Here’s some answers to some questions you all probably have.
1.) Why is Arthur’s hand shaking? How is he still alive if he has TB?
Arthur’s hands are shaking because in this fan ending Arthur survived his TB but during recovery suffered from a stroke. The reason he’s even coughing in this is because I wanted to empathize he was weak and not in the best of condition. Still couldn’t stop him from beating Micahs ass.
2.) Why does Arthur choose to fight Micah instead of shoot him? Why does Micah fight back?
Arthur at this point can’t reliably shoot a gun with his shaking hands but also wants to inflict as much pain on Micah as possible. Micah fights back because in his scuffle with Sadie he lost both his guns.
3.) Why does the fight go on for so long?
I wanted to have the song playing in the video sync up with the ending. I tried to edit the song so it was shorter but every edit I made was too noticeable so I just decided to fill the entire song with footage.

Sure, Arthur would have ultimately succumbed to his illness, because back then there was no permanent cure for TB, but he could live around a decade more than he did, had he followed the doctor's advice and had Arthur ran away with John in the final 1899 mission. He could have easily gone to Saint Denis, would find Mary Linton and they would start a new, law-abiding life together, until Arthur would die peacfully at his home. Or he could make it to 1907, team up with John, Charles and Sadie and get to Mount Hagen with them for the final stand, the result of which would be this video
Imagine the story like this.
Arthur runs away with john in the end. Micah and Dutch continue with their gang, robbing, killing. Seven years later, Arthur's TB is partially cured (the bacteria is not dominant). He comes back to kill Micah and this fight kicks in.

This has to be one of the most climactic fights I've seen. Really love the fact that it isn't one-sided like I expected it to be.. Micah being able to last that long is what made it so great (even if it isn't realistic)

@@Damian_Vacoon09 well it isn’t that Micah is durable, the real reason as to why Micah lasted for so long was due to how weak tuberculosis had actually made him, which is why we see in the fight between Arthur and Micah at the end of chapter six, we don’t see Arthur give Micah brain damage like he did with Tommy. Micah IS weak but Arthur was too bc of his sickness

Imagine this was some sort of purgatory for Micah after he got shot down in Mount Hagen, Micah would spend his after life fighting the man he swore he killed. That would explain why this fight seemingly lasts for eternity

The reason we all love this so much is because of the real ending. This video wouldn’t of had a big impact if the ending to Arthur was different.

i like to think that charles found arthur mutch earlier than he said, helped him, tended to his wounds and used the grave as a cover up so Arthur could live a peaceful secluded life without endagering the ones he loved.

@@bayeksiwa725 I don’t think so, I think this was Arthur’s conclusion to the story, besides they still have the story of Jack to explain about after he killed Edgar Ross in red dead 1. 99% chance Arthur won’t come back and if he does it will be probably a red dead game that takes place further back into the past.
I like the fact that when Arthur shot Micah at the end it was a parallel to the Low Honor ending.
Arthur Morgan a man who denounced his entire life after being infected with an incredibly ruthless disease. barely by the grace of God himself, manages to narrowly survive his bout with tuberculosis. while he is no longer at risk of death the curse of survival leaves him at a permanently limited capacity forever fragile and slightly frail. he chooses to live his life as a recluse and in solitude, wishing for those he truly cares for deep down to be spared of the consequeses of his past sins. however Arthur still remains bitter towards the actions of Micah Bell causing the only family he ever truly knew and loved to be ripped asunder and torn apart, but Arthur is intelligent and chooses to ignore the vengeful part of himself to keep maintaing the peace and happiness he always truly wanted despite his rough and violent exterior.
then one day fate plays it's hand once again.
Sadie Adler now an absolutely viscious bounty hunter comes across Arthur Morgan. first struggling to believe he even stands and breathes and then becoming completely overjoyed at the truth of one of her bestest friends being alive. they go to a nearby bar to catch up on old times and what all has changed. then Sadie says something that gives Arthur pause.
"I found the bastard Arthur. I sure as shit found him."
"what you mean?"
"you know just I mean Arthur Morgan. that rat bastard scum Micah. he's hanging out somewhere up in the mountains of Colter"
"....Sadie you... you know I ain't got it in me no more. somehow either from God or just outright damn luck and magic I barely beat my TB. you think I can even hold a gun as well as I used to?"
they debate on reasons as to why they should or shouldn't go after Micah before Sadie cuts the conversation short
"Look Arthur I'm doing this whether you join me or not. I just figured you of all people would wanna join me on this after what all he did. hell they was your family far more than they were mine anyway. but alright."
"I know it cost a lot to beat a ruthless disease Arthur.... just didn't think it'd cost your manhood too"
Arthur watched as she left her bluster seemingly having no effect on him. as he downed a final shot of firebrand to help clear the pipes a bit he rode back to his home, and sat in his chair. he pondered all he had done up to that point. all his lack of effort to speak with anyone from his past. he then realised it wasn't out of respect for them but out of fear for them being hurt. he began to be bitter at himself for allowing himself to become so weak. but then he realised something horrible. Sadie was an immensly tough woman for sure, you had to be to be a bounty hunter. but Micah was a gunslinger he was ruthless with a silver tounge that even got into the head of Dutch Van Der Linde. all it would've taken was one single mistake and Sadie would be dead in an instant.
as he realized that Sadie was almost certainly walking to a death trap if she were to go it alone. he began to find all new resolve not just purely for revenge against Micah but to make sure Sadie stayed safe and did not meet a gruesome end.
the fire was relit.
he put on his best winter clothes and set off to save his close friend but by the time he had climbed the mountain and came face to face with the lying rat he realized it was too late. enraged Arthur readies his pistol to try and end Micah there and then. but his strength is still completely halfed from fighting the disease. Despite the fact he is no longer at risk of his lungs filling with fluid or losing any more muscle mass he still is no longer is capable of being the senior gunslinger he once was.
so instead of going for the shot and risking a fatal mistake... he plays to Micah's preposterous ego. taunting him about how he took his eye on that hilltop with that knife and he could never beat Arthur man to man even as he was actually dying. Micah simply laughs and says "as far as I'm concerned black lung you're already dead to me"
"well come find out and see if you can knock a ghost on his ass or not... or are you scared that even as I am now you can only ever beat me with a gun?"
this strikes a nerve with Micah he instinctively agrees to meet Arthur's Challenge as an affront to his pride.
the battle takes place as seen here. violent and ruthless. a hoss fight between a one eyed man and a forever sickly one. in the end the fire and determination of Arthur after seeing his best friend (and potential lover) laying dead in the snow before him allows him to have just enough energy to knock Micah out cold forever cementing his physical and moral superiority over Micah before dealing the finishing blow on a still and unconscious target.
Vengeance for the Adlers the Marstons and the Van Der Linde Gang all in one motion with the shot of a gun.

I’m surprised this isn’t what i imagined. I thought everyone would be like: Arthur punched him once and he collapsed begging for mercy. But no it was actually what imagined a fight between Arthur and Micah to be like.
A sick Arthur at least, if this Arthur was healthy he would’ve taken Micah out in 4-7 hits

As bad as we all felt about Micah, you have to give him credit - in this fan-made ending, he responded to Arthur's suggestion to '"talk this out like gentleman" positively

Wish this was in the game. I can imagine we see Arthur’s death seen play as John but when John gets up we’re the end of the game happens then loses but Arthur shows up and saves them. A true redemption.

Technically yeah, we never saw Arthur die. We only see him watch the sunset. If it weren't for the fact that Charles confirmed it and buried his body, this would be possible.
Imagine an ending where Arthur and John are beating the living daylights out of Micah, just taking turns belting him and then Micah, bruised and battered and too hurt to even consider fighting back while nearing a cliff edge looks up at Arthur and John who then proceed to shoot him multiple times before he falls off the edge

i love this. I love how Micah was able to fight back and it wasnt completely one sided. i love how they both last in the fight so long because they both want the other to die so much.

They really set the story up perfectly for another undead rendition but rockstar is too focused on money so we’ll never get another fully fleshed out undead nightmare 2
just buy out the studio and give it to Microsoft, they got enough bread to care about more bread so RDR and GTA are saved

Ok this is amazing. And it is precisely what might happen if Arthur was somehow beaten by Micah non-lethaly. And notice how their hairstyles mirror their 1899 appearance.
I remember my first time doing this mission, I got the good ending for Arthur so he didn't get you know what, anyway, when doing this mission I was hoping Arthur would just pop up out of nowhere and just flat line Micha.

If this were to happen, this would be my theory :
Chapter 6
In 1899 chapter 6 would have a good ending like Arthur purposely didn't mention about Micah ratting, Arthur bumps into John on the way to the camp asking him to go to Abigail giving John Arthur's horse and then the gang runs away from the pinkertons successfully to New Austin after thinking twice about going North. Arthur would then talk with Dutch behind Micah's back after arriving in New Austin about Micah working with the Pinkertons. He would then leave the gang and try to cure his TB for a few month or so, a few days or weeks later Dutch's gang broke out.
Epilogue
Years later, Micah, Joe and Cleet goes back for the money in Blackwater and escape to the North like usual, We play as Arthur again, he was cured long ago and finds out where Micah is and then to the start of this video, shortly after Arthur would actually die to TB again due to the snow, facing West and watching the sunset like he mentioned and RDR1 never happens and then we ofcourse play as John.
This is a masterpiece, well done!

Videos like this make me wish rdr2 had one canon ending, not necessarily the best ending, but one which most people would get on their first play through, and several other endings that weren’t bound by having to be canon to rdr1 this being one of them

This would have been an amazing ending, that I feel would have been awarded to those with SUPER high honor (like myself😅)
And, I just gotta say… This is really well made. Like, wow.. The changing of camera angles, the lighting, the pacing (seriously, while I hate Micah he likely would be able to last a few good hits. Even if Arthur would last longer.) But the best part is DEFINITELY the ending, where the music dies down for a second, just for Arthur to finally kill Micah.

Arthur ran with John, endured his TB a bit longer, went with him to kill Micah, John dies, and its Arthurs turn to finish Micah. It could have been like a "what if read dead 1 followed Arthur instead of John?"

Can you do a immediate follow up where Dutch comes out and Arther decides to settle the score with him too, ending with them both falling off the cliff and only Arther surviving while Dutch is dead. Or have the both survive but have Dutch wounded and Arther shoots the heck out of Dutch as he avenges everyone who died because of him before walking away into the blizzard.

It would have been cooler if you had Arthur in his Winter clothes from the beginning of the game and John, Dutch, Charles bodies dead in that area where they fought and when Arthur got done killing Micah he goes up to Johns Body and gets his Hat and Satchel back. Overall great video man
