- I love a tutorial that came about because of recovery. This special Easter Egger chick was suffering from wry neck and was in the weeds when I found her.
In only a matter of a day she had bounced by from this scary symptom and now she's back to ruing the roost! - Домашні улюбленці та дикі тварини
Bless her heart, and your wonderful heart. I am so grateful for the things I have been privileged to learn from various UA-cam creators. I am a chicken keeper/lover of less than two years.
Loved watching you protect your little baby. Thank you so much for sharing this. I just got my first 5 Easter eggers. Can't wait for them to be outside with my other girls.
Hatching and raising is so much fun! I wish you nothing but success 😃
Great information! I absolutely love your channel and you helped me hatch all my babies this summer. Thank you so much. 🥰🐣
Wonderful! I’m so glad. Thanks for tuning in!☺️
Fun fact sunflower seeds are the 2nd highest source of Vitamin E in the world. I’ve ran a few lbs through my corn cracker for my lil chicks can’t say it has helped but definitely hasn’t hurt so I’m gonna say it’s helped bc well there really isn’t a better source of Vitamin E 💪🏽🤠
Woah this is amazing!!!!
@@cabincreekhomestead761 found out this week when fermenting chicken feed the sunflower seeds sprout too & all over the yard so I’ll be growing some sunflowers this year lol figured might as well try since it was their idea lol
Wow! What a great video! Poor little thing. Awesome that she’s better now

Did he make it?
Any update 😣
I just hatched my first ever clutch, and while everyone is nice and healthy and active, I noticed a few hours after hatching that one of the babies is constantly looking at the floor and falling onto it's back... After googling a bit, it looks like the poor thing has wry neck. Thank you for the tips, I'll try with the supplements and I really, really hope it'll help. I'll update in my replies in a weeks time! (If I remember to lol)
Bought two chicks a few days ago one died in less than a day and the other one seems super wobbly and often puts her head back in the weird sitting position hopefully I can buy her some vitamins to make her feel better ):
Thank you going through this now with a chick. How do you hand feed them while they are recovering?

I have a Silkie going through this now. Really having a hard time with her
I have been on this Journey with my silkie for months. It does get better but be patient. Mine lives inside and it’s been just fine to help keep him safe
@@christysmith5211did its neck be normal

I still give vitamins . Make sure you have grit available always. Also feed only good food
I give egg and sometimes tuna
Must give vitamin b complex and E with Selinium ( I use goat paste of Amazon in his blueberries)
I’m going through this currently with a half golden laced Polish half showgirl, silky baby that’s about two months old it’s been I don’t know what the word it is pretty terrifying to be honest smdh
@baddogcustoms7496 same, silkie x polish mix. Poor things.only 3 days old n just does flips in the brooder. Like it's tryin to shove its head up its bum or something.
I have a cheken but knee joints swelling..not legs on earth..knee udema treatment plz???
I’m so sorry I’m not able to help in this situation, it’s not something I’m familiar with. I hope you get the answers you need soon!

What to do ...my duck is suffering from wry neck...pls help
Try growing broccoli microgreens!
Do you separate the chicken from the flock?
I do if they are getting trampled!
Yup still panicking 🫤Munchkin I believe has Wry neck. My 1/2 golden laced crested polish 1/2 showgirl silky baby roughly 2 month old she’s 1 of my 3 inside chickens. She tucks her head between her legs & looses balance doing front flips. Walks backwards until she backs herself into a wall & then rolls over & starts a seizure for a short time. I did some research and come to find out Polish breeds and silky breeds. Are most common two breeds to get wry neck and this one is half of each, and it does not seem to be going away. This is the first video that I’ve seen about the start and grow medicated food and that’s exactly what they have been eating. The other two chickens are fine though & twice the size of Munchkin. this happened one day after the exterminator was here spraying. That being said, so I have made some super power water that has adult male multivitamins, a calcium pill. A shot of ACV, a shot of lemon juice, & a gram of cayenne pepper dissolved in a gallon of water. With the lil packets of electrolytes and pre-/probiotics. That I have deemed holy water, because it fixes chickens almost instantly, but this particular case is very short term it heals her instantly for about five minutes and then she’s right back to do the front flips 😢
Any updates? I have the same going on.
@@JonGilGonefishing ya she’s doing a lil better the Poultry Cell liquid added to the water from TSC has definitely helped. 1st dose was with a syringe bottle thingy i pretty much force fed her. & dose was probably a lil high no denying it but she jumped up almost instantly afterwards started eating & drinking even flew out of the container & jumped on my leg & has been singing. So I put normal dosage in a gallon of water & gave all my chickens some. She’s eating & drinking on her own now. Has 1000% more energy but balance is still a lil off but getting better for sure
@@JonGilGonefishing several weeks later well she’s still alive but all of the improvements to her health seem to have dwindled and now she is 80% paralyzed. Nothing seems to be helping anything she can’t even get up now. The last few weeks has been pretty hard to watch her get worse. I don’t want to give up hope because I’ve had a few sick birds, and they have came back and been some of the strongest birds in my flock. This last week, my white crested black, Polish frizzle I named Bob, the miniature bald eagle. I’m assuming got infectious bronchitis & nothing seemed to help, after two or three days with the sniffles. He stopped eating and stopped drinking, and I fed him my holy water through the syringe bottle thing. Which didn’t seem to do anything and sadly he passed away this morning. I’m gonna miss that lil fella
So what is the actual and real treatment ?
Around the 6 minute mark I talk about Poultry Cell and the importance of selenium and other nutrients
@@cabincreekhomestead761 Okay..
@@cabincreekhomestead761okay Can I give B12 injection to my hen ?
❤
Hello, could I ask if the chicken neck bone coming out in front of her body, is this broken neck?
Definitely 🫠
Does this work for baby turkeys too
Sadly I have no experience there but I think the vitamin requirement is the same
It might be wry neck but this video explains that.
Might be 😁
I have a cheken but knee joints swelling..not legs on earth..knee udema treatment plz???
I have a couple thoughts. Is it very cold where you are? Did the chicken stay in snow too long? Frostbite can cause swollen feet, they will look very black and necrotic. It could also be a bacterial infection “bumble foot” that chickens often get on the pad of their feet. They can get bumblefoot anywhere on their leg, it’s causes by bacteria getting in a cut. If that’s the case you should get antibiotics.
Then there’s also arthritis or a few viral diseases, that there may not be a solution for. Unfortunately there’s not many medical options for diagnosis and treatment of chickens 🫤
