I live in the Florida Panhandle on Pensacola Beach. Been having hell. Watched this video, ran to the market and grabbed these exact 3 lures. Reeled em' in ALL morning. Thanks!
Hey, it's jack. I just wanted to say how excellent I think your channel is. It's helped me catch all sorts of fish and tie knots. My birthday is on the 12th. There lots are bait options! It's nice to see your channel grow. Thanks for what you do!
I'm a new Salt Strong member here in the Florida Panhandle. Trying to learn salt water fishing. I fished Bass for 50 years, since I was a kid in MS. I've added these to my arsenal. I've yet to catch a keeper! Great video...! Just getting started!
I've grew up throwing gold Cotee paddletails in the dirty water. The pins seem to get a bit darker of color in the murk and the fish respond to gold in such a case.
I dont own a boat and usually fish in Rockport, Texas. However, I don't have a boat. does your insider club help for people like me looking for places to fish without a boat?
You can join the Insider Club here: www.saltstrong.com/pricing/ When it comes to paddletails and hook sizes, it all depends on the size of the lure. If you're using bigger soft plastics, go with a larger hook. If you're fishing smaller lures, go with a smaller hook. You can learn more about that here: www.saltstrong.com/articles/how-to-match-the-right-jighead-to-soft-plastic-lures/
I have some spoons that have tarnished over the years. I hit them with some super fine grit sand paper (2000+) or a fine grit drywall sanding sponge, polished them again and put clear coat on them. Most of the time they are silver underneath... but I did have one older spoon that it was a bronze/ copper type color. I sanded/ polished that one a decade ago and with the clear coat protecting it, it is still shining bright and catching fish.

I don’t start with Topwater bc it works the best of all lures at early/twilight (mostly early). I start with topwater early and sometimes twilight bc it’s the only time it works well… and I do that bc… well, it’s f’in topwater and it rules.
Thank you for the info.. I am going to try the moon walker and gold spoon.. I use slam shady 2.0 but haven’t landed anything with them. Again I appreciate the great info brother..

Super informative! Thanks for putting out this amazing content! I’m moving to SC in a few weeks so I’m trying to do my homework and this was very helpful! 👌🏼👊🏼🔥
Going to the outer banks in NC in 2 weeks, anyone got tips they wanna share? Decent at freshwater bass fishing, have gear for striped bass fishing too. Seems like I'll need to downsize a lot of my stuff
Use your bass gear for reds and trout in the sounds and creeks. Use the lures Wyatt was talking about in the video and add a popping cork with gulp shrimp to the arsenal. Used to fish round Nags Head every year. The creeks that run through Old Nags Head Cove are fun to fish.... lots of docks. Then fish the main creek mouth during out going tide.
@@CJDM4 thank you very very much for the advice. Question-I have a 9 foot medium heavy surf rod, rated for 1 to 4 oz lures (it's for striped bass fishing) with a 5000 size reel. If I'm mostly gonna be beach fishing and dock fishing, do you think that's overkill? My understanding is that striped bass gear is usually a lot bigger than standard inshore gear
@@billyjin2062 glad to help. We will get back to OBX at some point... loving going to Hilton Head. But I love fishing both places. Oh, don't overlook the piers. Throwing a gotcha for blues and Spanish is a blast.
I absolutely detest treble hooks. Treble hooks should only be used in freshwater. That in itself is a different ball game altogether. We are a class above
I noticed the rust on the hook and split rings, had a similar problem with my moonwalker but with more rust. Had to replace split rings after only a few uses. Yes, of course I rinse all gear after each trip.
If you want to check out the tackle mentioned in this video, you can find it all in our Fishing Tips blog here: bit.ly/3uwAzev

Looks for structure like oysters, points or sea grass that is in current flow and this time of years acess to deeper holes is a plus
Don’t forget to sharpen your spoons. Notoriously dull out of the package.
Great tip!

Great stuff as always... Thanks guys. I will be keeping it simple like this for my trip to Hilton Head Next month.
Have fun!
I’ve gone there for 22 years, fishing in Hilton head recently has been tough!
@@willparton5080 I'm a local tell me about it. So many damn tourists scaring the fish away...😂

How about fishing from beach and jetty. I fish myrtle Beach at the myrtle Beach State park down to the jetty at Huntington Beach State park.
These lures will work in those types of spots! Check out our other content we've got plenty of videos for beaches and jetties!
Going kayak fishing near Charleston today for the first time, I usually fly fish for trout in nc so I don’t know how I’ll do.
Great looking dude! Love it and I live to fish!!!
Exactly what I needed for this summer, now I need a vid for speckled trout
We talked about that in a recent podcast www.saltstrong.com/articles/beginners-guide-to-catching-speckled-trout-in-summer/

@@The3_WaterMan not so much a spray... but you can use Brasso after you sand them.

What size spoon should I use fishing in Sure?
A 1/4 oz. spoon should fit most situations
Like watching Wyatt coach on fishing, especially when he is in the local area were I leave.
