Thank You for the tutorials. Although, it's hard sometimes to understand your spelling, especially "E" which sounds more like "A", but overall the way you do is intuitive and clear, also you style is so cute! Keep it up!~
hey, at 2:37 in order to select the whole of each alternate line i had to select each part of each individual line separately which is obviously very tedious. I was wondering how you manage to select whole lines without them separating into these annoying smaller segments? also had a similar issue when making the open book as when trying to make the loop cuts (15:47) again i have to select each individual part of each loop cut separately rather than just clicking once on each edge to select. sorry i haven’t explained this well, and thank you for the tutorial this has helped me so far a lot!
I know this is old but in case someone needs it later, holding shift + alt while clicking the edge should also allow you to grab the whole edge and skip to the next one
I'm not sure why but my subdivision doesn't work like yours. I mean, when I extrude monitor there is a circle that i have to change with loop cut or just take off the subdivision surface
In the part where you do hinges, the moment you set the origin of the screen to the 3D cursor, your second hinge (mirrored one) disappears. Why? I had the same problem, I found another solution to rotate the screen, but I would like to understand why the hinge is not working any more. Thank you in advance for your reply!
oh I wasn't aware of that when I made the model. Thank you for pointing that out. Since I set the mirror object for the hinge as the laptop screen, when the laptop's origin is changed, the mirrored hinge's position will be change as well. That's why you see it disappeared from its original place. You can fix this by simply changing the screen's origin back to geometry, or set a new mirror object using the keyboard, laptop base, etc.

you can double click the edge and it should select the entire line

Love your work. i am on the last lamp now but confused about scale haha
Let me know if you need help
@@artbytran_ i did follow your step to scale lampshade, but not like your result 😭
@@pinkbear0926 if it's about scaling alternate lines inward, then you should press S+Shift Z
