have very little training, what comes before this? :)

How do U determine the one to delete
It’s just random!
Personally, it's helpful to see a comprehensive roadmap 4 Me to navigate. I'll be writing these families down(can't hurt)for a better review.@@GracieTerzian
Suggestion... Flash cards that students can print and cut to make a stack of "what do get when you flat the fifth for a 1,3,5" or "flat the third of an 8 note scale" (or octonic, or 2+8 scale or 4+8 ... the names are not as imporant as the skill) ( or what if you 3rd the flat???!!)
From your lessons, I'm guessing you're teaching students about 8 yrs old? (damn ... I'm still 8???)
There are sites on the internet where you can just print blank sheet music and have your students print it out ( cuz they like printing stuff ) and filling in a major or a minor scale. (It's not coloring! )
Tell them Title this "A Smarquat in C minor". And do 5 odd minors. where they define their root note relative to a C maj.
You can even create your own staffs with a "name this note". Why? because the more stuff you have on the internet... the more you win. And use silly names... It's not just fun to use silly names, because eventually they'll have to do math.
I didn't understand how we determine what to delete
Hello Gracie I'm interested in some lessons for my son with you can you provide an email so we can communicate more about this and do you have piano lessons as well
