That dad had every right to be mad (if he's innocent). I already have a problem with this show with how aggressive the cops can be in Chicago (not a good look for real cops); if they were to grab me in the middle of the night, accuse me of killing/kidnapping my son, keep asking me weird questions and then almost INSIST I'm the one that did it? I'd demand a lawyer. They try to rough me up, I start prepping my case and then I clap back if I feel my life is in danger. Because in that moment, that's not a cop interrogation. That's an assault.
Apparently later in the ep, Hank apologizes to the father for accusing him (since, as a surprise to probably no one but Hank and Antonio, it turns out he was innocent after all).
When a wife is killed, cops usually try to rule out the spouse first. However, there was strong circumstantial evidence against him. There was also nothing that would prove anyone else was involved. Had Jordan died, he’d probably be in prison unless he had solid witnesses.
remember that saying you want a lawyer present during questioning is not an admission of guilt. it is to protect yourself from confessing to something you didn't do. in this case, they were purposefully telling the father he didn't need a lawyer if he is innocent which goes against his Miranda rights afforded to everyone in this country. ignoring those rights can lead to severe consequences if the police are found to have ignored Miranda rights

When they concentrate on a character means he didn't do it. The writers are trying to make you think he did it and wham, it's someone else.
