how do you fold the fabric to get the invisible stitch?

I would look up a video showing exactly how to do it on an actual garment or item (eg. drapes) by an experienced tailor. A printed diagram really helps! It's kind of difficult to explain because of the double folding and I am just using a scrap in this video. I do not sew garments so am not an expert! Briefly, you want to position the fabric so that the fold comes to the left side of the guide on the foot. The needle should just pierce the folded edge of the fabric when the needle comes over to the left side. When the fabric is turned to the right side up the stitches should be almost invisible. Sorry I can't be of more help. I am a quilter! Good luck Linda!

Hello! I am SO sorry I was never notified about your question. You can find these attachments at antique stores, flea markets, auction sites on-line, or on-line 'crafty' sites. There is a Featherweight on-line store called the Singer Featherweight Shop and they carry authentic attachments (but you will pay a bit more for the convenience but they are awesome!) Sometimes you get lucky and find them at garage sales or through friends. It can be a challenge to find the more rare ones but very fun when you do!singer-featherweight.com/collections/shop
