    I forgot to mention! Pet insurance or having a little savings set aside is super important when owning any pet, especially a bird!

      Seriously India has worlds biggest insurance company but you Americans can buy and sell insurance for anything like anything. It’s actually quite smart in its own way

      You can use something even better than ACV, called Grapefruit Seed Extract.
      It's incredibly effective!
      We use one from a brand called NutriBiotic Vegan GSE, which is found on amazon.
      Good luck! We're definitely fans!

    My goodness, it’s like having a baby. One must be patient, careful, caring, and be sensitive. Also one must have plenty of time for the birdie baby. I’ll just enjoy my baby thru you and yours, thank you.

    Awe Bogies come so far and is adorable as ever tooo!!💗 I actually had a 7 mos old African Grey that died just because I fed her a blackberry that was just barely over-ripe....But, enough so that it made her really sick!💔 By the time I got over to WSU & their veterinary teaching hospital she had died within 15 min. of getting there. I was absolutely devastated & felt like I had killed my own bird!💔 So you're definitely right at just how quickly they can go downhill.... Thanks for the educational video. I think people compare them to dogs/cats etc. when they are actually far, far more delicate than most pets!!

    That sounds SO SCARY! I would be so cared and sad if my budgies got sick! Poor baby bogie! Glad he is better! This was helpful for indicating sickness, especially the crop and vomiting, my budgies always grab something and run and I don’t see what is in their mouths so that should help. Thanks for this video! Love and luck to you and bogie! ❤️💕

      @@EMILY662Nicklasa ctually, garlic is bad for birds :( here's what i found
      Onions and garlic
      Onions contain sulfur compounds that, when chewed, can irritate the lining of a bird's mouth, esophagus, or crop, causing ulcers, and can induce rupture of red blood cells resulting in anemia. Garlic contains allicin, another chemical that can cause anemia and weakness in birds.

    I am so happy that Bogi is doing better. He is so sweet and how can one not just completely adore him? I love every single one of your videos and have become such a big fan. You have a beautiful energy about you, and I love watching the relationship you have with a bird that has a very special and loving soul. It would be so great if you could make a video on your recipe for Bogi's chop. I'm always on the lookout for your videos. Adore you both!

    My bird seems to make choke/sneeze when we try to pick him up, he is hand trained but’ll run away when you try but if you get too close or he’ll climb up. What do the noises mean (he’s maybe 12-14 weeks if that helps)

      @@flocklife Yeah it's a great way to Stay on top of these little guys, their masters of disguise, but sounds like you're pretty much doing everything right. I have my bird on bird tricks feeding system as well as pellets. Why did your doctor recommend Higgins as well, just out of curiosity?

    • @flocklife
      @flocklife  3 роки тому

      @@crystaltaylor9807 yeah she recommended Harrison’s to add to the Birdtricks pellets. They told me not to give bogie chop while he was sick so I was worried that he wouldn’t have enough nutrition because the Birdtricks pellet is very low in fats and other vitamins because they are not fortified. If supplemented with vegetables, I’m sure it’s fine but since he wasn’t eating any vegetables I was worried that he would be malnourished. Harrison‘s has fortified vitamins in it

    I tried so hard to get my rescue african grey to eat their pellets, but she refuses too ughh! So I feed her Roudy Busy mixed with a few other top brands. I just wish she would stop being sooo hormonal omg! I've had her for about 7 months now & she's been hormonal this entire time it seems!? In turn it's my boyfriend that is her trigger and we live together too, so he still can't handle her at all, or she'll draw blood sadly!🤷🏼‍♀️
