2:20 I have tried for hours to make the floor. When I bevel it the end of each section is not correctly made. They don't have the blue edges anymore. I tried recalculating normals, merging each verticle together, removing by doubles etc.
0:50 when i separate by selection and apply a solidify modifier, it thickens the walls instead of the floor no matter what i do. I separated by selection while the floor is selected and added the modifier while the floor is still selected but it only thickens the walls :( pls help
ok, so, i tried a bunch of things and maybe something worked. when you "divide" the cube into cube and cube .001 you will see a symbol of a triangle on the side of the cube on the scene panel on your top right. try clicking on the same spot but for the cube .001
8:37 u don’t explain how getting that shape for the blanket was because you duplicated the bottom side also then went back and deleted it. If you just do the 3 faces initially that is not the shape u get.
Hello! Thank you so much for your tutorial, I just started blender a few days ago, and I enjoy it a lot! I have a question. Sometimes you duplicate a face (for example, when we did the bed-frame from the wall or the pillow from one of the mattresses faces. Why do you have to separate by selection? What does it give us? I thought you duplicate and that's it, you just work with it. Thank you in advance for your reply or to anyone who might know and help me!
If we don’t separate, what we duplicate from one object (ex: a face from the wall) is still attached to and considered as a part of the wall. We don’t want that to happen since the bed frame and the wall, for example, are 2 separate items. I hope it makes sense
hey can anyone help me bcz when making a chair I am getting a whole circle and not an octagon like her and just bcz of that I cannot extrude because it doe not have any face
5:23 my bevel does not happen the same way as yours. it gives me a straight cut edge with 4 vertices of its own which ruins the curve. how do i fix this?
Does any 3dsMax users know a better way to replicate what was done with the floors and walls? In Max, I used the chamfer modifier to get the same effect, but I would have to manually adjust the topology to use open subdivide since the shape will just collapse. I am new to modeling so any tips would be appreciated!
on 24:38 I was having trouble figuring out how to extrude as directed to where both faces come together. I stayed in edit mode with both faces selected and extruded along normals on the x axis (it couple be a different axis for you depending on how your room is set up) and that seemed to work just fine :)
hi, around the 2:40 mark when I do the bevel and press X to delete faces for the floor, it doesn't change. any idea what I am doing wrong? I've done every step up until this point
It worked fine for me but if you can't do with shortcut then do manually. * After beveling left click to confirm * Go to face select mode (besides edit/objest mode on top left corner) * Click right mouse button - delete faces.
hi, so far tutorial is great, I am having difficulties with knowing what mode we are in (for example object or edit mode). I wanted some help knowing if you applied the subdivision modifier after you finished the walls at 1:49? thanks so much
I normally don't apply the subdivision modifier. Also, the easiest way to tell which mode you're in is looking at the left hand tool bar. There are more options available in edit mode
i love this video so much! i was just wondering if i can get some help though? when I was creating the chair and i cleared the rotation of the chair and reapplied the rotation, the chair legs didn't move accordingly so right now my chair has legs that arent properly in each corner :((. thank you!
Hello Tran! How did you do the split screen where the left screen is stable? I have been looking at it and searched about it and still could not figure it out.
Hi Tran! I'm having trouble with the first part... when I press B to separate object it makes a dash line instead. Do you know the answer for this issue?
Hey! can you help me? my soft edges keep disappearing and turning to hard edges, it happened when I made the walls, I had to remake the from scratch. and now it's happening to the table but I don't wanna remake everything everytime this happens. As I set the drawer to mean bevel weight 1, the table turned to hard edges, but all the settings are exactly like yours. I'm very new to blender. I don't know why is this happening.
Hi, i had the same problem, and i figure it out, when i used intrude on the front faces (I+I), you can see at that moment corners starts to loose softness, bt if i use 'I' for every face separate, is works correct
Hello tran ^^ sorry for bothering but for the 12:11 bunny plushy when press I, my bevel doesn’t work like urs, it just make the faces smaller and they are still in the middle and not in the corner TvT sorry if it’s not clear
I'm having trouble with the table whenever I use intrude for the drawers I'm losing the soft edges its becoming the default hard edges even tho I'm setting mean bevel to 1. Can you please help me out 16:34
there may be some extra hidden vertices that you created but weren’t aware of. You can try press A to select all then M and select merge by distance to see if it fixes the problem. Feel free to join my discord channel and post your questions there: discord.com/invite/TJxar23q
at 5:23 precisely once you pressed ctrl+shift+B to bend there's a new black dot appearing on each of the side, which doesn't happen with me, something i did wrong ?
@@artbytran_ hey tran thanks for taking your time to answer me, yes i had 1 pressed, actually i found the missing piece of the puzzle, all i needed is to scroll up the wheel to add vertices. thank you
You need to make it in edit mode. Press TAB or change object mode into edit mode in top left corner. When you do this, there are 3 options on right from the "object mode/edit mode" buton (Next to them is "View" button). First option is for vertaxes, second for egdes and third for walls only. It should work now.
I’m having the same problem I do alt r and it shows a menu that says clear delta which I have tried clicking and not clicking. When I go ctrl a and press rotation nothing happens?
It took me an hour to get through the first three minutes, but I'm doing it! I'm learning! I made a cat plush instead of a bunny as well. :D
