I played DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 3 in my childhood days. It was one of the best games till now for me. I remember that you can change fighter's aura color in DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 3 in options (if I remember correctly). You should include this in your next DBZ BT 3 detail video. It was one of the coolest effects in this game. I remember that I opted red color aura for SSJ4 Goku ♥️
@@quasiemedmondson4646 Yeah. It was one of the great options to customise your fav fighter's aura. Since Goku SSJ4 has red fur on his upper body, then red aura (while charging) did match pretty well. I agree that newer games today should include this feature but sadly they focus more on dlc like packs. Good old days were legend and BT3 was one of the legends. Devs had put many great details in this game.
You are correct on the aura color change. I played and beat Tenkaichi 3 after Xenoverse 2 came out, it was a game I’d been wanting to play for a while, and it didn’t disappoint. I played it on original Wii hardware so it made the experience better. Game is definitely a product of its time but still so much fun
@@StoryArtsConcepts I understand that how great you felt when you played this epic game. The same I felt. Though it's been more than a decade that I played this game. However, regardless of time, this game is alive in my heart and will be forever!
They ran out of development time. Every character was supposed to have their own story mode, but they had to get the game out so they had to abandon some of the things they wanted to put in the game.
@@KingDontre i honestly hate when that happens And its pretty common thing too... Many games are like that resident evil 2 Remake was the same Or mass effect Andromeda And many more...... I understand that it takes more time but why not take the time they need instead then stressing it out and then leave bunch of content lost..... Pain
Here is one I always found kinda weird. Because Japanese Cell kept the same voice through all his forms, the game had him keep the same pain sounds for all of them. Because of this, playing with the english dub means that Perfect Cell sounds the same when hit as Imperfect Cell. Kinda weird to hear that groaning "Gyeeeahhh!" come out of the second form as well.
I would love to see the cut content if these games, I played them a lot as a kid but I always felt like I never "got" them. Seeing all this attention they put into the game that I missed makes me appreciate it a lot more.
When u grab with babadi in Tenkaichi 3 he absorbs energy, and thus his final attack which releases energy from his Majin absorbing device does more, especially if you continually do it, it can even become a one shot
Did you know that in a team battle where you have Babidi Spopovich on the same team. Spopovich's ultimate will charge up Babidi's Ultimate attack. Babidi can store up to 10 charges for it, and his grab counts as 1 charge. While Spopovich's ultimate will counts as 5 charges for Babidi's attack. The absorb attacks won't work on androids though.
That ssj4 voice line with Vegeta glitch also happens in Tenkaichi 1 btw The perfect cell tail in shin Budokai is probably a reference to Cell from GT who was able to almost absorb Goku so the probability of him being able to absorb energy is big
So, I actually did know about the Mystic Breath because of the show. Evil Buu uses that move (I guess?) to not only negate Buu’s candy beam, but send it back at him. When I saw the move, that was the first thing I tried to use it for- sending super moves back to the opponent.
To go with the Broly story in B3, there was also a scrapped story with Goku turning SSJ4 to fight Kid Buu. Audio of this is present in the game's sound test as well.
I remember playing DBZ:Budokai 3 and I was convinced that every last character had their own story and that I just wasn't aware of how to unlock them. That's not to throw shade at the game or anything, I still adore that game even with all the cut content. Also yes, I would love a video on that, if you'd be willing to make it.
In the meantime, you can check out the hidden voice files here ua-cam.com/play/PLkDbv2Hy83b0AXUxM1lto7YY3bA117tDM.html Imo the craziest one is the Saibaman one. Also looking at most villains stories, SSJ4 Goku was meant to have a much larger impact on the game’s story than he originally did
@@cantstopbrock You know come to think of it; In this day and age with modding, it may actually be possible to take these audio files and put them to use.
@@TheGamersState now that you mention it, I did see someone try it with Cooler and it turned out quite well for a mod test. Video of it should still be on UA-cam somewhere.
Should be noted that Pilaf Machine Fusion in general lacks dialogue in English against Great Ape Goku too. So it's certainly a programming issue. In terms of ability stat stacking, here's the abilities in BT3 that CAN stack and to what extent (to the best of my assessment, but NOT including the Babidi and Share Your Energy gimmicks), from most common to rarest/unusual. 'Stacks' out of this means how many times it stacks to a character, not _on top_ of each use: Finish Sign: Improves regular attacks by 10% and Specials by roughly 30%. Stacks up to 5 times for regulars for an increase of 50%, but only needs to be stacked twice for maxing out Special to roughly 60%. High Tension: Improves regular attacks by 5% and Ki charge by roughly 100%, along with granting 2 yellow Ki bars on the spot if lacking. Stacks up to 10 times for regular attacks by 50%, and up to 3 times for Ki charge by seemingly 250%...? Self-Harm: Improves regular and special attacks by 5%, Ki charge by 100%, and defense by _seemingly_ 1.87%. Stacks up to 10 times for regular and special moves by 50%, Defense by 18.7%, and Ki charge up to 3 times to reach 250%... Reduces HP by about 2500 each use though. Fruit of the Tree of Might: Improves melee and special attacks by roughly 7.16%, Ki charge by roughly 50% along with 2 yellow bars, and Defense by roughly 2.6%. Stacks up to 7 times for 50% more regular and special power, as well as 18.7% Defense, and up to 5 stacks to achieve 250% Ki charge. I'm the Worst!: Improves melee by 5%, special by roughly 17%, and grants two yellow bars. Stacks up to 10 times for melee to 50%, and only 3 stacks needed for 50% special. Justice Pose 1: Increases regular attacks by 12.5%, Ki charge by roughly 65%, and grants 2 yellow bars. Stacks up to 4 times to 50% regular attacks, and 250% Ki charge. King's Dignity: Works and stacks almost exactly like Justice Pose 1, without the Ki bars. Much faster and safer to use at least... Kaio-ken: Increases melee and special by 12.5% and resets yellow bars as they slowly drain, and defense by roughly 4.5%; Uniquely makes Kaio-ken Attack 25% stronger instead of 12.5%. Stacks up to 4 times to raise melee and specials to 50%, defense to 18.7%, and Kaio-ken Attack to 100%... By all accounts, Spirit Bomb is stronger still, but using that extra 50% for it and Max Power 100% Kaio-ken is a challenge. Clashing Kaio-Ken Attack in Max Power mode against a Dragon Dashing or equally dashing special opponent, and winning them out, is essentially the only way to extend the Max Power mode long enough to stack it that much, as even with Blast Stock reduction you would need 8 stocks total instead of the 12 stocks to get it x4, and Goku only has 6 max at default with 1 already going into Max Power as is, so you're gonna be working for it a lot...
6:17 cell was shown extending and using his tail to absorb goku in gt, although it did look different than the one in the game, it was like a vacuum tube type of look that was also beige/brown
I guess the one for Hercule's Big Tournament is the reference to the tournament from the Bojack movie? For that one, the tournament stage was only used for the prelims, and the rest of the matches were held in special areas (city, desert, a meadow or something) which could be replicated with the stages in the game
Little secret in Tenkaichi 3, Babidy's ultimate damage can be buffed by using his grab, he steals energy to boost his ultimate damage, it can be boosted almost indefinitely. Same thing applies with Spopovich ultimate, if you use it and then switch to Babidy, his ultimate will be boosted as well
Hey I'm gonna need you to continue voicing over these. It definitely adds to the videos, and makes them much easier to digest than the previous ones without voice.
The otherworld arena was featured in the Japan only Dragonball Kai Ultimate Butouden for the NDS. Its a playable battlefield with the mushroom guy seen in the background.
Wait fr? When? I remember him doing a kamehameha, Goku commenting on how he "stole" his move (saying something like "Hey, at least give me some credit."), then returning fire and one shot Cell.
@@Xeno574 back then it was considered canon it's even the original continuity in reality if we never got that terrible movie we probably wouldn't have gotten super and gt would be canon, now it's just a seperate timeline.
Was imperfect Cell's idle state animation supposed to reference something not so sfw, or was it a reference to how most bugs clean themselves? (I personally think it was the second one)
I think what's really interesting is how the lip sync is actually really good in the Tenkaichi games. If it was JUST a dubbing error with English, you'd missed animations. But it instead looks like they have what gmod does for multiplayer voice chat and make the mouth move per syllable. Compared to the extremely limp talking and bad lip sync of Raging Blast until Ultimate Tenkaichi, and is pretty crazy to me that they nailed things basically on the first go since Tenkaichi 1 2 and 3 kind of share the talking animations.
budokai 3 had waaaay more planned. every character was meant to have a dragon universe mode, but time constraints meant they only completed 13, the ones we get to play... that explains why the roster was weird for that mode. if you use the typical modding tools (it's been 10 years since i've done any budokai 3 mods so i don't remember), you can access the .AFS archives in the game and locate textures that hold the text for story mode, and surprisingly you'll find text contained in it for every single character in the game. things i can recall confidently include super buu's story mode including multiple outcomes where you fight vegetto, gogeta, and tiencha (not sure about my memory about this one but i know there were hints that they were going to keep all the budokai 2 what-if characters but then took them out). trunks's story is what you included. another one i'm fuzzy about is the saibamen, i believe their story had them fight and defeat a bunch of strong characters from the story. cooler's story gives more background to his appearance on namek in goku and vegeta's 2nd campaigns, and much much more. unfortunately the image files don't render correctly with the tool so reading them was arduous, and extracting and editing each to be readable would have taken me too much time. the amount of details you'll find in there are unbelievable
@KaDazee One thing you've never mentioned is the Wii Version of Budokai Tenkaichi 2 has a mechanic exclusive to it that breaks the entire tier list. Because 99% of the players are pad warriors, they miss it. The Wii-mote and Nunchuk control type allows you to shake to speed up the charge of your guard breaks/launchers which can cause them to be completed instantly. This was removed from BT3
What i really want to know is how they made spherical maps for earth and namek in Budokai 3. Remember,in Budokai 3 you can freelly fly around the map without having invisible barriers to stop you. In my opinion that's a really neat trick and advance for that era. I wonder why none other game inherited this mechanic. :-\
Idk if you meant other games in general or other dragon ball games but Dragon quest 8 on ps2 did that too. The world was spherical and when you unlock flying you can just loop around the planet infinitely.

10:24 To be honest, the Tokusentai song referred to the forces as having each their weird quirks or uniqueness, Recoome as the strongest member himself (behind Ginyu, obviously)
8:28 for some reason broly screaming kakarot is always funny to me
5:36 Whats Cell doing 0_0
5:51 I just noticed some Dragon ball Legends arts in this part of the video like Legends road Piccolo
Yea I remember that too I loved that about bt3. I wish newer games like xenoverse 2 would let us do that
@@quasiemedmondson4646 Yeah.
6:26. Remember in the cell Saga. Perfect Cell used his tail to reproduce his cell Jr's
Please talk more about the trunks and broly one
I want to know why they didn't make more of it
Looks dope as hell
They ran out of development time. Every character was supposed to have their own story mode, but they had to get the game out so they had to abandon some of the things they wanted to put in the game.
If your curious here's the Playlist I recommend the Saibaman and daburas ua-cam.com/play/PLkDbv2Hy83b0AXUxM1lto7YY3bA117tDM.html
@@KingDontre i honestly hate when that happens
And its pretty common thing too...
Many games are like that resident evil 2 Remake was the same
Or mass effect Andromeda
And many more......
7:24 YES YES I would LOVE to see this!!!
I would love to see the cut content if these games, I played them a lot as a kid but I always felt like I never "got" them. Seeing all this attention they put into the game that I missed makes me appreciate it a lot more.
When u grab with babadi in Tenkaichi 3 he absorbs energy, and thus his final attack which releases energy from his Majin absorbing device does more, especially if you continually do it, it can even become a one shot
really??? woah thats interesting
@@123jov5 yessir
@@wazard5772 Yeah babadi is actually pretty strong if you manage to grab/drain them a few times first. Except, it doesn't drain anything from androids
@@jazzabighits4473 yea, that's true, any machine I believe
Did you know that in a team battle where you have Babidi Spopovich on the same team. Spopovich's ultimate will charge up Babidi's Ultimate attack. Babidi can store up to 10 charges for it, and his grab counts as 1 charge. While Spopovich's ultimate will counts as 5 charges for Babidi's attack. The absorb attacks won't work on androids though.
7:19 we need a remaster that has all the cut content included.
2:33 to skip the sponsor.
6:06 cell actually uses his tail while In perfect form in gt to try and absorb goku.
But not that dumb needle one
That ssj4 voice line with Vegeta glitch also happens in Tenkaichi 1 btw
The perfect cell tail in shin Budokai is probably a reference to Cell from GT who was able to almost absorb Goku so the probability of him being able to absorb energy is big
0:36 That's weird. He talks in the Wii version. In the intro and victory pose at least. He doesn't seem to say anything during battle or if he loses
0:44 oh fuck it's true!!!! I remember playing tenkaichi 3 and for no reason goku gt ssj3 was the only one who never talks in the whole game
6:16 never used again because it *sucks*
But he DID use it to make cell jr’s.
Kinda like how kid buu never used absorption, doesnt mean he doesnt have it
@@DaKingKayden good point
Thank you for the time and effort you put into these videos. I’m loving the series
When gotenks said "its raid shadowin time" my friend bardock got f up
So, I actually did know about the Mystic Breath because of the show.
Evil Buu uses that move (I guess?) to not only negate Buu’s candy beam, but send it back at him.
When I saw the move, that was the first thing I tried to use it for- sending super moves back to the opponent.
Cut content is always interesting, even more so for games I used to play (and that I really feel like digging out again if my PS2 still works)
4:50 Syn Shenron has purple Mystic Breath too 😀. In the past, I thought Mystic Breath was trash, but it blocked Kamahameha. So I've changed my mind 😅.
Useful if you're in a pickle
Man I love this throwback to this game and it's details
Would love to see a video covering the cut content and experimentation from Budokai 3. Sounds very interesting!
You should definitely do more on the scrapped bits of Budokai 3
bro how you introduced the sponsor of the vid was so hilarious 😂
Appreciate it lol
Would love to see you cover unused/beta content!
To go with the Broly story in B3, there was also a scrapped story with Goku turning SSJ4 to fight Kid Buu. Audio of this is present in the game's sound test as well.
Buu's Fury & Saga were 2 of my favorite games to play as a kid
I always liked the red Kamehameha from SSJ4 Goku.
It fits the form quite well and adds some personality to it.
Would love to see all that cut content from budokai 3, very nice video.
The emoji that was on screen when cell was touching his tall was the same reaction of everyone
In the meantime, you can check out the hidden voice files here ua-cam.com/play/PLkDbv2Hy83b0AXUxM1lto7YY3bA117tDM.html
Imo the craziest one is the Saibaman one.

I love how kid trunks' high speed rush was an instant ring out in world tournment mode
'Stacks' out of this means how many times it stacks to a character, not _on top_ of each use:
Finish Sign: Improves regular attacks by 10% and Specials by roughly 30%.
6:17 cell was shown extending and using his tail to absorb goku in gt, although it did look different than the one in the game, it was like a vacuum tube type of look that was also beige/brown
gt ain’t canon
@@Jayfym912 if the game includes characters from gt such as ssj4 goku and vegeta then its plausible to assume that its canon in this game
10/10 for that sponsor intro.
I guess the one for Hercule's Big Tournament is the reference to the tournament from the Bojack movie? For that one, the tournament stage was only used for the prelims, and the rest of the matches were held in special areas (city, desert, a meadow or something) which could be replicated with the stages in the game
Dude,I think a lot of us have seen a bunch of raid shadow legends, but oh boy this has been the best and unexpected one , good job
Glad I’m up to date on your vids- can’t get enough!! Keep it up 🔥
Little secret in Tenkaichi 3, Babidy's ultimate damage can be buffed by using his grab, he steals energy to boost his ultimate damage, it can be boosted almost indefinitely.
Same thing applies with Spopovich ultimate, if you use it and then switch to Babidy, his ultimate will be boosted as well
Hey I'm gonna need you to continue voicing over these. It definitely adds to the videos, and makes them much easier to digest than the previous ones without voice.
I totally agree. While I like the old format used in those videos. The voiced ones are much more "digestible" as you said. Appreciate the feedback!
That ad transition was amazing
The otherworld arena was featured in the Japan only Dragonball Kai Ultimate Butouden for the NDS. Its a playable battlefield with the mushroom guy seen in the background.

Man i love your content man. Takes me back to when I was a kid binge playing Budokai Tenkaichi 2 and 3
6:00 actually cell did use his tail after he turned perfect when cell and frieza fought goku in hell in the super 17 arc
0:06 Tenkaichi 1 had this error, Your BT2 copy must be glitched since the BT2 Version fixed the Japanese goku voice error
I haven't watched GT in the longest time, but Perfect Cell did use his tail to absorb Goku in GT. So I guess that counts.
Wait fr? When? I remember him doing a kamehameha, Goku commenting on how he "stole" his move (saying something like "Hey, at least give me some credit."), then returning fire and one shot Cell.
GT is non canon so idk if that's really useful
@@Xeno574 back then it was considered canon it's even the original continuity in reality if we never got that terrible movie we probably wouldn't have gotten super and gt would be canon, now it's just a seperate timeline.
@@Summorial2 Used to be canon. Therefore, whatever happened in GT doesn't really count anymore for things like this.
@@Xeno574 yes but back then super didn't exist so it does count for them.

Was imperfect Cell's idle state animation supposed to reference something not so sfw, or was it a reference to how most bugs clean themselves? (I personally think it was the second one)
I remember that in the old dbz games that every version of cell use imperfect cell's voicelines andpain effect everywhere outside of cutscenes
Also Sean Schemmel will say either "KAY-o-ken" or "Kai-yo-ken" depending on the time of games. 9:11

Perfect cell used his tail once in Dragon Ball GT, that makes sense to me
Just discovered your channel, it's bringing me back to the good ol days playing these games with friends
0:17 Wasnt that only in BT1?
budokai 3 had waaaay more planned. every character was meant to have a dragon universe mode, but time constraints meant they only completed 13, the ones we get to play... that explains why the roster was weird for that mode.
if you use the typical modding tools (it's been 10 years since i've done any budokai 3 mods so i don't remember), you can access the .AFS archives in the game and locate textures that hold the text for story mode, and surprisingly you'll find text contained in it for every single character in the game.
things i can recall confidently include super buu's story mode including multiple outcomes where you fight vegetto, gogeta, and tiencha (not sure about my memory about this one but i know there were hints that they were going to keep all the budokai 2 what-if characters but then took them out). trunks's story is what you included. another one i'm fuzzy about is the saibamen, i believe their story had them fight and defeat a bunch of strong characters from the story. cooler's story gives more background to his appearance on namek in goku and vegeta's 2nd campaigns, and much much more. unfortunately the image files don't render correctly with the tool so reading them was arduous, and extracting and editing each to be readable would have taken me too much time. the amount of details you'll find in there are unbelievable
Bro got almost all his videos at 1M+ views!!! Congrats!
Ayyy appreciate it!😁
@KaDazee One thing you've never mentioned is the Wii Version of Budokai Tenkaichi 2 has a mechanic exclusive to it that breaks the entire tier list. Because 99% of the players are pad warriors, they miss it. The Wii-mote and Nunchuk control type allows you to shake to speed up the charge of your guard breaks/launchers which can cause them to be completed instantly. This was removed from BT3
This series will hopefully be the catalyst for a revival or at least a remastering of the BT series
Dude, didn't know Mystic Breath was that great! Love your stuff Kadazee!
Appreciate it!
Wow I never knew mystic breath can reflect special attacks! I always use it to break out of a combo
I mean it makes sense. Pure Evil Buu did do that in the show
