What I’ve found is that when I’m wearing something feminine, classy and modest; I feel more empowered and comfortable with myself. I stop feeling watched/judged by other people, stop feeling objectivized, stop comparing myself to others, and also feel prettier.
May I say that men like me appreciate that, especially because of your standing against the laziness of many. It's like I feel when I'm working out consistently - if I feel better about my discipline & dedication, then everything in life, job, etc. feels better.

Not sure if I can phrase this properly or if I’m being too accusatory, but I feel like most of the hate you get is largely just from how easily you write off - or at least seemingly so - the outlook of those with opposing views. I usually agree with your ‘classic’ perspective actually, but these videos feel incredibly snarky at times with the delegitimization jabs at newer cultural trends that don’t happen to align with these specific views. I really don’t understand some of these things either, but I believe there’s better ways of promoting these ideals without being as condescending. I’m probably thinking about this too much though. I agree. There wouldn't be a problem with her content if she didn't take every opportunity to shit on women whose ideals don't align with hers. It's fine to want to dress modestly, have conservative values, and prefer a traditional lifestyle. It's not fine when you try to make people feel like your way of life is better than everyone else's.
For me, when I have too much of an unnatural look, I can often stray away from my true beauty. I believe God created me beautifully and if I go hugely unnatural, I just am too judgmental of myself at the end of the day when I take off the makeup, nail extensions, etc :)
Has... has she heard of Himekaji/ Japanese Larme magazine? It bases upon blouses and frilly clothes and you still look like a princess if you want to wear a shorter skirt! I personally think it looks cute!
Meghan isn’t a working royal so she does whatever she wants, clearly. She doesn’t follow any of the rules, not that she respected them when she was a royal either. Just wanted to point that out. She’s not a part of the royal family, not in the sense of working for it or representing it. It’s sad that some people still make that mistake and think she does represent them because she definitely does not. They are a conservative and traditional institution that I look up to for those reasons and just wanted to make that point because Meghan is the duchess of woke, not a representative of that beautiful and traditional institution. Catherine is an incredible role model for more traditional or conservative woman. She’s lovely 🥰
I have found the midi length, so like mid calf, is incredibly unflattering compared to full length, knee, above knee lengths, I stopped wearing a black j crew skirt for this reason even though it was really comfortable, it made me look shorter and cut off my legs at a wide point and highlighted that.. I also have trouble with skirts of any length twisting around my waist, I have had good luck with cotton dresses and don't have those issues and avoid the midi length of course
I’m an atheist, but for myself, I appreciate modest dress and no tattoos, ring piercing, etc. for women. Obviously, this has nothing to do with religion (I have none), but solely for sartorial and aesthetic reasons: modest dress for women generally looks tasteful. Perhaps this is why I like Orthodox Jewish women; many of them are beautiful and elegant, almost like queens.
You're right, Abby. I've been in the grocery store or just out and about, and I feel like I'm sticking out like a sore thumb because I hardly see women in dresses or skirts. Love your content💕
I live in the Midwest (Iowa & Minnesota). No way in heck am I wearing anything but jeans & warm socks in the winter. Dresses and skirts are a big no-no. That being said, I should pick up some more dressed and skirts for summer. It's tough though because it's only warm 3 months out of the year and it's really obvious when you wear the same dress often so you don't get much cost per wear compared to jean shorts for example. I need to find cheaper options for skirts and dresses I think.
@@MsPatClaus yeah it's -20 in winter with blowing snow and I have to scrape my car every day haha so no to bare legs. This advice for year-round dresses is definitely for those in milder climates. :)
@@MsPatClaus Hi fellow Mainer! I found lined “skin-tone” leggings in Japan they were so great. They had so many skin tones for different people! Shocking to find that in Japan.
When I was younger and a teenager it was all about the mini skirt and the midriff showing spaghetti tops … since my mid twenties I’ve been preferring longer trousers and dresses because they just make me feel so much comfortable with myself. Also no more midriff showing stuff, high waisted things are the way to go (It’s also stops me from getting a tummy ache or painful back!) and it’s super flattering !
I've always loved skirts and dresses. When I was a kid I started to really hate pants and jeans because I felt like I kept on tripping over them and they dragged along the grass and puddles and they felt uncomfortable. So since then I was a skirt girl. I wear colourful and vibrant tight leggings when it's cold as it's tight around my legs, but still prefer skirts. I find the nude and bare nails hard because I love nail polish and nail art. I love having colourful nails and I hate the idea of abandoning them!
I absolutely love to wear dresses and skirts. I also love pairing them with hats. I'm 22 but my fashion sense is in the 50s! Haha and I love it! Great video
I do like some of these rules, but as a petite woman, i can’t pull off skirts that go passed the knee. If I do wear them, I wear super high heels. I don’t even own a single pair of flats or kitten heels
As a guy, I certainly agree that tan-colored nylons accentuate the beauty of all women. The silky fabric enhances the elegant, dignified shapes & curves that make up their natural beauty.

I love dresses, but also chub rub, so i end up having to wear shorts under a dress anyways and then i think well, at this point i might as well just wear pants. i cant wait to wear dresses and shorts more when i lose some weight/ get healthier.
There’s a product on Amazon called Bandalettes! It’s just a wide band that goes on the top of your thighs!! There are AMAZING! And to me, work better than shorts, and for sure better than creams because those wear off!

Love these tips! I do most of these things anyway. I’d like to wear more skirts and dresses but I’m apple-shaped, skinny legs with a big tummy, thicker waist. Skinny pants look better I think. I am not opposed to googling some apple-friendly dresses. Do any of you have this problem?
Dresses with a slightly higher waist (not empire, just higher) are most flattering on apple-shaped figures! If you're petite, make sure to purchase petite, as the waist on regular dresses will fall even lower which is not flattering. I like to take up my dresses one inch at the shoulder as it brings up the waist, and is also more comfortable! Hope this is helpful!
Justine Leconte (another UA-camr) has a lot of fashion videos that go through advice for each body type and what types of clothing look best for each, (not pushing whatever the latest trend is!)
I get most of my dresses from thrift stores, because they're less expensive and have nice vintage styles. I'm trying to learn to sew so that I can adjust the dresses for my size; it feels like they're always either too short or too wide on the waist. So far I only know the basics of sewing, but it's progress. :) Eventually I may be sewing my own dresses!
Some Royal trivia I have read...the Queen’s favorite nail polish is “‘Ballet Slippers” by Essie, she likes Elizabeth Arden lipstick and Clarins hand cream, and weights are sewn inside her hems so her dress doesn’t blow up if it is a windy day. Great topic, Abby, thank you!
I don't trust the Sales Rack cuz i know that its just pieces from the clothing line that no one wanted, otherwise known as the least appealing of the line, the best and cutest pieces always sell out and never make it to the sales rack at all imo

If she was Blonde she would have by now. Tomi Lauren, Kaitlin Bennet, Ann Coulter, Laura Ingraham, they all have their hair color in common. If Abby was Blonde she probably would be going somewhere, because even with all the advertising & algorithmic help she gets, & clout by association of Ben, she isn't getting traction. Probably a good reason for that.
Abby, “Fashion is art, and you are the canvas.” I love Kate, but it makes me sad that her image is used to push conservative ideology. I’m a liberal who also loves Kate’s style- I’m not trying to be modest to impress a guy, I just love fashion that takes inspiration from history. Why can’t we appreciate fashion without judging women if they dress differently than us? Abby, I’d like you to understand that just because someone dresses “classy,” doesn’t mean they hold your beliefs about women’s role in society. Please understand I’m not trying to offend you, but I hope in the future you approach modern issues with more nuance and tact. Femininity does not mean subservience or weakness- it’s simply a way of presenting yourself. Unfortunately, the political views people like you force on others means that feminine style like Kate’s has become synonymous with supporting homophobia, bigotry, racism, sexism, and more. I am a pro choice, bisexual feminist who loves Kate’s style, yet people assume that I hold the same values as you do. Femininity does not belong to you, and choosing to dress a certain way does not mean I am a woman who wants to be subservient. I appreciate your love of art and music (I’m a cellist), but I am disappointed in the way you weaponize femininity to push your harmful ideology. I know this won’t change your mind on anything, but to the person scrolling through the comments, please consider the things I’ve said.
Dear Abby, Did you know that the function of tights and panty hose does not inherently make them royal or classy? They literally just exist to stuff your sausage thighs into an elegant form. That's not "classy", that's just function. Love You, Ash

Cheers if you’ve read this far 👍🏻
@Lifesucks! Sodoesgoogle she likes to push her ads literally everywhere.
Yes, you nailed it! Nicely done!
For me, when I have too much of an unnatural look, I can often stray away from my true beauty. I believe God created me beautifully and if I go hugely unnatural, I just am too judgmental of myself at the end of the day when I take off the makeup, nail extensions, etc :)
Beautiful comment ❤
My go to classy girl outfit is fishnets, mini denim skirt, "I🩷older women" shirt and cigarette earrings
These are great tips..
I exclusively wear skirts and dresses and have for the past 3 years. It has boosted my self confidence more than ANYTHING else.
Elegant? Girl you have the fashion taste of a middle age woman who puts up “live laugh love” signs in her house.
🤣
She know style not necessarily fashion. It's you who doesn't know the difference.

Has... has she heard of Himekaji/ Japanese Larme magazine? It bases upon blouses and frilly clothes and you still look like a princess if you want to wear a shorter skirt! I personally think it looks cute!
Oh my gosh, this is a really helpful and practical video!! Thank you Abby! ♥️
I love easy to put on flowy dresses. Comfortable for summer, feminine and attractive compared to tank and shorts or mini skirts.
Don’t wanna make this a competition or anything like that but what about Muslim women :P
Brilliantly explained.
You're right, Abby. I've been in the grocery store or just out and about, and I feel like I'm sticking out like a sore thumb because I hardly see women in dresses or skirts. Love your content💕
Random question, I’m an opera lover. Who is your favorite soprano rendition of Queen of the Night? I love Diana Damrau
I agree that generally in the winter, it's important to wear what keeps you warm! :)
You can always wear skirts and tights with high boots in the winter! I live in Maine and that’s what I live in in the winter.
@@MsPatClaus yeah it's -20 in winter with blowing snow and I have to scrape my car every day haha so no to bare legs. This advice for year-round dresses is definitely for those in milder climates. :)
Sometimes thrift stores have nice dresses.
@@MsPatClaus Hi fellow Mainer! I found lined “skin-tone” leggings in Japan they were so great. They had so many skin tones for different people! Shocking to find that in Japan.
I didn't know until after I got married how many men like women to wear dresses.
DEEZ NUTS DREESE
"Tan colored"? What if the womans legs aren't tan? There are way more skin tones than just that one.
try lilac nails they're really beautiful i painted mine lilac
Thank you sooo much for letting us know where you shop!!! I’ve been wondering for so long haha
I only wear skirts and dresses! However in the summer they’re probably shorter than you’d approve of.
Dress however you prefeer please. Don't think of what others will "appeove of"
Thank you, Abby for all the tips on class!
As an artist I like wearing bright colors for makeup, so if I want to be noticed - I’ll try cool makeup. That’s me though.
I love your content..: like this is the kind of information that women need these days! I have a cocktail tomorrow and trust me im gonna apply all of these tips for tomorrow!!
I legit can make an entire day of it At TJMAXX
I can only wear flats unfortunately. Manolo has actually gorgeous gorgeous flats. I fall in heels
Did these rules count from a blind ladies to?
I adore the elegant look.🌸
Kate seems has mastered being strong and delicate vibes
Yo she straight up copied Jamila Musayeva's most recent videos about the British Royal family. Disappointed.
I will wear whatever tf I want and and you say women shouldn’t wear stuff to attract other people yet you say it will be attractive 💀

@@chrisbarrett2117 flies? The flies are the republican trump supporters and I would never date them and I don’t dress to attract.

Totally agree shop the sale rack, just got 3 of the designer target dresses half price what a steal.
I love dresses, but also chub rub, so i end up having to wear shorts under a dress anyways and then i think well, at this point i might as well just wear pants. i cant wait to wear dresses and shorts more when i lose some weight/ get healthier.
Try some chub rub cream.
There’s a product on Amazon called Bandalettes! It’s just a wide band that goes on the top of your thighs!! There are AMAZING! And to me, work better than shorts, and for sure better than creams because those wear off!

@@Jcon4002 watch her video she made on Megan the Stallion. Then read ths comment section. I'm sure you'll understand after seeing that. And if not, then we understand why you're a stan of hers.
@@Introverted.Alien. I literally never said I was a stan of her 😐 I was just curious as to why people hate her because I have been seeing her a lot on my reccomend page lately but I guess I'll watch the video you told me to watch .
I love that your mom follows Kate haha I loved your video with your mom recently you are part of such a wonderful family💛
Love this! My husband loves dresses and I do too!
i love dresses!
The sewing weights inside is brilliant
Did she say the “royals?” I’m out.
That would be the way to refer to the House of Windsor.
I mean Kate is literally a royal...
If someone does your highlights other than God, they do a great job.

How much advertising does it take to get 100k views? ... Abby doesn't know yet.

Abby,
“Fashion is art, and you are the canvas.”
I love Kate, but it makes me sad that her image is used to push conservative ideology.

Kate Middleton and Melania Trump= classic. I just love their styles. Melania never looked out of place with her occasion. Same with Kate.
Is this Ben Shapiro in a dress?
yes
Dear Abby,
Did you know that the function of tights and panty hose does not inherently make them royal or classy? They literally just exist to stuff your sausage thighs into an elegant form. That's not "classy", that's just function.
Love You,
Ash
Do you know the history of tights and hose?
