Wow, it looks like all these incredibly positive comments go on for miles! And after watching this, I understand why ... you're a fantastic teacher and know how to explain difficult concepts with great clarity. About the only thing I could add is that with no music background I purchased my first dobro at age 70. It's been challenging, but now at 75 I'm able to play about 15 or 20 tunes. But I could never understand much theory or the Circle of 5ths. Finally this weekend I just decided that I had to somehow figure it out if I wanted to advance much further. I accidentally stumbled onto your site and it was eye-opening. I've been glued to my screen watching and taking notes. Thank you so much!!! I've watched two of your circle videos so far, and can't wait to get into minor keys, diatonic chords, etc. You've helped me rediscover the magic of playing music! Thank you so much!!!!!!

You're an amazing teacher. I'm 77 and new to the piano keyboard. I've learnt more from you than many other teachers. You have a simple to understand way of explaining things! TY!

I have watched dozens of videos about this with not good results.. All I got from it was a bague understanding of it. No one explained it with such an ease and understanding like you. You are a brilliant teacher. I'm happy I found you. Thank you! Keep up the good work.

As a guitar teacher myself I give you 10 Thumbs UP! Thank you for your clear, concise explanations of theory! You're the best on YT. I sent your Circle of 5ths video to my student earlier today along with the chart I have. I will send him this video as well. And some money to you too.. everyone here>> send Gracie some cash!

Why does noone mention that the new sharps are the 7th note in the key so subtract one, before G is F, before D is C etc? And the new flats are the 4th note of the key. That's the easiest way, 🤔 except you still gotta learn about beads like some hippy.

I'm one of those drummers who also has some great ideas for songs. The things I've been doing on my keyboard are FINALLY starting to make sense thanks to you! Thank you so much! I'll be joining your Patreon... can't do it now, but I will soon!

Hi Gracie, Gerald here again. I'm a self taught bass player with no music theory back ground. I played with a guitar player Noah Nihau from Hawaii who first introduced me to circle of fifths he didn't really explain it to me in detail but suggested I learn it and now I'm learning it with you thank you! His playing was very creative, I'm sure the circle of fifths had a lot to do with it, that's what I want. He has since passed away and I miss him and his playing..😔

Thank you for the additional visual of showing the C-G note relationships/distances on the keyboard, that was very helpful!
I am a beginner to music and music theory, and as a visual + auditory learner would also like to know WHY certain note relationships sound well together. I will definitely be watching your other music theory videos. Thank you!

I’ve just stumbled across this and it’s the only explanation that makes sense. I’ve just got back into playing the piano and struggling with this but it’s starting to make sense. You’re the only person who differentiates between, “here’s a pattern,“ and “You just need to find a way to remember this.” Hopefully the penny will drop when I can apply this. Many thanks. I’ll definitely check out your other videos. I do feel some teachers enjoy making this as complicated as possible. That’s why these videos are great.
