Maybe not use the word “classic” because sounds very arrogant. Also, appearance is not what’s most important. As a Christian myself, I do not endorse having to have a certain “look” to be adequate. God sees what’s on the inside.
And we all see whats on the outside. We all react to whats on the outside. Might want to analyze whether what you are displaying is eliciting the reaction you want from people. Just a thought...

Rachel Wates Yeah, that’s what she does, she helps people. If you disagree with what she says that’s fine, but she has the right to say what she believes.
I just wanted to comment about the working out part because people would recommend it to me throughout my life casually not that I was unhealthy or anything people would just talk about how good it was and I never felt the need to but then as I got older I felt worse and worse and heavier and heavier even though I really am not. I pushed myself to start a workout routine and a better diet and it is life changing it makes you feel good inside and out really. I can't believe I have been missing out all my life.
To all the trolls and negative commenters: I just want you to know that your opinion is valid, but so is Abby's. So, it would probably be more productive to go to a video you enjoy. Not hate-watching an advertisement that you know you hate. Not all UA-cam ad's have to be ones you agree with. There will be different and traditional views wherever you go, so being tolerant of different points of view would help everyone, including YOU. All of the positive viewers support your opinion, regardless if we agree or disagree. We just want to stop seeing so much hate in her comment section. If you hate this video/creator, this video is obviously not for you. I support you in clicking away and being more kind in the future
She paid for ads to get more viewers who had the same views as her, but she also attracted viewers who disagrees with her views and opinions. The “trolls” and “negative” commenters that you mentioned aren’t commenting hate towards Abby, they are calling out her hypocrisy like for example glowing up means becoming better towards yourself and others and respecting everyone’s personal decisions. Yet she doesn’t respect women’s choices for their own bodies like abortion by choice and hooking up with random guys for fun. In her videos, she’s basically saying “you have your choices and rights to act free but you probably shouldn’t do that because it is disrespectful and doesn’t go with my views and opinions”. Every single second that you support Abby, the more power men have over women, and the higher the chances a girl gets her life ruined because someone told her it’s wrong and murderous to have a abortion of a child that they know they don’t want. Hating on someone for their views is different from calling out a persons damaging comments that blocks or lessens another persons human rights to be free.
@@-youresogolden-7829 Okay, I am going to try and be calm in this reply. The difference between you and me is that I don't hate-watch someone, so I can live in the comment section and look for people to shout my opinion at. I have tolerance, a word that someone like you may not ever understand. To tolerate is to be peaceful. To understand and try to relate to someone elses beliefs. I know that most likely my words will fall on deaf ears. But, Abby doesn't and will NEVER deserve the shit being thrown her way. I can completely understand her beliefs, and guess what? I agree with some and disagree with some. But disagreeing is never a reason to bombard someone with hate. And also, she is being so respectful. Ya'll are so hateful and are willing to do and spread all these opinions you KNOW Abby doesn't share, just to make a problem. What happened to "let's agree to disagree?" Oh wait..you'll probably make an excuse for your behavior. You need to get a life and go protest or something, somewhere else.
Luna Moon so you agree, my views are important enough to be the main subject of a protest. “Shit” isn’t being thrown at Abby, she’s uploading contents that can suppress a women’s full experience of life and that is very mentally damaging, it can cause a women to develop disbelief in themselves and cause them to think there are boundaries to what she can and can’t do while any human being is capable to making decisions for themselves. What Abby is doing is trying to alter a women’s mind and make her believe she needs guidance on how to women. I have already mentioned this already: hate is not being dispersed when someone is speaking up about ones belief downgrading another persons belief especially if it begins to limit an individuals free choice. Abbys opinion is unaccepted the second she limited another women’s choice and telling her what to do. Abby is a conservative who believes the old way works better, that’s what all women thought back then, but we all know those same women were turned into suffragettes who fought for the human rights you have right now. As human civilization continues, it thrives and improves instead of staying in one place. When a women finally sees the inequality between wife and husband, that is the time she will thrive.
I feel so understood when I watch your videos! I’m working on my glow up now... still playing around with my fashion sense and trying to feel more confident in my body. But I think I’m light years ahead of where I was even 10 years ago. Please keep making videos, I appreciate them so much. You are such a beacon!
Dude, maybe we wouldn’t hate on her if she wouldn’t shove her conservative anti-feminist political offensive videos in our face, I know she has freedom of speech but still, most of us don’t want to watch these videos she just shoves them down our throats
I think she just meant she didn’t think of it until then... being around the gender you are attracted to does bring out a different perspective on beauty. I see girls say all the time that they will dress differently because there will be men around. Little girls might go out with 7 pony tails a fairy skirt and stripped leggings and feel like an absolute princess- because everyone deserves to( I sure did!) . It’s just what makes you feel better in that moment and more comfortable. Your idea of looking “nice” changes as you mature. Sexuality usually acting as a contributing factor. :) I don’t think she meant to say dress for men, just that it had an impact in which point in her life she matured out of the “I don’t care” phase.
Bottomline, she takes care of herself for herself and it contributes to how she feels. You leftist feminists are all somehow about women empowerment, yet when you see a strong women who is firm on their beliefs you call them out and take the things they believe in that you disagree with and call them flaws. Stop being ugly, inside and out.
@@Nabi_yajeong Her point is that she only cared what she looked like when she was around men, which is so stupid. Most of the time I wear makeup it's to show off to other women. Men don't give a damn about your highlighter.
Demon Alive for now She wears makeup for herself. She became aware of the luxury of makeup and self care while dating. The only thing I get out of this is she dated a guy who opened her up to self care. That’s a bad thing why? That’s a stupid thing why? See, it would be stupid to be in a relationship and not want each other to better themselves. People are allowed to change. It’d be stupid if they didn’t. It’s literally our nature to evolve one’s self. If she was a tomboy through school. That’s fine. If she wants to try something new as an adult. That’s great.
I totally love the message of dressing how you want and not to just follow trends, and the classic aesthetic is beautiful! The problem comes in when you try to push what makes YOU happy on everyone else because every person is an individual and there is no bad way to look and present yourself. As long as you’re doing what makes you happy and you aren’t hurting anyone.
i went to a public school and I never dressed to impress boys laAadiEs you can dress for yourself, you don't have to know how to do makeup, you can wear what u want
@@ims2581 I'm curious to know, what do you consider slutty ? I mean this term is very subjective ; in some countries, the way Abby dresses can be considered slutty because she's not wearing a Burka or hiding her hair. Would men be in the wrong for objectifying her then ? What you consider conservative and classy is actually slutty to others, and what others see as normal can be considered slutty by you. If you have been brought up a different way, your vision would be completely different, so I'm curious to know how much you trust your objectivity.
@@ims2581dont ever call a women slutty. women can WEAR WHAT THEY WANT. they can sleep with whoever and it is NOT your business to call the slutty. yes we are NOT OBJECTS. men should be taught to keep their hands and eyes to ourselves, not tell women to hide their bodies. WE SHOULD BE PROUD OF OUR SKIN. if you want to show it off. it doesn't mean men have to treat ou like an object.
I am turning 40 in a few months and only found makeup youtube in 2018. I felt clueless my whole life. So much now can be learned online, I learned to knit via verypinkknits UA-cam channel, then I went into make up, photography drawing etc. I’m grateful for Abby adding to my healthy diet of self esteem, and self actualization. Love you Girl! ❤️
Why does everyone hate on someone who is just stating their opinion? If you don’t like it, don’t watch it. And above all, stop leaving negativity on other people’s videos. How you treat others is a reflection of you... wish more people would realize this concept these days.
I genuinely feel bad for feeling the same way others did about you and your channel here on UA-cam. I’ve watched several of your videos and I honestly think you’re doing a good thing but just came in a little too heavy with your channel. I appreciate your opinion and I enjoy your videos even if I don’t always agree :)
The last portion about the internal glow up and marriage! 💜 My husband and I married almost a year ago and I completely relate about the sense of calm. Being a wife includes trying to be my best self so that I can be the best me and teammate (wife) I can be. Still working towards it for sure but it’s a process 😂
Really shows what she boils down women’s existence to. Appearance and serving in marriage. Since it’s all Abby talks about in her videos. See, as a liberal women, we believe that female empowerment means giving the woman the free will and choice to do for her body and her own life as she pleases. Whether that be a housewife who is dedicated to marriage, dress modestly, and imply conservative values, or be the provider of a family, and take on roles that conservatively are more “masculine”. But as a liberal, it is beloved these these roles can be accommodated to however a person chooses to imply them in their OWN life. See the problem with conservativism is that it implies, let’s say for women specifically, that a woman should do this, and that, and should dress modestly, and give her life to marriage, and so forth. And if she doesn’t do this, it’s a disgrace to her value as a woman to serve her feminine role. But liberalism promises and values that she do what she desires for HERSELF. You have the free will to be BEYOND these conservative values that are set for women. Values that are often oppressive because they are a MUST standard for, women specifically, let’s say. (All these behaviors are common in conservatives. Like tell me that’s now that they want anyway.)
Six is Hungry The unfortunate thing about this open discussion is that you assume that I am negatively judging conservative values. I’m explaining how liberal values do not necessarily Go against conservative values, but the difference is that we allow others to expand on women’s individual terms of female empowerment and what it means for each woman. I even addressed that if a woman wants to accommodate conservative values for herself, glory to her! The conservative values tend to oppress others if someone chooses not to following such values, and I think that is oppressive. And THAT is an observation that I made, not a judgment. It’s not even an observation based off of a small sample, that’s how it comes to be. Please be careful with what you claim, if you wish to do so.
I love your glow up. I feel the same when it comes to your husband once I was married I just felt fearless and really could embrace my femininity. I had that support to just be me.
I love Mrs. Midwest's channel! I've been watching her for about a year now. Regarding skin, removing sugar in all forms from my diet has eliminated my acne. I started this 18 months ago and I saw the results within the first month. It was an intended result and I'm super happy about it! Might be something for others to try.
I used to like Mrs Midwest but I did find some stuff in her past that is concerning. I’m not the type of person to purge those who have said some things in the past, but what she was associating herself to was not too long ago and concerning. She had followed some white supremacy type content, in which she liked a post that said “my ancestors didn’t race mix”. Followed people like Roosh V and other very misogynistic creators. I’m not the one to label everything as that, but she is one of the rare circumstances that deserves to be looked at. You can dismiss my post or blatantly ignore it, but I would highly suggest doing a few google searches on her relating to this. I am a huge fan of Aly Art and Abby herself.
Ok I feel so sorry for you cause u keep getting hate- But the problem is- our just stating facts, and society has kept twisting words to make them sound good even if they are not! I bet you later there gonna come to you and be saying sorry a million times- istg y is society like this- btw ily abby!
Yeah, really poorly done video. She’s really low effort and lazy when it comes to making these go above and beyond. Definitely won’t be rewatching, there are much better vloggers out there who actually put forth the effort.
I started highlighting my hair blonde about a year ago, and now I’ve gone mostly blonde to emulate Carolyn Bessette. Currently, I don’t heat style my hair (occasional blow dry) to assure it stays healthy. Instead, I’ll use foam curlers (my boyfriend says I look like a grandma in them) or will do up dos/half up, half down hairstyles.
LuNaTiC xoxo Exactly, I dress for myself (to make myself feel better/confident) and mostly for other people because I want to look like a decent person when I’m around others. Early! Same, it was definitely not instinctive and natural to be “classic” for me. But sometimes improvement means going against your instincts and natural inclinations. And for the record, before someone says something, I mean overall. Not just focusing on outward appearances. If you focus only on that, that’s superficial, not necessarily overall improvement.
I'm pretty sure "Please cease advertising" is a blocked comment now so uhhh if people want to spam that + a unique emoji on all her videos maybe she'll notice and stop advertising or at least react and that would be funny lmao

To be honest I don’t agree with hardly any of your views BUT I do like your advice of taking care of yourself not just to look good but to be as healthy as possible because you really do glow up when you learn to come from a place of loving yourself and wanting to take care of yourself, not just to look good

I think my glow up started when I lost 60 pounds. Still going on my weight loss journey, but a lot of other things came with it: learning how to dress for my body type, eating healthier, taking care of my skin etc. I just turned 30 and realized that I didn't want to spend my 30s like I did my 20s: uncomfortable in my skin and miserable. Loved this video. You're definitely an inspiration 😊

@@DavidMartinez-ce3lp yes, of course and you dress up and act to impress girls or boys, I don't know what you like, but you adapt your style in order to like someone, at least in a little way! But we all have done something like that. It's natural.
Honestly, I have very different beliefs than Abby. We don't seem to have a lot in common. Very different world views. However, this was a lovely watch.
This woman claims that she did not care about her looks because she went to all girls high school - it is self respect and self love that makes one care or not care about physical appearance, not the presence of boys. Also, that necklace looks like a rosary, love it.
People aren’t trolling. We just assume she is because in 2020 it’s hard to believe someone so young could be so anti-female and degrading to women while being a woman. It’s almost like I’m watching a video from the 1900s and I’m being told I’m a bad person for showing my wrists and ankles. It’s bizarre. You can do what you want but you cross the line when you: 1. Judge others for what they do 2. Tell other people what to do 3. Demonize and degrade people for their personal style and choices. Then you’re just a mean person with a fake “nice person” persona. And if she can dish it, she better be able to take it.
Jenelle Gast how could a female who tells women what they can and can’t wear, bashes them if they wear a cropped shirt and basically says that “life starts at marriage” be pro women?
Froggy Chair have you watched her videos all the way though? She bashed No one! She said we are all on different journeys she gives tips is to help IF you are on that journey she says some cover up more then her done cover up less we are all on our own journey! Also I am married and my life has changed so much for the better marriage In my opinion is amazing (why do you think so many people are fighting for it)
Jenelle Gast that’s great that your happy with your marriage and your life but in videos like her “wap” review she’s complaining about cardi and Nicki Pushing their beliefs on other people when she literally pays THOUSANDS of dollars worth of ads to get her content out there.
I recall my classic glow up in my freshman year of high school when I met my friend who tried to get me deep into church stuff. I admired her style and she has impacted me as a person and my style..it didn’t take a year or so until I realized how much I admire the classical look she rocked! So I went to thrift stores and bought many long skirts and I realized how comfortable and confident I felt !
I would love to feel more classic. I really appreciate these videos. Can you make a video about your journey to exercising regularly and eating healthier? Vodka! Straight? No, gay. nothing wrong with being classic, just like nothing is wrong with being non classic. Its only a provlem when people try to force others to be the same.
Nobody said that everyone had to be Classic it’s just that if you want to be classic this is how to do it and this is how Abby had a glow up and became classic.
Chloe F the statement of being "classic" is so problematic tho...all women are different...theres no "classic" woman. coming from a white person lol this perpetuates European beauty standards while condemning others
I love your videos. I am 13 and I know what it is like being conservative in a Liberal world.😉 I love your advice about becoming a woman thank you.🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
I just found Abby’s channel through an ad, but why does it get so much hate? From what I’ve seen, she sounds presentable & respectful in all her videos that I’ve watched, so do people just not like her because she openly supports traditional/conservative values? My impression is I never felt personally attacked or like she was telling anyone the right or wrong way to be in her videos, but rather that she just seems to be using this platform to share her own opinion and views.
I kinda have an issue with the term "classic". What does that mean? What does it /really/ mean, because Marilyn Monroe was classic. Audrey Hepburn was classic. Elizabeth Taylor was classic. They /all/ had serious sex appeal. I get wanting to be a decent woman, but this just feels way too vague and frankly, off-putting. Serious NPC vibes. And I'm a conservative. Modesty culture and femininity aren't mutually exclusive :/
@@DavidMartinez-ce3lp But even then, her femininity is purely wrapped up in modesty culture, it's not true femininity. Using the term "classic" is vague and odd. Women can have sex appeal and still be conservative. Sex appeal is very different from promiscuity. Women are allowed to have that appeal.
@@george.eliot42 she uses "classic" to mean more traditional/conservative. She is simply providing suggestions for women to feel more self confident. She's not saying you can't dress other ways. This style is an option, and she's promoting it because it has worked in her personal experience. This is what she feels is more feminine
Does she realize how privileged she sounds. Not everyone can afford to take care of their skin I.e. afford products, have the time to have a skincare routine, afford seeing a dermatologist. Not everyone can afford boujee outfits!
Ok? But she can. Let her. Stop complaining everything Conservative women do. Geez we already get enough hate from peers and we can never start a community 😒
The reason you cant start your "community" here is because these videos are being pushed onto other people's UA-cam feed. Its annoying to people like me who don't want to watch this type of content, so if these videos weren't ads you'd probably be able to have a community.

Ok so because she went to an all girls school she “didn’t care what she looked like”... because she only looks nice for men?

Demon Alive for now
She wears makeup for herself.
As long as you’re doing what makes you happy and you aren’t hurting anyone.
i went to a public school and I never dressed to impress boys

@@ims2581 I'm curious to know, what do you consider slutty ? I mean this term is very subjective ; in some countries, the way Abby dresses can be considered slutty because she's not wearing a Burka or hiding her hair. Would men be in the wrong for objectifying her then ? What you consider conservative and classy is actually slutty to others, and what others see as normal can be considered slutty by you. Why does everyone hate on someone who is just stating their opinion? If you don’t like it, don’t watch it. And above all, stop leaving negativity on other people’s videos. How you treat others is a reflection of you... wish more people would realize this concept these days.

The last portion about the internal glow up and marriage! 💜 My husband and I married almost a year ago and I completely relate about the sense of calm. Stop trying to make "classic" happen. It's never going to happen.
I can tell you aren’t classic 😂
I honestly hope it does. I think we’ve just about hit rock bottom morally as a society. I think it’s refreshing to see a different perspective.
Coley yup 👏🏻
@@Kyle-ye7tb Exactly, degenaracy is the norm in today's society.
Six is Hungry
The unfortunate thing about this open discussion is that you assume that I am negatively judging conservative values.
Six is Hungry

I just found Abby’s channel through an ad, but why does it get so much hate? From what I’ve seen, she sounds presentable & respectful in all her videos that I’ve watched, so do people just not like her because she openly supports traditional/conservative values? I kinda have an issue with the term "classic". What does that mean? What does it /really/ mean, because Marilyn Monroe was classic. Audrey Hepburn was classic. Elizabeth Taylor was classic. They /all/ had serious sex appeal. I get wanting to be a decent woman, but this just feels way too vague and frankly, off-putting. Serious NPC vibes. And I'm a conservative.
Modesty culture and femininity aren't mutually exclusive :/
She means being more conservative and feminine. Doing things to help you build up your self confidence
@@DavidMartinez-ce3lp But even then, her femininity is purely wrapped up in modesty culture, it's not true femininity. Using the term "classic" is vague and odd. @@george.eliot42 she uses "classic" to mean more traditional/conservative. She is simply providing suggestions for women to feel more self confident. She's not saying you can't dress other ways.
