I loved how this episode showed more of the fact that Ahsoka was sadly both a Jedi AND a child soldier. What’s more is that while while the Jedi were taught to not form attachments to people, she and her master clearly broke that rule and cared for not just their men but their friends and family. The difference is that while Anakin failed and fell to the Dark Side because he couldn’t let go of those he loved, Ahsoka succeeded and learned to let go and move on. After seeing Ahsoka having a moment of catharsis with her master, and letting go of her guilt and pain to more fully embrace the Light Side, Rosario Dawson now truly has become the Ahsoka we remember from Clone Wars! She has now truly risen and has now become tied with Luke Skywalker for me as the greatest Jedi of all time. This is also easily the best performance Hayden has ever given as Anakin, he actually felt more like Anakin from the Clone Wars than the movies. Hayden CRUSHED it. Was and will always be my favourite Star Wars character. It's crazy how much hate the prequels got but enough time has passed that the fans who grew up with them like myself are old enough to make their voice heard that THIS is Star Wars to us. They were not perfect but they added so much to the franchise overall. When ppl think of a great lightsaber duel its the prequels. When u think about Iconic music outside of the main theme its Battle of the Heroes or Duel of the Fates. Fantastic episode I can't wait for Sith Council.
You really realize in this amazing episode how young was Ahsoka when she was trained, no to be a guardian of peace, but to became a soldier. No surprise she changed growing up, now that child we knew is fully back!. Hayden was AMAZING, just The Chosen One, this episode hits hard man.
The Jedi were crazy to do this to their padawans... it really messed them up, I mean we have Ahsoka and Kanan traumatized but look what happened to Ventress and Barriss
This episode was some of the greatest Star Wars ever created. The character work that Filoni did here with Ahsoka is absolutely fantastic. Amidst all of it, my favorite aspect of it probably has to be the visual symbolism of her growth. Ahsoka going into the water as Ahsoka the Grey and coming out from the water as Ahsoka the White very much so felt like a baptism of sorts. As if the old her went under, and she’s come out born again as someone new. Absolutely loved every aspect of this episode. I’ve seen some people say that “people are being blinded by fan service” and to that I counter that yes, people are blinded by fan service but not in the typical way you’d think. The people who are ACTUALLY blinded by the fan service are those who are letting the fan service in this episode blind them from seeing the true beauty of what this episode actually was. There’s absolutely some fan service moments and callbacks in here, but it basically is just in the background and being in service of the main character’s relationship and development
For the general public like me. We don't know all this stuff. So bad fan service is definitely not why we're loving this. It's just really good story telling.
Filoni has explained the Place between Worlds is a place to learn, I think she needed to learn Anakin's fall was not on her and she can continue carrying his good side within her and pass on
And the reason for her being able to access at that point, the location where the map was opened is strong with the force, which makes the path easier. Also explains how Jaysen was able to hear it
I like how Dave Filoni left the interpretation to us. Was it the Mortis Gods? A Jedi version of a near death experience? A Force ghost? Subtle hints here and there.
But you KNOW there will be people who don't get it or are frustrated by not having a literal explanation of what it was. People who want lore specifics, instead of appreciating the not fully understood spirituality that the Force should be. I love this take. Ahsoka has a direct connection to the WBW as well as the life energy of the daughter, so it's perfectly plausible that her spirit was sent there, but it could also have just been her own spirit's internal struggle fighting for a chance to live. Very Over the Garden Wall in that way.
I agree mostly...but the line where she says she won't fight him, and he says that he's heard that before. That's referring to Reutn of the Jedi and Luke. There's no way she would know that, so at the very least we know that that is truly some form of the real Anakin, bit other than that I'd say yes, up to interpretation as to where this is happening.
That was Force Ghost Anakin just being the Chosen One: able to channel the Light and Dark at will. It was funny how he was like "you're still on about that Vader thing?" BOOM. Vader comes out.
I loved seeing Hayden in CW armor and it’s definitely his best performance as the character. All the WBW stuff was fantastic. The other stuff was good in it’s own way and you can tell each episode Dave directs he’s getting better. Makes me really excited for his movie.
I cant believe Ahsoka saying 'I wont fight you..' and Anakin saying 'Ive heard that before..' didnt get a reaction out of you. I love the reference to RotJ so much
That is a clue to let us know that it's actually Anakin there, as a "force ghost" or whatever and not some memory in Ahsoka's mind. And Jaycen "hearing" the fight also reinforces that she actually went somewhere.
Seeing live action young Ahsoka really drove home how young she actually was during the clone wars. The Jedi had really fallen with them sending children to war.
Incredible episode! Hope they can top it. Big props to Hayden and Rosario, strong chemistry, they both worked together in a movie back in 2003 called Shattered Glass so this was a 20 year reunion for them. This was by far the best interpretation of Anakin I've ever seen, live action and animated, he should be up for contention for at least an Emmy nom, he was that good.
Like I said in the first initial reaction. Dave’s writing is for the long run. Just love it man. When Star Wars is at its best nothing beats it. Just awesome
I love you caught the reference to Empire, it directly cried out to me. Not many reactions I saw caught that. It fits very good as well, it has a similar feel to it.
I can't help but feel that after a few watches folks will start to see the Anakin Ahsoka scene differently. When he says 'live or die', he isn't asking if she wants to live or die necessarily. This is like Luke's failure in the cave. Eventually, Luke made a different choice at the end of Return of the Jedi... he let his father live, and was saved himself. Anakin didn't know this lesson when Ahsoka left him. It wasn't until now that he could teach this lesson to her... thanks to Luke.
@@rockyseverino9230Putting the two ideas together, I think she has to want to see value in herself and her training as a jedi, not just as a soldier in a war. She affirms that to herself the same way Luke does. She is a jedi like her master before her, and she refuses to strike Vader down in anger.
@@voodoophileh, I wouldn't say that. Some of arcs like Seige of Mandalore were gruesome. Bad Batch us just all out depression the last season. Not all colorful and bright and happy but bloody, torture, death. Same about Rebels with Thrawn especially.
I wonder if Ahsoka had lost her will to live after everything that happened, especially since Anakin became Darth and she wasn't there to prevent it. Anakin was now there to give her the chance to heal and regain her will to live.
This was the Anakin/Vader that I always wanted to see. A kind of "what if" Anakin defeated Obi-Wan on Mustafar and never lost his legs/arms. How powerful and menacing he could have been. Hayden KILLED it!! Hope we see more of him again down the line (in whatever form it may be)
It's amazing how seeing CW era in live action changes perspectives. Watched it late at night, so I am still digesting everything, and definitely need to rewatch.
I think she had a near death experience and Anakin's force ghost pulled her into the world between worlds to give her a second chance and teach her to live. Not just survive. Now she is more content and peaceful.
Dude, this episode is SOOOoooOOoooo good. Hayden's voice and the way they made Anakin look is just absolutely spot on. This series is flat out dope! A young snips?!?! What?! 🤯🤯. The story, the constant action, the performances. The volume and shooting they are doing are so well executed. The transitions they have been doing are great. the shot of Anakin to Vader in the flashback/dream. Filoni placed the bar back up, and I cannot be more happy. The fandom is more united than it has been in a decade. Amazing. The music is PERFECT.
I wasn't an avid follower of the Clone Wars or Rebels (saw a couple of episodes here and there) but I was blown away by last night's episode. My bf and I signed up for the viewing in NYC at AMC, but they oversold it and we didn't get in. We saw it at home and nothing was lost by viewing it at home. I was glad that Hayden was given an opportunity to add depth to Anakin in a way that wasn't available in the prequel trilogy. Well done!
Watching Hayden's transition from Vader back to Anakin after Ahsoka told him she was choosing to live was stunning. That was so brilliant. Kudos to Hayden, Rosario and Dave for this scene. Kudos to the DP, Quyen Tran for the beautiful cinematography too. This is episode was fantastic.
Hayden is just so good with a lightsaber, so glad to see more of a prequel style lightsaber fight. Young ahsoka killed it aswell with acting and combat! Enjoy your live reaction. You should do more.
Great reaction Kristian👏🏼 As for what exactly Anakin is, I think I understand what’s happening: When we first saw the World Between Worlds, it was full of voices of characters, and portals to moments in time. But in this episode, there are no portals, no voices, Only Anakin. He appears as nearly every version of himself, and has the ability to drop Ahsoka into moments in time. Anakin is the force ghost we saw in Return of the Jedi, while also being the Anakin in the Clone Wars, before, and after. He’s every moment of Anakin Skywalker, from every time, in every place, in one person, Showing Ahsoka as every version of himself she needs to see, for better, or worse. The reason he lacks the astral form of a ghost, is because Ahsoka is closer to the cosmic force than she is the living force, making him just as tangible as herself. Throughout, she sees glimpses of Anakin as Vader, but never seeing Anakin’s face as Vader’s mask, always seeing Anakin as Anakin. In the end, she stares down the evil of Vader, looks past it, and chooses to see Anakin. Accepting that Anakin Skywalker is better than his worst moments.
Kristian remember that Ahsoka died and the daughter gave her soul to Ahsoka to bring her back to life. It makes sense she can enter the world between worlds if she almost dead. Anakin is finally the chosen one as the father. Go to clone wars season 3 mortis arch between 15-17. The father wanted anakin to become the new balance in the force. Now anakin is that balance. That’s how he can go from light to dark and back to light.
One potential explanation for how she got there was that theory floating around that Anakin is functionally The Father now keeping balance on the entire force.
Anakin, the ‘Chosen One’ has truly brought balance. That is why he was able to juxtapose between light and dark so effortlessly with Ahsoka. He has truly become the ‘Father.’ Hayden was excellent, Dave’s writing and directing were top notch. Rosario was criticized for being wooden but it was because she was still Ahsoka ‘the Gray.’ Now, after being summoned by the Father/now Anakin, to fight, resist, and defeat him, she was able to resist the dark side (you saw her eyes glow Sith yellow for a second) before knocking the saber out of Anakin’s hand and then he returns to his non-Sith form and she is now ‘Ahsoka the white.’ Countenance has changed, she is no longer burdened with leaving Anakin and being guilt ridden for doing so. A great episode and the Purgils, Kiner’s brilliant music, and those CW battle scenes were top notch. Ashoka, I think will have the strength, and wherewithal to deal with Baylin, Morgan, Thrawn etc since she ‘finished’ her training.
Unreal episode. I think the explanation is that it was a dream sequence or something in the force. They made it look like the WBW for rebels fans to give us something. Best to do that, rather than introduce the WBW concept into live action, which would’ve been very tricky to explain.
World Between Worlds - I don’t think we need an explanation, but in my own head cannon there are some reasonable explanations. 1) Anakin pulled her in just like Ezra had done. 2) She has able to get there because she has a previous connection with accessing it. 3) Anakin’s force spirit came to her in her mind and the actual environments were all an illusion or re-imaging based on her past memories - which is supported by the how the locations just changed without going thru doorways in the World Between Worlds
She got in the world between worlds because she was between life and death. She literally had to choose to live to make it out of there. I guess we can assume the force ghosts "live" or can access the world between worlds and this is how this meeting was possible. While last time Ezra grabbed her from the Vader fight, here she was actually between life and death - and with this one last lesson, in a way she's reborn as Ahsoka the White. And now she has the confidence to do what needs to be done, she isn't second guessing herself anymore.
Not sure if anyone mentioned this already, but the actress playing young Ahsoka, also played young Gamora in Avengers: Infinity War. All in all, this episode absolutely crushed. As a fan who hasn't watched Rebels etc before, I wasn't lost in the plotlines at all. Well acted, well directed, and capped off with a fantastic score. Best episode of this series bar none, in my opinion.
Literally goosebumps at the whole ending sequence with the Pergils and Kevin Kiners score, I think that piece might be one of my new favourite Star Wars compositions.
I used to watch Jedi Council. when Kristian was on. And the reviews and discussions of Rebels were some of my favourites. Probably some of the best Disney Star Wars has produced. It continues with Ahsoka. Ep 5 was the best thing I have seen.
Well to be fair. J.C. Hated the Space Whales episode. And It’s the one episode I skipped. I mean how important could Space Whales be? 🤷♂️ #sithcouncil
I absolutely loved the Clone Wars flashbacks! The actress playing young Ahsoka nailed it. I also think part of what Ahsoka was coming to terms with was being a child soldier and the mental toll that would take. 10/10 for this episode IMO! Thank you Dave Filoni!
Hayden is totally amazing and incredible. Ariana Greenblatt was spot on as young Ahsoka, just wonderful. I really loved this episode. 10/10. This is the Best Star Wars I've seen in a long time. Thanks Dave.
I feel like the World between worlds is mainly like pergatory/before the afterlife, she got there by almost drowning. Ezra just happened to get there artificially through the portal on purpose.
I feel like this is a force vision. That essentially it's like Harry Potter talking to Dumbledore in deathly hallows part 2. Just because it's happening in her head doesn't mean it isn't real.
The world between worlds scenes reminded me of the cave in Degobah where Luke wemt for one of his trials... maybe its more of a vision while being guided by Anakin's force ghost or even just a vision of Anakin/Vader in Ashoka's mind. I really hope they do explain it in more detail though, because it's so open to interpretation at the moment and unclear exactly what purpose it has in the story at this moment. Absolutely loving this show though... big big vibes of everything I loved about Rebels!
Anakin made Ashoka confront the fear and trauma of her past and her answer to live means she can now move past the impact and shadow of the Clone Wars and Anakin's decisions on her life. Love it. Perfect episode imo.
For as wonderful and amazing as it was seeing all the Clone Wars flashbacks and Ahsoka/Anakin duelling. For me, Kevin Kiner was the best thing about this episode. The music was superb. I loved how during the flashback scene when Ahsoka sat next to a trooper who held her hand, it was subtle, but there were a few notes that were played from the song in the final clone wars episode where Ahsoka looks over the burial place of the clones that just tried to kill her, as she drops her lightsaber and leaves. Then the way he integrated the force theme over Jacen and Hera was wonderful. But the real joy for me was the whole last 5 minutes where the end credits theme plays as Ahsoka and Huyang ride the Purrgil into the Galaxy and she promises Hera “I will find them, I promise.” Sorry for a long comment haha.
This was masterful work once again by Dave. I know he's a big fan of 'Robotech', and there have been moments with Ahsoka that reminded me of 'Robotech's principal character Rick Hunter. This episode reminded me of the episode 'Phantasm,' in which Rick gets shot down by friendly fire over the Pacific Ocean, and is rescued from the ocean but in a coma. The entire episode sees him revisiting the events of the war over the last several months, but from the perspective of his consciousness attempting to sort out his feelings that are tied between the two women in his life. When we think Ahsoka is once again in the 'World Between Worlds', my feeling after this episode is that she was in a force coma in which she is sorting out her feelings within the inner parts of her mind, but the force was at play. So, while she's floating in the ocean she's visualizing all of what we saw. Perhaps, through the force, Anakin's spirit is part of these visions, but her subconscious is directing her through the lessons she has to address - the deep feelings she's been carrying with her for decades. That was my feeling as soon as Anakin begins talking at the beginning - this isn't the real Anakin from the past, somehow trapped in the WBW, but an expression of Ahsoka's inner thoughts and feelings in this moment. Either way, Hayden, Rosario, and Ariana brought it! Fantastic work, and Kiner continues to be a genius. I can't wait until they release this soundtrack, sheesh!
I think this experience is similar to the cave scene where Luke has to confront Vader. Now she truly is a Jedi and ready to face the evil that lies ahead.
Love the reaction Kristian! Loved the episode! Ashoka needed a kick in the pants/reminder from Anakin to become Ashoka the White! She was believing what Balyan said about her that her legacy is of destruction and death like her masters but Anakin tells her that she's "more than that because I'm more than that". Loved all those character moments for her, a lot of complaints early on were about her being wooden acting wise and it makes more sense now that ashoka the gray had to go through this to become her real self and we see it with how she acts and wearing white afterwards. I think they didn't go into the world between worlds explanation because it would've just confused the general audience, in my opinion she could've just had a vision while knocked out or Anakin as the chosen one can do more in the "afterlife" per se to set this up. If you think back to rebels there were moments in the early seasons where they were in that temple on lothal and both ezra, kanan and ashoka had their own visions and moments. Ezra even talks to yoda in a space like "world between worlds" looking place in retrospect, kanan completes his jedi training too so I think it might be more mysterious explanation wise which I'm personally fine with for now.
Ashoka almost died; her consciousness was transported to the world between worlds by Anakin; that Anakin is like an “echo” from Ashoka’s past but he has the knowledge about being Vader and everything that happened in the og trilogy. When Ahsoka learned the lesson Anakin was teaching her she went back to her body; showing that she chose to live. As you can see, she went from being Ahsoka “the grey” to Ahsoka “the white” like at the end of Rebels.
palpatine got into the world between worlds without the doorway because of how strong he was. perhaps anakin as part of the force brought her to save her life.
I love how this tied in with Tales of the Jedi. As a child Ashoka had natural affinity with animals, and then once she is a Jedi again, she is able to open up and communicate with the Purgil. Dave really tied that together nicely.
The lesson Anakin was teaching took me a few watches to understand as well. He’s teaching her that she needs to live her life without allowing the past to keep her down. She can either choose to die and give up the fight or she can live and let go of the past. She was allowing her fear of creating another Vader to dominate her. She was afraid that since Anakin taught her she would pass those lessons on to another generation and create a new Vader. But there was so much good in the lessons that Anakin taught her. She has to let Anakins failure go and pass those lessons on to the next generation. When she wakes up she looks like she’s had a giant weight lifted off her shoulders. She looks happy again.
I can't believe how much I teared up. The music score was amazing and how Ahsoka was smiling more at the end portrayed her growth after her "training" with Anakin. Great episode.
Kristian mentioned how the ending had Empire Strikes Back vibes. Ahsoka's last lines were "I'll find them. I promise." That mirrors Lando's last line to Luke and Leia: "We'll find Han. I promise." And the last spoken lines in both were "May the Force be with you." Hera to Ahsoka, Luke to Lando and Chewie. I doubt that was a coincidence. As Lucas said, "it's like poetry, they rhyme."
@TheKristianHarloff During the Clone Wars series, there was a clear line separating Matt Lanter and Hayden. Filoni and crew have given Hayden so much to rework his take, the line between the two is completely gone. Hayden has merged the two into his own and it's freaking glorious. I used to say I don't want any more legacy characters... But damn I want a series for Hayden. And this is the episode that Rosario became Ahsoka "Snips" Tano!!!!
This single episode is still the best piece of Star Wars I've seen in this Disney era. If anyone asks "what makes it Star Wars?", when you say a SW show or movie isn't Star Wars, just use this episode as a reference. This should be golden standard.
I just think it was a spiritual moment, everything doesn't have to be explained and it could be left up to our interpretation. It looks liked the world between worlds because she's been before
When they are talking during the Seige of Mandalore, Anakin says " live or die." , as he turns into sith Anakin and turns around to face her. What I believe he is trying to show her, is that he chose to die and he is showing her what he became, because of his choice.
Haha, I love your live reactions! We get the experience of watching with you and see you ask all the same real time questions throughout the episode that we do. So happy the de-aging of Hayden was so much better this week and happy for him he got this chance to show us how he could have played the role in the prequels with better direction
@TheKristianHarloff, I just realised that hayden with the red lightsaber finishes with exactly the same combination on ahsoka as he does in rebels.. when she's pulled out from the temple by ezra into the world between worlds... except THIS time she dodges the strike and steals his lightsaber to win the fight 🤯🤯👏🏾👏🏾 It just shows she has gone through that moment again and again in her mind and how she would do it differently! Incredible writing 🥲
I love how they had Anakin Skywalker flash from good to bad and back to good. That was one of the best episodes so far. I liked this episode more than episode 4. Ashoka was in a dream state. Probably a coma from not breathing from being under water. So kinda like a coma dream state.
Really enjoyed this! Watched this immediately after I watched the episode and got to re-live the episode again along-side! You crushed it on this one! 🎉 Cheers🍻
10:14 Btw, did you know that according to “Bespin Bulletin” there was a fight scene shot between Anakin (as Hayden Christensen) and Ahsoka (as Savannah Steyn instead of Ariana Greenblatt, at least for that scene) on Mustafar in an alternate-reality-like setting during the "world-between-world like" moments, which they said was cut from the actual episode? In that scene Anakin would have showed her that she couldn't have changed his fate to become Vader even if she were there at that point, which would have taken away a lot of her guilt of her not having been there and not being able to save him, resulting in the now more light-hearted Ahsoka. They cut that scene, maybe cause it wasn't really a memory and/or cause Anakin's message/lesson was a different one? Though I still hope they would release it as a separate video on YT or sth like that, cause I would really like to see what that scene (and Savannah Steyn as Ahsoka) would have looked like and it also explains a bit better imo why Ahsoka is more enlightened and happy at the end.
Dave just gets it. Gets the characters, why they do what they do, he just gets it. Doesn't hold back he shows you what you want and doesn't hold your hand every step of the way. Work it out. Interpretation leads to discussion.
Thank you for keeping this passion for Star Wars and influencing me to watch clone wars and rebels all the way to this point since the Jedi council days!
Ahsoka was in the world between worlds before. The scene in this show was a force vision that Anakin made to reach out to Ahsoka and guide her by accessing her memories.
Ashoka's water experience has shades of the Cave on Degobah, more than it's the World between World. Perhaps the vicinity of the Nightsister Dark side over the Centuries has created a Dark Side vision hotspot. Or I'm overthinking things.

I loved that too
I absolutely adore that I don't know
I agree mostly...but the line where she says she won't fight him, and he says that he's heard that before.
It was funny how he was like "you're still on about that Vader thing?"
BOOM. Vader comes out.
It reminded me of Ezra's experiences inside the Jedi Temples
4:11 you can hear the theme of Kanan on the background , Hayden nailed it
I loved seeing Hayden in CW armor and it’s definitely his best performance as the character. All the WBW stuff was fantastic. The other stuff was good in it’s own way and you can tell each episode Dave directs he’s getting better. Makes me really excited for his movie.
Dude, Dave is just the best. This show has been like a cool, refreshing draught in the barren desert for Star Wars fans. THIS is Star Wars!
@@jeffweissberg yes, exactly! Its like a force vision but its actually Anakin's force ghost teaching her
I’m glad you like it but it feels less like homage to me and more like Filoni just lifting dialogue from past movies and thinking hes clever for it.
@@jackisgreat925 i think he is clever for doing it
Isn't it also a reference to the first time they fought in rebels also or am I remembering it wrong?
Seeing live action young Ahsoka really drove home how young she actually was during the clone wars. The Jedi had really fallen with them sending children to war.
She was not just a child. She was way more than that
Incredible episode!
Ahsoka the white looks fantastic, I love that she’s found more peace and laughing now, contrasts beautifully with her from the beginning
He's also being quite literal
She is actually dying
She has to want to live
Now take the young Ashoka and make a live action clone wars. Lol
@@lmbaseball15 can you imagine?
@@rockyseverino9230Putting the two ideas together, I think she has to want to see value in herself and her training as a jedi, not just as a soldier in a war. She affirms that to herself the same way Luke does. She is a jedi like her master before her, and she refuses to strike Vader down in anger.
@@voodoophileh, I wouldn't say that. Some of arcs like Seige of Mandalore were gruesome. Bad Batch us just all out depression the last season. Not all colorful and bright and happy but bloody, torture, death. Same about Rebels with Thrawn especially.
This episode is amazing! I'm glad we got to see live action Anakin and Clone Wars
I wonder if Ahsoka had lost her will to live after everything that happened, especially since Anakin became Darth and she wasn't there to prevent it.
Anakin was now there to give her the chance to heal and regain her will to live.
She also thought Sabine was possibly dead.
@@tomlewis4205 Yeah...
This was the Anakin/Vader that I always wanted to see. A kind of "what if" Anakin defeated Obi-Wan on Mustafar and never lost his legs/arms. How powerful and menacing he could have been. Hayden KILLED it!! Hope we see more of him again down the line (in whatever form it may be)
Even these clips are giving me goosebumps.
This is what happened. I don’t get why so many people are confused
Great reaction Kristian👏🏼
As for what exactly Anakin is,
I think I understand what’s happening:
When we first saw the World Between Worlds, it was full of voices of characters, and portals to moments in time.
But in this episode, there are no portals, no voices,
Only Anakin.
He appears as nearly every version of himself, and has the ability to drop Ahsoka into moments in time.
Anakin is the force ghost we saw in Return of the Jedi, while also being the Anakin in the Clone Wars, before, and after.
He’s every moment of Anakin Skywalker, from every time, in every place, in one person,
Showing Ahsoka as every version of himself she needs to see, for better, or worse.
He has truly become the ‘Father.’
Hayden was excellent, Dave’s writing and directing were top notch.
Ahsoka: "I know where to find Sabine"
Huyang: "Do they know where Sabine is?"
Ahsoka: "I have no idea"
She was also the daughter in the Barbie movie 😎
Literally goosebumps at the whole ending sequence with the Pergils and Kevin Kiners score, I think that piece might be one of my new favourite Star Wars compositions.
I used to watch Jedi Council. when Kristian was on. And the reviews and discussions of Rebels were some of my favourites.
Probably some of the best Disney Star Wars has produced.
It continues with Ahsoka.
Ep 5 was the best thing I have seen.
Sith Council MUCH better than Jedi Council. JC was way Too corporate.
Watching your reaction to the clone wars sequence gave me chills all over again. Incredible stuff and great to see Hayden get this redemption
I feel like the World between worlds is mainly like pergatory/before the afterlife, she got there by almost drowning. Ezra just happened to get there artificially through the portal on purpose.
Funny thing is ….all ahsoka trailers were all part of ep 1-4…..meaning ep 5 & so on will be things we won’t be ready for
I almost fell out of my chair at the Clone Wars reveal. Hayden was terrific as was the young Ahsoka actress.
That was one of the most beautiful episodes of Star Wars I have seen in many years!
But the real joy for me was the whole last 5 minutes where the end credits theme plays as Ahsoka and Huyang ride the Purrgil into the Galaxy and she promises Hera “I will find them, I promise.”
Sorry for a long comment haha.
In case no one's mentioned it, the actress that plays young Ahsoka is the actress who played young Gamorra in Infinity War
This is the best Star Wars I have ever seen! Best Anakin we’ve ever seen! This show is phenomenal!
As someone who never saw Clone Wars/Rebels, this is the most I've wanted to give it a shot.
Really dig this style of watch along!
Kristian "I have questions ". The Force after waving its hand "these are not the questions your looking for"
The actress playing young Ahsoka also played young Gamora in the MCU. She was in the scene where Thanos finds her and takes her in.
During the ladt duel fight that Kiner music was absolute FIRE!!!
palpatine got into the world between worlds without the doorway because of how strong he was. perhaps anakin as part of the force brought her to save her life.
THANKS for this, Kristian! CONGRATS for getting near the 100K goal!!!
Man, the performances in this one. And everything is beautifully shot. Peak Dave.
Great catch!
Na
Cheers🍻
I love how when he was walking towards her it flashed between Vader woth the mask and without
10:14 Btw, did you know that according to “Bespin Bulletin” there was a fight scene shot between Anakin (as Hayden Christensen) and Ahsoka (as Savannah Steyn instead of Ariana Greenblatt, at least for that scene) on Mustafar in an alternate-reality-like setting during the "world-between-world like" moments, which they said was cut from the actual episode?
Kristian while seeing those Vader flashes: "it moved." Ha loved seeing your reaction!
@TheKristianHarloff You're like a kid at Christmas! I'm glad to see Hayden getting his flowers!!!
Ahsoka was in the world between worlds before. The scene in this show was a force vision that Anakin made to reach out to Ahsoka and guide her by accessing her memories.
This show has given me everything I feel was missing from Star Wars in long time. Fantastic Episode!
Watching your reactions sums up mine so much! Love to see the joy in you watching this!
Great episode, so many end of Empire Strikes Back vibes, loved Ahsoka simply saying “I’ll find them” great score too, May the Force be with you…
Filoni got sent to god tier. He has mastered live action
I take the WBW stuff was like the cave in ESB. Keep it mysterious on the how.
Ive seen none of the animated stuff. But I loved this. I think I got filled in so well and am enthralled by the show.
Idk how to explain this but you could absolutely feel the POWER in Anakin’s lightsaber Strikes, what a masterful job by Filoni
Nice to see you (and Rocha) embracing the episode instead of "tapping out", like some others....
Ashoka's water experience has shades of the Cave on Degobah, more than it's the World between World. Perhaps the vicinity of the Nightsister Dark side over the Centuries has created a Dark Side vision hotspot. Or I'm overthinking things.
I’ve now watched episode 5 three times. I wanna see more live action Clone Wars.
It’s mystical Star Wars. Rebels was wild with mystical stuff. I find it’s often more enjoyable to leave that aspect of SW a mystery.
Wooo another reaction! I loved this episode and it actually made me tear up lol.
I loved the bubble of the scenes playing and seeing your actual reactions Kristian. Talk about leading the way! I'm next watching the Sith Council!
Love the reactions, Kristian. I know they take a ton of work. Thank you
