- A desperate man searching for his daughter holds a member of the team hostage; Voight learns about the accusations Bunny made regarding a case from his past; Antonio finds out that Olinsky has been keeping a secret.
Season 03, Episode 03: 'Actual Physical Violence'
While Platt tries to manage a chaotic desk area, a man struggling to get her attention takes a drastic action and demands that the unit find his missing daughter. At the same time, Commander Fischer (guest star Kevin J. O'Connor) informs Voight that Bunny (guest star Markie Post) is bringing up new accusations on a case from his past. Lindsay urges her mother to fix the situation. Meanwhile, Antonio is shocked to learn a secret Olinksy has been keeping.

His daughter did infact get kidnapped, gun was never loaded so his charge was small, end of the episode they found his daughter alive after she killed her abductor, father and daughter were reunited and my god the emotions were huge. He was a desperate father just who wants his little girl to be safe
The gun was loaded, but the mouse took it off while snatching the gun. to save him from being severely punished.
Mouse was the one who took the bullets so the father had an small charge.

I kinda feel bad for the guy bc no one was listening and he was worried about his daughter but pulling out a gun and taking someone hostage was not the way to handle it.

Didn't you see how chaotic the front desk is? People doesn't care about rules. Trudy would have to pull her gun or threaten everyone in order to get everyone to listen to her and stay in line and wait their turn.

@@gyalkapone Most of them arent in excessive need of help? Having had a family member working at a front desk in a police station they can confirm that 80% of the things that come arent from people who need help because they are in danger, but people that think waiting to get help on documents which are related to the police are too long.

So what ever happened to Mouse? I mean I know he wanted Voight to squash his criminal record so he could get back on another tour, but they never mentioned him again...really bugging me. At least they could close the book and tell us he died when he went back, could be a good Halstead-centered episode, and how he deals with his death.

That's indeed the biggest problem. Guy is obviously stressed out about his daughter missing and nobody seemed to care. It took them 3 months

I truly feel for this guy, Trudy did a poor job at that front desk.
That look on his face when the father held up the place, "Oh wow, a gun to my head, sooo dramatic."
mouse and jay have a bond, one look and mouse knew to go badass, they know each other so well, and I hope this is explored in later seasons by them returning
To be fair, I would probably do the same thing if my daughter was missing for 3 months.

Please bring back Chicago PD we just saw it for the first time.
While I don't doubt for a second that this happens in real life, I'm uncomfortable with watching officers get information through torture. I'm kinda glad I don't actually watch this show because I could never connect with characters that are okay with this.
They do that a lot and as a non US person it amazes me that this is sometimes seen as the norm on their tv shows about cops as this clearly shouldnt be the norm and yet sadly probably is and somehow isnt viewed as problematic by some

It does. And even if you believe it's ok to torture some people they never cover how it affects their legal process. Nothing this guy said can be used in court, meaning that the chance of him walking free is quite high. I also don't think they ever covered him torturing the wrong person, sometimes people just don't tell you what you want to hear because *they didn't do it*. He always tortures the right, bad people, gets the confession he needs and saves the day..

I understand this father's desperation. Losing a child, no matter what their age is, is a nightmare to parents. The fact that no one understands the fear and stress the parents are going through when missing their kid and just rubs it off like it's not their problem is more frustrating. They don't what it is till they experience it

When legal gun ownership is not impossible Police can track guns. In countries like my country where guns are very hard to buy there are tens of millions of unregistered guns. Police has no idea which guns exist and who owns them as they are made in underground factories. No serial numbers. No Records. There is no option as a Gun-Free society.

Police never listen to people who come to them for help.
They just turn them away , keep them waiting or provoke them and file an unnecessary case against them for coming to file a complaint /seeking police help.
The father was desperate to find his daughter and the help desk police woman behaves like a witch queen.
All police sadly are like them.
I write this from India and I've seen it here and heard plenty from other people as well.
The social welfare department officials / police / commissioner / D.A's office ....you name it and they are all the same. Tax payers money they thrive on, So ,....they will only give you a deaf ear ..if you go to them..!!
